Welcome to Paradise”
i don't think i will be able to rave enough about this hotel. this was the second time i have visited koh samui but my first stay at this hotel. i was looking to stay in the fisherman's village area so i had a few hotels to choose from and it was a hard choice when reading reviews etc. well i made the right choice. well named the peace resort. our first impressions were fantastic with a wooden walkway which lead from reception to the front of the property where the pool, restaurant and beach were located. pathways wound through a beautiful garden and at the end of each path your wooden chalet was nestled amoung the trees and scrubs. our room was a good size with a lovely verandah with table and chairs. the bed was large with a good reading light. fridge, tv, aircon etc. the bathroom had a bath and we were provided with shampoos, scrubs and bath salts. there was wireless internet available in your room and also they had a computer room for those who didn't bring their laptops. the facilities at the hotel were excellent. great pool, restaurant etc. plenty of deck chairs around the pool and looking out over the bay. they even put chairs on the beach for you to enjoy. i stayed here for 4 nights and spent plenty of time relaxing down by the water. we ate at the hotel restaurant one night. they set up beanbags on the beach. the setting is very romantic and the food was fabulous. this hotel suits families, couples (young & old). if your after a party go somewhere else!

Peaceful and satisfactory”
We came to the resort in early september which was about the right time with enough people to be comfortable. Our villa was in view of the ocean, not ten paces from the beach- beautiful location. The resort enjoys its own little private section of the beach- beware though as the sea floor drops away quite rapidly and gets deep quick. Water was also not as clear- I couldn't even see my knees when it was up to my shoulders. I don't think the water was dirty as such- maybe the current as its quite strong being pushed in between samui and pangnan. Still, a very nice swim. The pool itself is also well kept and enjoyable with the pool bar serving amazing cocktails (try the tom yam vodka, a lovely little aromatic number that I want to take home) Only issue I have with this resort is staff at reception-they are lovely and will do what they can to help you, WHEN they put down their phones/stop chatting amongst themselves and decide to acknowledge you. Communication may also be an issue, it took a while for the girl to understand what we wanted when organising a boat to koh phang nan, and when asking about return transfers etc. However if they understood, they will do what they can to help and are all very friendly. The location itself is more ideal to couples looking for a more quiet side to the island away from the carnage that is chaweng- make no mistake, this island is extremely touristy on the main strip and phangnan is the place to go for a more quiet time. There is incidentally no where to get food in the Bo Phut area near midnight so if you're a late eater bear this in mind. One last thing to note is a small print service charge on the menus. All in all for the money we paid we were happy with the experience and enjoyed our stay here and we wish this cute little resort well: 8.5/10 (final- if you want an airport transfer, email the hotel directly as even though we put a request through Agoda there was no one to greet us at the airport)

Peace it is!”
We had a wonderful stay at Peace Resort and are going back for one more night after we leave Koh Tao. The resort is well situated in a quiet part of Samui - not too far from Fishermans Village which has some good shopping. Every book says the beach isn't as nice as Chaweng, but it's still beautiful. The sand may be coarser, but you have a beautiful vista out to Koh Phangnan. The staff are great. Very friendly and helpful! The reception team helped organize a car rental for us - we drove around the island one day - and still think Peace Resrot was the best! We arranged pickup from the airport prior to arriving, and the pickup was exactly as arranged - prompt and very friendly. Deluxe room was beautiful with A/C (much needed!) in the bedroom only - otherwise fans and big veranda let lots of cooling air move around. Definitely recommend this resort!

Peaceful, Tranquil, Good Staff”
hubby and i stayed at the peace for 5 nights (july 2011). the little resort/hotel is really peaceful, great veranda loungers at a great pool. lovely grounds, plants, setting. great buffet breakfast, also the restaurant (buffet) is right on the beach, very tranquil and nice setting. when you step on the beach no matter whether you go left or right, plenty of restaurants and massage places at very reasonable prices. the fisherman's village is 5 minutes walk-away along the beach. great place to shop a bit with loads of restaurants, we went to plenty, happy elephant is one that impressed. the room was quite small, but fine. the shower was poor, which is a shame. as a hot and good shower is quite important for an enjoyable stay. the beach is one of the better ones on samui, overall not impressed with any of the beaches on samui. we use to extremely good water visibility and quite white beaches here in dubai. the sea shore is also quite muddy. but overall a fantastic relaxing holiday. recommend the peace resort and also staying on the bophut side of samui - chiwaeng side pretty full-on, nasty touristy, etc. does not matter where you go in thailand, always remember mosquito repellent! also, when you step out of peace grounds on the road side (not beach) there is a car rental place immediately on your right - great service, we rented a little jeep (700baht a day) and explored all corners of the island.

Peace resort stay”
We had such a wonderful time at peace resort. Not only is the place beautiful but very affordable for western standards. The food was fabulous from the breakfast buffet to the sea wrap restaurant at night and the location was ideal and away from all the craziness if you like more quaint towns. You can walk to the fishing village in 10 mins on the beach. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has scooter rental which was very convenient. I rented one for 4 days and road all the way around the island. Koh Samui is paradise and I would definitely stay at Peace resort again.

I forget to use 15% discount coupons at restaurant. It suppose to be remind from them. I relised that I didn't use coupons... haha

Nice little find ”
I've stayed in Koh Samui many times and have driven by the Peace Resort a lot, but I've never stayed there until this trip. Now I realize that was a mistake. This is a really great little spot that I'm glad I finally discovered. The staff are all friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and the whole place has a really nice, laid-back feel. It's like Koh Samui used to be before it was so developed. Recommended.

Excellent Resort for Families”
Peace Resort was amazing. I've never stayed anywhere better in Thailand. The absolute perfect set up for families with small children. Right on the beach but rooms set back in gardens so felt very safe. Lots of toys for kids to use in the pool and beach. Great playroom indoors for rainy days and playground outdoors for sunny days. Very friendly staff. Internet speed was great. Best buffet breakfast!!! Different items every day. Lots of healthy choices too. The resort is older but very well maintained. Bungalows are light and airy. Comfortable bed. Lots of natural wood in the rooms, green touches like no plastic bottles of shampoo etc. Lovely refillable ceramic ones instead. Welcome note written on a leaf. Staff were very caring and entertained my son a lot. I was hospitalised for most of my stay in Samui and the manager assisted us in finding a hospital and then staff drove my husband and son to visit me every day.

A relaxing stay at the Peace Resort”
The best thing about the resort was the staff - all smiling, all friendly, all helpful. All are to be congratulated, as is the management. We stayed in a Sea Breeze Pool Villa and cannot fault the villa in anyway, it even had a coffee-pod machine [ instead of the usual, gross Nescafe sachets ]. The wifi was great, the pool crystal clear, the bed was comfortable and a selection of pillows was on-hand. The two negatives I would say about the villa are 1. the TV programmes, not that one is on holiday to watch TV but a movie channel for tropical rain time would be a nice addition and 2. the lack of complete privacy - normally such a villa would be enclosed behind a minimum 2 metre wall but this isn't the case at Peace - here sections of the 'wall' are trimmed trees only, which compromises visual security and, more importantly, physical security - unwanted access can be easily gained, simply by stepping through the branches. The pool is surrounded by plenty of lounges and umbrellas, which more positioned on the beach. The breakfast, about which a number of other reviewers raved, is by no means inadequate but for those of us familiar with resorts in SE Asia, it really isn't in the 'rave' class, so we found it a little disappointing, compared to what the reviews had lead us to expect. Don't worry, you will not go hungry! The resort is located close to The Wharf, which is thankfully not a 'wharf' but a shopping [ sort of ] and restaurant centre, which provides one of the access points to the Fisherman's' Village Walking Street, which is a long, narrow streets enclosed on restaurants and [ souvenir ] shops along both sides, with most of the restaurants on the northern side offering indoor, balcony of beach dining options. The street is also home to a market2-3 times a week and worth a crowded stroll ... Other attractions, such as Chaweng Beach, Lamai, waterfalls 1 and 2, the Big C and Central Festival shopping centres and, of course, massage parlours [ by the thousand

Beautiful resort with excellent service ”
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Peace Resort in the middle of our 2 week trip through Thailand. This was the perfect place to unwind and pamper ourselves a bit. The hotel staff was great, we were able to easily rent a motorbike from them and our room was perfect. The pool and beach were right outside our door and both were great. We use the gym facilities and while the room was a bit small, it was perfectly fine for a quick vacation workout. The included breakfast was a nice buffet with great options for all, including an omelette station. We did not eat any other meals at the hotel restaurant because I had read that it was not very good. There are plenty of other places to each between Fisherman's Village and the surrounding areas. I would recommend finding your restaurants early and making bookings, especially if you're coming during the high season. Overall, Peace Resort was a great way to relax during our trip and we would certainly stay there again.

Dear Anna, We would like to thank you fro your positive review. We are delighted to read that you appreciated our resort for its relaxing feel. It is true that we got some negative comment about our restaurant. But we also got an equal amount of positive ones. May we recommend you to take the opportunity to try one of our special evenings. We are looking forward to welcome you once again. Kind regards, The management
Exceptional”
We had an incredible 10 day holiday at Peace resort. The hotel was beautifully presented and very clean, one of the best we've stayed at. The bar/restaurant is particularly nice, set right on the beachfront with beautiful views. The food is great and very reasonably priced, and there's a huge selection for breakfast. The hotel as a really peaceful atmosphere but there's also something going on every day, from yoga classes to live music to Thai buffets. It's around a 10 minute walk to Fisherman's Village where there's a choice of lots of restaurants and a great street market every Friday. There's also a night market at Bandara Resort (2 doors down along the beach) on a Tuesday night which is worth checking out. Overall a really peaceful and relaxing stay, we would definitely recommend.

Exotic Haven”
Warm and friendly welcome. Stayed in the superior garden villa.Nice grounds. The villa had many windows and felt a little overlooked by residents. However the accomodation was a good standard and nice to have our own terrace. All staff very friendly and attentive. Resort popular with european package holiday makers. Pool area a little cramped. Beach front wonderful, attentive staff to ensure comfort. Pool bar and restaurant very nice, with good views of sea and beach. Food quality good, although menu didn't always reflect the reality. Good selection of drinks. Regular daily promotions. The attached spa was nice, wonderful relaxing service, but much more expensive than surrounding spas. Not much interms of air conditioning in communal areas, made check in and check out rather warm. Overall the Peace resort is well worth a stay, in relaxing and bohemian Bo Phut.

Very Peacefull, not enough sun beds”
we selected this resort as i'd stayed in bo phut area before and loved the restaurants and quiet village feel. the resort was just what we needed although the weather for end of january was not very sunny. drinks & food were good and well priced. we loved the resort but generally just used it for sleeping and breakfast as there was too many guests there and felt crowded with people who were not too friendly.

Peace ”
Enjoyed our stay at Peace Resort during the peak high season in Koh Samui. The breakfast was nice and served at resort's beach restaurant with variety of western choices and fresh fruits. The resort is well maintained, clean with a lot of plants. The internet is not free and connection is not so good. Don't forget to bring insect repellent if you are allergic to mosquitoes.

Can't say enough good about this place”
we had a 2 week vacation on Ko Samui and this was our favorite resort. Clean rooms.. No real issues with anything that was controllable by the resort. (it rained).. The breakfast buffet was 5+ stars. The exercise facility was good..(clean and cool and great water).. The pool was awesome. The Manager Michael was great..(he reminded my of the French driver in the movie Talladega nights0. Very friendly and helpful.. All staff we great.. walking distance to the fisherman's village. I would highly recommend this place... Only 2 very slightly negative issues were the gecko that was doing his mating calls in the middle of the night in our room (but expected) and the resort's motor scoter rental prices are a little high compared to several local places we found later on our vacation... Great place.. Especially for the price..

An Awesome Beach Bum'ming Experience...”
It was a wonderful experience having to bum ourselves by the ocean and letting the whole day pass by without worries. With the sound of the sea hissing as it hits on the sand, wind blowing with a naughty pattern, teasing us with the help of the hot but addictive sunshine. The friendliness of the staff and them being so helpful triggers me and my partner to plan another trip to Samui and to Peace Resort again maybe next year and it might be an annual affair. The resort really lives up to its name and encapsulates all attributes that says 'Tranquility at its finest'...

Beautiful rooms in a lovely resort.”
We had a lovely stay and the Pace Resort. Not sure about some of the reviews that complain about the staff. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a sea view room and it ranks right up there with the best room I have ever stayed in. Comfortable beds. Beautiful beach. Lots of lounge chairs. Great massages at reasonable prices. The food in the restaurant was mostly great (pizza was not good). Lots of good places to eat just outside the resort. If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location and good service, generally, but expensive!”
The Peace Resort has lovely bungalows located close to the beach. The buffet breakfast (included in my room rate) finished too early, however, for solo travellers (or couples) who may not wish to rush to the restaurant before 10:30 a.m. whilst on holiday or if you end up coming back late from Chaweng. Apparently, one can request a "breakfast box" in lieu of the buffet breakfast if needed but I was not told this until my last day of 6 days there, which was disappointing since there are not many good restaurant options along that stretch of the beach. However, room service (for dinner) was efficient with good food at reasonable prices for a resort (but they do need to make an effort to clear away used dishes more quickly so they don't end up staying out all night on the balcony---not hygienic and it can attract more insects). Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay in this resort though I did find the accommodation quite expensive (even for two if sharing)---there are other decent bungalow options just as near the sea in Samui that cost half as much, one does not need a lot of luxury but just a clean, safe, well-maintained accommodation. The staff were mostly very professional, efficient and courteous, which was much appreciated. It was a splurge but quite comfortable.

our stay at peace resort”
We have just stayed for 13 nights in the peace resort. We booked in a delux terrace room but have to say we did not like it. It is a strange set up of a room and the air-conditioning is only in the bedroom, leaving the rest of the room not air-conditioned. We went to reception next day and asked for a better room. We ended up choosing a sea view bungalow but had to pay £300 extra, but it was a lovely room and worth the money. Staff came everyday and cleaned our room and all staff on the resort are really good. Breakfast is sound. Some down sides were you struggled to get a sunlounger on the beach after 10 am. Drinks are too expensive, you can walk 20 feet on the beach and get same drinks for half the price of the hotel. The beach is a little uncomfortable to walk on bare feet but 10 mins down it you are in fisherman village where there are plenty of places to eat and drink at great prices. Also there are restaurants just on the main road. All in all enjoyed our stay with just a few minnor issues.
