Paradise ! Amazing !!”
We are so glad we chose this resort on Ko Racha island rather than the main resort when you arrive at the pier. Just a short walk from the pier, this resort is set back on its own beach which has little to no day trippers. the only people on this beach are your fellow resort mates. The beach is quiet, peacful, clean, and amazing. The resort staff had the best service out of the many places we traveled in Thailand. Very accomadating. We stayed in the Garden View rooms which are set back away from the beach. Just a quick 2 minute walk. There is another area of the resort with an amazing pool (however we did not even try it out because the beach was too amazing!) Unfortunately the time of our stay there was some remodeling/construction going on near the pool rooms which would have been annoying if we stayed there. The Garden View room had no AC but it was no worry. It was very hot and humid but the breeze through the windows was enough, plus the fan. Room was very large and clean. Shower and bathroom were great/very spacious and modern. There is a little beach bar tucked away at the end of the beach which you must attend and meet the young local Thai owners. Very gracious people:)

Great location with a beautiful beach”
I really love the Rayaburi Resort, which is near beach and have a new pool. The Chino Poolside Room is great New and a big, enough for my 2 kids and us. The restaurant is just on the beach, the breakfast is buffet type and good enough for my family. The food for dinner is good and is not expensive compared with the restaurant in the Racha island. We must come back to the Racha island and stay this resort again and again

Beautiful location, sometimes poor service”
this is rather a new development, it does not look that they use their full potential yet. Beautiful location on the 2nd nicest beach on the island, however not always clean. As many islands in Thailand a lot of garbage reaches the beaches every day. In my opinion the hotel management should look for a better beach cleaning every morning. On the other beach where the luxurious Racha hotel is located, the beach looks much cleaner. The hotel did a good job with a new building housing about 40 rooms around a sleek pool with nice pool furniture. However one morning and evening no hot water in the bathroom. The food in the kitchen was good, albeit not cheap as to be expected on a remote island. We found the quality at lunch better than for dinner. Breakfast was a bit boring, coffee (Cappucino or Latte) not great, much better at the Racha hotel. At the price we paid not overrated. The Racha charges a minimum of 330 USD per room/night. In our opinion stay at this hotel and walk over to the other beach/hotel if you feel like.

Lovely hotel.Close to paradise!”
It's wonderful! White sand beach turqoise waters.There is a lovely bar-restaurant located on the beach where you can enjoy your breakfast/lunch/dinner/drink.Breakfast is not so good but it makes it up when you just sit there in front of the water.The rooms are huge and there is electricity all the time after travellers' complaints.the garden view is a lovely room huge,there is no a/c but you don't really need it! there is a ceiling fan which is more than enough.It is super clean with new furniture.What can I say? The island is fntastic.you can actually walk and explore.There are 3 more hotels.One of them is a small one where you can though have a soda and use free wi-fi.There is the ban raya which is nice and you can have dinner there sometime.And last is the Racha.A fantastic resort located on Patok Bay.This bay is even more amazing than Siam,due to it's location.Crystal clear water! amazing! there are a couple of cute beach bars and there is also the Club Del Mar where for only 500BHT you can use the pool,a sunbed,towel,a refreshing cocktail all day long! it's really worth it!Do that! i think it's great to stay at the Rayaburi since the Racha is really expensive and enjoy both bays and both hotels!Really wonderful friendly staff! i would definitely go back to Rayaburi on Raya!

We had an excellent stay at The Rayaburi Resort on Racha Yai Island. Beautiful resort in natural surroundings. Meals in the beach side restaurant with beautiful water views and magnificent sunsets. The very best employees at this resort and they do it because they want to and that's a plus. Lovely rooms and food selection was grand. Service with smiles poured on. Excellent rates beautiful people beautiful beaches and views. Nothing was ever any trouble. There is not much in the way of shopping but the seclusion is breathtaking. Peace, quiet and tranquil. Would go back tomorrow. Loved it.

very enjoy and nice beach”
I was not impressed only in the beginning when I had booked and called the hotel. The reception could not give me the time for boat transfer in the afternoon. It seems that you should book the boat first then book the hotel. I was forced to take early morning boat at 9 am, with two children. However, the hotel gave us the room once we reached there as it is now low season. They gave us all the comfort which compensated my early complain. The foods and drinks at the Racha Island is very very expensive, I paid THB10,000 for 2 lunches and 2 dinners for 2 adults and 2 children. You should buy some drinkis and snacks from 7-11 from main land to reserve for 1-2 days, if you have small bags. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I shall go their again for snorkling. The beach is very beautiful and nice coral and fishes.

Racha Island Resort is a good choice to spend one or severval nights on Islands. and the food is good, even though a bit expensive, but worth it considered our experience at phuket Town.

Great Resort on beautiful large, quiet beach! ”
rayaburi is off siam beach which is away from the crowded day tourist batok beach. the rooms are gorgeous with wi-fi and a beautiful pool! definitely stay in the lagoon view suites! first floor has a porch, while 2nd floor has balcony. the food is decent with the best view money can buy, but the restaurant is pricey compared to the other restaurants on the island. scuba diving and snorkeling is great too! the staff does a great job to meat your every need. out of all the resorts on raya island, rayaburi is the best overall. reasonably priced, best location, beautiful rooms, good food, privacy, relaxing beach, many activities, and close to everything on the island.

Huge poolside room”
after all the day trippers left for the day it seemed we had the entire resort to ourselves. we had a nice big porch right in front of the pool. racha is a beautiful island but it is very expensive for food and drinks which was expected. the resort staff helped with luggage to and from the pier.

we had a wonderful experience on the island. the beach was fabulous in the morning/noon time (crystal clear water), as well as around mid-night when the moon light came in. the resort is quiet, clean, with a nice swimming pool - can try the poolside rooms if you get a chance. we stayed in the lagoon view room which was also good as a budget choice. highlight in the resort - the beachfront restaurant far exceeded our expectations. world-class food, great service and reasonable price. i will definitely rated as 5 star. plus, the restaurant managing director bao was the most awesome md we have ever met - fun, energetic, super good drinker and has a big heart. his cooking and attitude towards cooking made his lovely restaurant one of a kind.it might sound too good to be true, but try it once and you'll definitely agree

Idyllic and serene!”
We stayed one night at Rayaburi Resort, which is a fairly new hotel on Raya Island. Wonderful amenities and a beautifully modern resort, particularly with a very affordable price tag. The resort includes a restaurant on the beach (fairly private beach) which offers delicious western and Thai cuisine. Customer service was also fabulous at the restaurant. Unfortunately the resort only boasted one (very overpriced) small shop so would be worthwhile to come with food and snacks, otherwise the restaurant prepares all meals large and small!

Close to paradise!!”
We stayed on this wonderful Island for 3 days and it was close to paradise. The whole island is very empty and you barely see other tourists. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are clean and very very big, nice veranda provided as well. Around the few bungalows there are palmtrees and wide green areas. The hotel also offers a nice restaurant at the beach, which serves great food and very friendly staff. The beach looks nice however it seems that all the used water from the hotels is leading into this bay, so the water was a bit "green". But anyway it was a great place to stay and relax, a very different experience from the mass tourism in Phuket.

Great room and services ”
The breakfast buffet was very nice. Speedboat transfer have two sessions at 11 am and 3 pm from Racha island to Chalong pier. Hence suggest to book early to secure seats on the 3 pm session if want to stay longer on the island. One thing bad is the snorkeling location suggested by the staff. No coral reefs at all.

Deteriorating hotel in paradise surroundings”
We went The Rayaburi resort for the beach. We had read reviews on this hotel and on The Racha on an adjacent beach, and it was our understanding that the beach in front of The Racha gets invaded by day trippers. The beach in front of the Racha is nicer, in that it has no corals, but the beach in front of the Rayaburi resort is quiet, and corals or not, just completely stunning. The hotel itself is in decay, and far from 5 star luxury. If you want a 5 star resort go to The Racha. If you want peace and quiet, and a beach to yourself, go the Rayaburi. If you want both, the beaches are 10 mins walking distance apart anyway. The little local restaurant of the Rayaburi was a pleasant discovery as well. Though overpriced (by Phuket standards), we had fresh fish everyday (not in the menu, we agreed a price on the side), prepared according to the manager's recommendation. If only the Rayaburi resort were in a better state, and its guests more polite, this would be a dream 3 days. Next time we will go to The Racha and walk over to the Rayaburi's beach and restaurant.

Fantastic seaview near the beach in the Resort”
The hotel is at the wonderful location on the Racha Island. We spend a lot of time just sitting beside the beach, enjoy the sunshine and wind. You could also walk to the Beach near the other hotel on the island to see the greatest sunset.

When I arrived at hotel, I was told that Chino Poolside Room was unavailable due to rain. And hotel staff very kindly update us to Beach Front Room. The scenery is wonderful! Beach, shallow, lovely and very suitable for relaxing. But on Raya(Racha) Island the shallow is not suitable for snorkeling due to a lot of rocks.

Wonderful, relaxing stay with a magnificent beach ”
The hotel organized the transportation from the previous to the next hotel perfectly, including taxis and speedboat. The staff is well skilled in English and very helpful. We got a nice room in the main building at the pool just few min walk from the beautiful beach. The room was very big but is not well insulated and therefore the AC is not very efficient. However the high season the beach is very relaxing and not crowded. Most of the day trips on the island goes to the next resort and beach and therefore the other place gets the heavy boat traffic from morning to evening. The is a simple restaurant at the beach with a unique view on the bay but it's slightly expensive but just outside the hotel there are few restaurants with Thai food for good prices and nice people. The swimming pool is very nice and the guym does the job. We enjoyed the place and reccommend it further

Best value for money hotel on Racha Yai”
Stayed here for 2 nights when I was at Racha Yai and loved every minute of it. Booked the Lagoon View room and it was rather private so it was great since I was looking for some peaceful time at night. I love the beachside dining of its restaurant and the fantastic service of the staff. I can easily access Patok bay and Siam Bay from here. Oh how I miss this place now. Will stay here again if I visit Racha Yai.
