"My wife and I stayed out at the Racha in September. We originally had booked three nights but due to a last minute bit of rescheduling we were able to obtain an extra night - the best decision we have ever made. What can we say that hasn't already been said about The Racha? While we were greatly surprised to get a room upgrade I am sure that any accommodation at the resort would of been equally as beautiful. Prior to going to The Racha I read many a review on this resort before making any booking. I was somewhat surprised by any sort of comment criticising the resorts 5 Star rating. What were these people looking for - gold plated door knobs? While I could write copious pages on the resort itself, the real indicator of any resorts performance is its staff. I can offer nothing but high praise for every single person that we had any sort of contact with while on the island. To Koy, Joy & Yui who greeted us most warmly every time we met and every other member of the Racha team, you should all be very proud of the quality service that you offer. While we have visted a number of Thailand's beautiful islands & resorts, if life is kind to us we hope to again come back to your beautiful resort and relive the most relaxing holiday experience we have ever had. "We are so glad we chose this resort on Ko Racha island rather than the main resort when you arrive at the pier. Just a short walk from the pier, this resort is set back on its own beach which has little to no day trippers. the only people on this beach are your fellow resort mates. The beach is quiet, peacful, clean, and amazing. The resort staff had the best service out of the many places we traveled in Thailand. Very accomadating. We stayed in the Garden View rooms which are set back away from the beach. Just a quick 2 minute walk. There is another area of the resort with an amazing pool (however we did not even try it out because the beach was too amazing!) Unfortunately the time of our stay there was some remodeling/construction going on near the pool rooms which would have been annoying if we stayed there. The Garden View room had no AC but it was no worry. It was very hot and humid but the breeze through the windows was enough, plus the fan. Room was very large and clean. Shower and bathroom were great/very spacious and modern. There is a little beach bar tucked away at the end of the beach which you must attend and meet the young local Thai owners. Very gracious people:) "

"First to know about koh racha is that there is no ferry to koh racha! On the Internet stays wrong thinks. Contact the hotel a day before you arrive. They can pick you up at the pier. We have payed 500 baht per person. When you wanna go to koh racha on your own the only Chance is to go with a boat of a daily tour and this is really expensive. We payed 1000 baht per Person. You arrive directly on the beach. On the hill there is the hotel. You can reach them only on the beach. There is no way. Its really hard when you have normal luggage. It is 500 meters to walk. The hotel is perfect. We had a nice Bungalow on the first row. Really comfortable. Big enought for 2 people and 2 luggages. They clean the Bungalow every day. Bathroom was also great. The Restaurant was amazing. Really tasty. The breakfast is small but ok. Try the strawberry shake its the best. The Restaurant close between 9 and 10pm. The Island is really quite. To go to another part of the Island is useless. There is nothing than the main beach. The beach is amazing. Clear water and white sand. A few stones are in the water. But it is ok. It is important to know that there are coming many boats with day tourists. Most of them are Chinese. They coming between 9:30 am and 5pm. At that time the beach is really crowded. But when they leaf you feel like on a lonely Island because you have the beach totally for your own. Go there. But 2 nights are enough. "
