My mom and I stayed at the Ramada Phuket Southsea for 3 nights. It was a great value for the money and you couldn't beat the location. We would highly recommend staying in Karon instead of Patong. The Ramada was right across the beach and the pool area and swim up bar was lovely. The hotel is due for some rennovations, but that kind of seemed to be the trend in Phuket in general. We did have issues with our room card working, and kept having to go get staff to let us into our room until they were able to fix it. That was the only annoying thing. The free breakfast buffet was outstanding! We ate at the restaurant once and it was good food and price too. The hotel has a concierge service there to help with airport transportation or day trips. Tik was very helpful with an airport shuttle and booking a day trip through Diamond Sea to the Phi Phi Islands. Would highly recommend that trip as well! The shuttle picks up and drops off at the Ramada.

Peaceful getaway”
We stayed in a deluxe pool view room. The rooms looked and felt new. Breakfast buffet was generous and filling, and the staff members were solicitous to make us feel welcome. We enjoyed the walks by the beach, stores and restaurants nearby. The environment was quiet, so we were able to have nights of peaceful sleep which recharged us for the exciting activities of the following day. It was my first time in Karon Beach. As compared to Patong, I think I like this place better. More priovate, more quiet eventhough lots of happennings around. They have nice beach and hotel is facing the sea. Ramada Phuket Southsea is a very comfortable hotel and publuic transportation is not a problem at all. The room is quite big and they have very comfortable bed. The staffs are very nice but it could be better should they speak better English.

The stay was wonderful ! We wanted a quiet location unlike Patong therefore Ramada Southsea was chosen as it was away from the night sense yet accessible to the "small town". Location of the hotel is good as its facing directly the beach where the water is really clean and good to swim in or having your morning run by. The hotel is also in the vicinity of motorcycle rental and the so called "town". There is a security guard at the hotel 24/7 therefore I felt safe parking my rented motorcycle in the park area. The guards are very attentive to guests i.e assist in stopping vehicle whenever guests exit the hotel by vehicle or intend to cross the road. Morning breakfast provided by the hotel is quite a spread but of mediocre standard. Rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained - however only 1 power plug.

Couldnt imagine anything better!”
Absolutely loved every minute of it. I didn't think 20 hours in Phuket would be long enough to relax before we headed off for Beijing and then on a trekking holiday, but it was! From the moment you enter the resort, and receive an ice-cold glass of apple juice and a cool refreshing towel, to getting to your room and discovering that it is clean, cool, spacious, with everything you could think of (as mentioned before, the minibar, robes, sandals, plus toiletries, fluffy towels, a great view, and even frangipani flowers on the bed and in the bathroom). The pool is the perfect temperature, warm enough to enter without doing the whole "do I just jump in and brave it or do I inch in and get used to it" dilemma, but cool enough that you don't feel cold when you get out or sit at the swim up bar. The cocktail menu is long enough to find something you like but not so long that you spend hours deliberating - although the bartender was happy to make up any cocktail we could think of. There's a gym on the rooftop, fairly small but with enough machines to get a workout if you are a gym junkie, although I'd recommend going across to the beach and enjoying the outdoors. Theres also a shop with clothes, and a place to book tours. The day spa was heaven, and although a bit more expensive than other places in old phuket street, the experience was fantastic, with a lovely setting and calm music and masseuses which you don't get down the street. The sunset view from the rooftop garden is well worth it, and the daybeds up on the roof were a great way to chill out and read a book for a while, as was the courtyard in the centre (with a small foreign book exchange too). The restaurant had plenty of seats and a happy hour that lasted three hours (don't get that in Australia!) but we didn't eat there - we ended up wandering just down the street to eat at one of the many smaller restaurants down the road - the view of the beach from the hotel restaurant was better.

Good location and value for money”
We enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Ramada Southsea Karon. The rooms are spacious and were well cleaned. The restaurant for breakfast was nice but the selection was a little small. The staff were a little confused about our room on check in and being late it took a while for them to figure it out, the power also fused in the middle of the night and we had to get someone to fix it, they did quite quickly. Overall, great location, comfortable and good value for money.

South Sea Karon Phuket”
This is a nice resort facing the Karon beach. A short walking distance to the beach gives much credit to the hotel. The hotel is clean, and staffs are polite. The restaurant serves very nice thai and international food. A must stay for Karon beach tourists! We'll definitely go back to South Sea Karon for our next trip to Phuket.

Enjoyable and relaxing”
we spent 5 nights here with our 2 children and came away feeling so relaxed and impressed with Ramada South Sea. Great staff from the front counter to the house keeping and maintenance crew - all were helpful and always had a big smile. We had some minor technical issues with our room when we first arrived that were promptly fixed. Pool was very nice and a lot of time spent there. Mini bar was reasonably priced. The only negative I would say is there were quite a few mosquitoes in the gardens. I highly recommend this hotel

Great stay”
We were welcomed by staff with a refreshing glass of apple juice before our check in time. There was no issue with us arriving early, we checked in and were escorted to our room where we were shown full use of the amenities. We were provided with flip flops, robe, beach bag and beach towels. The pool and jacuzzi were perfect! The beach is less than 100 yards across the road and the security man halted the traffic to allow us cross over to the beach. Location wise, it's 30 mins from the airport. It is situated in a quieter part of Phuket but there are some fabulous restaurants within a 5 min walk and there are also plenty of nearby pubs. Overall no complaints, we only stayed one night but would have easily stayed longer if we could!

The Karon beach just lies in front of the hotel. The Karon main Street and a market is within 5 minutes distance away on foot. You can hardly find a hotel with all these advantages in this price. Yet there is still things needed to be improven. The bathtub leaked and flooded we stayed

Best location Karon Beach”
Stayed almost a fortnight in a Deluxe Club Room and enjoyed every minute of it. Direct pool access (which was great for our daughter), a beautiful room and working wifi included. The staff were really good always eager to please the guests. A few minor disappointments were that the cleaning could be at bit better and we would have liked a better variety of the breakfast buffet, it altered every two days. All and all it is a great hotel with a good location on Karon Beach, should I return to Karon this hotel would be my choice.

Beautifull location and very good service”
Our stay was so nice, rooms were just right for all of us, the staff were very fast and freindly. the swiming pool was must the time occupied by us, the time went it was less gust, their food were tasty and same cost as other near by resturants, the breakfast was ok, just honey bee's were the only one who bothered us because of the Jam and honey jar's were opened. when I visit Phuket again, this hotel will be the firts to take.

Fantastic location across the road from the cleanest beach we found in Phuket. rooms were good, beds very comfortable. A seperate shower would be preferred to the shower over the bath set up. Pay TV was not available this was a supprise.Rooms cleaned and maintained very well, staff do a wonderful job.Hotel restaurant catered with excellent breakfast fare Front of house staff always exceedingly helpful and charming. would recomend to friends

The hotel offers a great location at karon beach, just cross one street and you can access to the lovely beach. Although the decoration is not luxurious, the facility in the room is clean and at good conditions. Staff is nice. Breakfast is quite good.

Smily staff and good location!!!”
Location is very nice just infront of hotel. Most the staffs are smily and kind. Welcome tea,rm service and B/F are also good. Minibar price is not so expensive. I really liked the beach bag and slipper for the outside. Room and lobby are little bit far away~ What I didnt like is...DND sign is DND,nobody can enter but they cleaned my room. I dont mind that much but I dont feel good neither. And they didnt fabreeze the pillows....too smelly...Only 1 Pillow was ok among total 7 pillows include 3 sofa cusions. And No Comb is provided in the Room. But I really enjoyed staying there and I got good memory there. Nice hotel.Affordable Price!

Best Location, Right in the Heart of Karon Beach”
we chose to stay at the ramada after a few days on karon beach because it was so central to everything. beach across the road and right next to the movenpick which has a great bar and restaurant. the room was nice, however the bed was hard. breakfast was ok, nice view from the restaurant. would stay there again due to it's great location!

Lovely hotel at the beach front with a great atmos”
Dun know what you fa-rangs here expect but i had a lovely experience at this hotel. Service was good too. Only once i had an issue was when i had to ask for the outdoor pool jacuzzi to be switch on 3x, seems there was a maintenance issue and none of the 3 different staffs i spoke to got back to me. But other then that, had no problems with the service issue. Room service was also prompt to make up and tidy the room and a nice clean room was always ready when i'm back from the pool/beach in the morning. Also requested some items from house keeping which came in 5mins. Can't say much for the food cos never tried the restaurant. Overall its a nice hotel to get away from the madding bustling crowd, only thing is once night falls it gets a little boring cos Karon is really more geared towards a family beach and you not going to find much action in the night if you're into that.

Convinient place to stay”
We had a wonderful time enjoying Phuket and having this hotel as our starting point to be picked up by our tour guide. We could also enjoy the Karon beach and the shopping area just within walking distance. We surely would recommend this hotel for family if you decided to stay near Karon Beach.
