Still under construction at the upper floors so you can expect some drilling and banging noises. But the price is good. Breakfast is spartan as occupancy is low. Probably it’s the best hotel room I ever stayed in Johor maybe because it’s new. Most other hotels I have stayed in Malaysia tend to get very run down after a short while due to lack of maintenance so this new hotel is a welcome relieve, at least for now. Overall it’s a nice hotel with a grand reception area fitted with marble tiles. The problem is the same type of slippery tiles are used in the bathroom so be careful when the floor is wet. It’s super slippery.

Last minute, no-fuss booking at a bargain price, over a long holiday weekend, was made possible with Agoda.com. Other sites offered prices 50% more than what Agoda.com offered. Very attentive and helpful staff during midnight check-in. Clean room and facilities. Hot water shower facility and a bathtub. Basic toiletries with 2 freshly laundered bath towels, 2 hand towels and floor towel mats were provided. Double bed not available for non-smoking room. However two large single beds, each able to accommodate 2 average size adults, was more than adequate & comfortable. This hotel has seen much better days as a premier hotel in Johor Bahru. Late check-out at 2pm. was offered upon request. If you are driving, covered FREE parking is available for hotel guests. At a bargain offer of RM153 per night, I recommend The Puteri Pacific Hotel in Johor Bahru. It may have seen glorious days in the past but its 5 star charm, hospitality and comfort is evident & welcomes the weary traveller.

Overall its an awesome stay given the exchange from sgd to msia. i like the location of the hotel with a short walk to KSL and plaza pelangi. Also a lot of food stall around. and money exchange is available. This will be great for travellers who is not familiar with johor. Hotel room is comfy, spacious and clean. i often see housekeeping along the corridor even though i nv req for housekeeping. Security can be seen patrolling during late night. i would definitely recommend purchasing their room with breakfast as the local cuisine was served and quite a few selection. But for the lunch buffet .. i feel that its somehow similar to breakfast except for a few more dessert choice. I seriously hope that the WIFI can be better given that its a 5 star hotel. As i can't load a google pg properly. OMG! Tried to seek help but still the same. water drainage in the bathtub is slow and water level is at my feet after bathing... SAD~ The hotel staff is helpful and polite but without personalised interaction and greeting.

Simply one of the best I've experienced around the world, and definitely the best, the number 1 choice if you are looking to stay in Johor Bahru. Excellent location, just beside KSL shopping, of course you have ksl resort as an option which is located above the shopping mall, but the staff service is nothing compared to the ones at Holiday villa. The cleanliness, the room, the comfy bed, the infinity pool (as raved by many), and above all, the staff service was simply awesome. You can never find a hotel better than this in Johor Bahru, if not the whole of Malaysia, and beats alot of hotel hands down world wide. At an affordable rate of average $85 per night, you can have all the best sleep of your night. 5 star rating and recommend to all to stay here.

New York hotel in Johor Bahru is conveniently located close to Singapore border. This makes the hotel a great hotel for business travelers or family going on vacation to Singapore but would prefer to stay in Malaysia. The rooms have recently been refurbished and its more modern and a more spacious feel. Amenities are plenty which includes an indoor swimming pool, massage center, hair salon and sundry shop which also has currency exchange if you need. Rooms are clean and staff are friendly and for those who drive, the hotel offers plenty of parking.

This is my 4th time staying at this hotel. Overtime when visit to Legoland, if we decided to stay in JB for 1 or 2 nights, we always choose to book at this hotel. This time we try the suite, its cost slightly more but it's definitely worth booking. The room is much bigger and we can get some good rest after a long day shopping in Johor. Opposite of this hotel, there is a big shopping mall, with many food selections, mega supermarket, as well as pharmacies. If you are not a fan for shopping mall, there are many other medium size shops selling local food, some of them are popular and can find their review on forum. If it's later in the evening, you can go down for supper and have a nice foot massage, reasonable prices and clean.

Hotel is expensive relative to the other hotels in Johor but you get what you pay for. The welcome cookie was fantastic. Quite easily the best hotel stay we have ever had in Johor. Conveniently located near to the check point. One way street in front of the hotel does make it troublesome for taxis or uber as they have to make a big round to turn back to hotel. That is however a very minor issue and does not bother or affect our stay in anyway.

Stayed for a night in their one bedroom, it was beyond my expectation and far best stay so far in Johor Bahru. Apartment is newly opened. The parking was quite safe and I can assure that - especially for Singaporeans who have second thoughts on parking their motorbikes in Johor Bahru. The security guards were very attentive, seen them doing round checks in the premises. The check in was swift and the rooms are really clean and comfortable. Check in time was at 3pm but we checked in way earlier around 2pm. Was issued a room key however it was not really ready when we were outside our room. Waited for 10 minutes to be in the room but it is fine for me. Location is good for solo travellers too as the hotel was just a walking distance to Komtar JBCC and City Square. There’s 7-11 convenient store just right at the hotel lobby in case you need to get something urgently. Now, the cons about the apartment was the parking you have to pay on your own. (It comes with a price I guess) And the major turn off - their housekeeper was very rude. Knocked the door several times at 10:45AM to tell us to check out when we clearly knew the check out time was 12PM. Leave that alone, the housekeeper repeatedly knocked the door again at 12PM SHARP. How intense was that. I dont remember requesting the front desk to get someone for my wake up call. She was also rude when we asked the other housekeeper to confirm the check out time. She gave us her unpleasant death stare and walked away when the other housekeeper was apologizing on her behalf. Very rude and unprofessional. I hope the management can look into this matter. Other than that, theres nothing much to point out. Will still give the 5 star rating!

My friend and I were cycling in Johor and needed a place to sleep around Desaru, we found a promotion at Desaru Tunamaya which seemed decently priced (Rm.67++) and the reviews were good so we decided to stay there. Upon our arrival, first pleasant surprise: the place is extremely easy to find. Then during check-in and without asking for anything: we got upgraded! Room was on ground floor with direct access to the pool area, and had two beds (1 king size and 1 single). The room was very clean and well furnished, quiet and comfortable so we had a great night sleep. The pool is okay (a bit small and super crowded with children) but the beach is just right there and they have someone to clean it every morning. The breakfast buffet was good and overall the staff were very nice and professional. I think the thing we enjoyed the most was the barbecue area near the beach where you get a huge plate of BBQed meats for Rm.40 and you can order drinks, beers etc. I would definitely recommend staying there, the other resorts look just as good but I can only talk about what I know: Desaru Tunamaya Beach & Spa Resort is a nice resort, I definitely will come back!

I've stayed in almost all better hotels in Johor Bahru, Grand Blue Wave is probably the best or second best (Mutiara is also in the game). Don't expect the same level as the big ones in KL (or in Singapore) but amongst the Johor hotels it gives you the best price/value ratio. Mutiara is somewhat more expensive but their rooms are refurnished recently. So you can decide for yourself, Grand Blue Wave has really nice and big rooms but they are a little oldish. They are clean though, everything works and well maintained, the service is proper and the breakfast is also quite nice and slightly different every day.

The unit was aptly furnished. Iron, hairdryer, towels, soap and shampoo were provided. Easily accessible by car but not on foot, but with Grab around this is really not a problem. It is 15 min walk and 5 min drive from KSL and Taman Sentosa. Around 8-10 Ringgit Grab to the checkpoint. We took a walk from Taman Sentosa with our stomachs full after lunch. There are enough power points around but they are placed quite low. To be fully prepared you might want to bring an extension, your own soap and extra cloth hangers. There were not many people and the place was quiet. You can spend an hour or two under the sun at the swimming pool with a wide and far view of Johor. Not available at this price anywhere else. Security is very tight with access to floors only gained through cards given to guests. When we were there the sauna was not opened, I guess if the place were more popular there might be more attention given to it. The gym is above the infinity pool and shares the same view.

Actually I booked the wrong hotel. Staff was kind to allow cancellation for last day. Checkin definitely slow as everyone has to pay and ask questions even though there are 5 staff. However staff always smiling, service is good. The room looks abit older/worn than Somerset Puteri Habour, the floor also not as clean. The cups were so stained and looks unusable. I have OCD hence my expectations are higher. Rest of the amenities are standard. Overall 7.5/10 The view was awesome if u like Legoland. Its nearby They also have shuttle service to Puteri harbour. I have been to this area for past 3 yrs. Used to have Legoland membership, hence I am familiar. Would still prefer to stay puteri harbour area as there are more activities. Many buses ply within these two locations or grab for only 7rm. Super safe area as Iskandar falls under Sultan of Johor. Service is also top notch in this area. Main grouse -Pool was small and dirty, there were at least 20 people and wearing clothes in the pool.

The check in and check out was fast. I booked junior suite and I was so surprised to see it. It's so spacious. There's a sofa bed in the living area so it's so comfortable for the four of us. My kids slept on the sofa bed.The room and toilet were clean. There's also a mini kitchenette in the living area so it's so convenient for us. The hotel also provided tooth brush which I seldom get in other hotels. My kids really enjoy themselves especially with the pools. Since the pool is under the building so they could swim the whole day without feeling hot. The food in the hotel also was not bad. During our stay, we just ate at the hotel. For room service, it took about half an hour for the food to be ready since we ordered pizza. The price of the food was quite reasonable. I did enjoy the buffet breakfast with varieties of food. The scenery around the hotel was amazing and I felt like it's not in Johor Bahru. This hotel is a good choice for those who want to spend a night or two for relaxing

Its the best hotel in Johor. you can find the location is very strategic. for those who wish to enter Singapore without living there, you can check in at this hotel. it is near to the Imigration / Singapore-malaysia bridge if you wish to drive / using public transport. at noght, you can find rows of bar and night clubs around the hotel. the beverages are cheap as it is located at the free duty zon. during day time you can go shopping for free duty items at the mall just beside the hote. i love this hotel

Great place to stay. New hotel. Good breakfast spread. Clean rooms. Spacious rooms, fully carpeted. The family room had a lot of space for the kids to play around. KFC is walking distance away. We stayed here for our legoland trip. Legoland is about 15mins drive away. The room service menu was actually quite good. We ordered room service every night instead of going out because it was more comfortable since there was a small kitchenette to enjoy our meals and the prices were about the same as the restaurants nearby. We had a good view of Johor from our room too. The only negative point i would like to stress here is that, this hotel has a great pool but does not have a single place to hang wet clothes in the bath room. We only had the option to hang our towels on the shower glass door and stack our swimsuits on the sink. We hope the hotel management could just add some towel racks on their walls and V8 Hotel would be a 10/10 in my books!

pro: 1. we book a premium suite for 3days and 2 night. and we get the exactly room from the photo in agoda. it was huge like u can fit 10 people in it. got kitchen cabinet/pantry where u can put lots of food supply and im satisfied enough. excellent! 2. i love the breakfast! vast and variety! also big applause for that. 3. clean room for sure. room on high floor can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and i think i can see singapore from my suite. 4. near with the legoland. it takes only few minutes to get there by car. i think it just 1-2km from the hotel. cont: 1. it was too far from the city of johor bharu. very2 far. it could be the best stay for family if u just want to go to legoland itself.

i was taken aback when i first enter the hotel lobby as it brings one back to the grandness of european style 5 star hotel with high ceiling, lighting and the service at check in is professional and speedy. the room i am staying is renovated to 5 star standard and the view that i was allocated was mountain view and it is scenic from 9th. floor. there is ample parking and it is within a guarded vicinity of the hotel. supermarket and shopping center is allocated within walking distance from the hotel.

That was my fourth trip to Lotus Desaru over 3 year period (i.e. since its opening). Good place for family with young children especially those from vicinity area (Johor) who cannot afford travelling long distance due to short holiday. Since no water theme park in Johor area yet, the hotel mini water park and swimming pools become great attraction to the children in this southern region. The beach very clean and well maintained. The dance routine lead by hotel staff during that night was exciting. Now, my children know how to dance 'a go go' style. The room interior was excellent. All electrical appliances worked well. The toilets were very clean. Continue keep up the good maintainance. The tram service travelling around hotel area is a good attraction. My kids enjoyed the ride. The breakfast buffet is average. May be the rooms were fully booked that day, so a lot of people. The food finished really fast. Have to wait some time for food replacements. Generally, our stay there was a good memory for my kids. Pros :- new hotel , good staffs, clean room, isolated view and you can have a stunning view of highways from your window, fridge and hair dryer inside the room, common ironing facility in the corridor, 7-11 and provisional stores are nearby and a night restaurant too. Cons :- Toilet in my room was not cleaned well, nearby landmarks are quiet far(perhaps grab can mitigate this ), breakfast menu is limited.

Hotel is located beside the highway. So if going from Tuas checkpoint, its about 15 minutes drive. Its one exit before Bukit Indah's exit at the Nusa Jaya Medical Centre exit. This hotel, you need to have a car because there is no public transport in any way unless you call for uber cab. Overall our family is very satisfied. The room size is very big and for S$68 per double room, its really value for money and rather quiet. The TV connection and wifi is less than desired though. Hot water pressure and consistency can be improved. Ask for a room facing the inside instead of facing the highway, it will be quieter. The hotel is very new so everything is new and clean. We will go back there if the price don't increase too much over time and when popularity picks up. Which I'm sure it will because there is really nothing much to dislike about this place. We are travelers who are used to hotels such as Hilton's doubletree and the likes, so its surpass our expectations for the price we paid because we were expecting some cheap and dingy hotel instead since we only intended to stay for a night and didn't want to rush back to Singapore or to those 5 star hotels around JB central. Too troublesome. And its only half the price of a 5 star hotel. The security guards there was also vigilant because when we came back from our dinner and went to basement for parking, he actually followed us down to make sure we were really guest and not some people up to no good. Kudos to that. At least I feel safer to park my car there for the night. Anyway I would recommend this hotel to people who wants to stay near Bukit Indah. Its like 5 minutes drive away only. Its clean, its posh, and its convenient.. if you have a car.

I stayed in a group of 4 all in one room for 3days 2nights. The room is quite big & comfortable enough for us. It comes with 1 king size bed & 1 single bed, so we add in one extra bed. Which the downside is the extra bed are really really thin. We request an additional bed to put on top of it but they said it was unavailable but they gave us an additional comforter. The bathroom are quite large with a big mirror inside & hot shower. The staff are really attentive at all our request. Gave us iron & the board within 5 minutes after we hang up the phone. They cleaned the room & made our bed everyday & replace the towel, amenities, shower supply & the trash bag. Location wise, the hotel are easy to find. It located on the main road. Cafe wasn't available as they still under some renovation but there are some mini stall around the area. You can find some restaurants in Tesco which only 10 minutes drive from the hotel. It takes around 30/40 minutes drive from the hotel to Danga Bay, Johor Bharu town, Stulang Laut & The Zon, but it only takes about 15 minutes drive to Johor Premium Outlet (JPO) which all are the place you should visit when in Johor. We didn't go to the Legoland cause we are not interested into & the only place we were missing out are the Puteri Harbour. We were out the whole day since 10am on Saturday & really exhausted when we come back to our hotel at 1am. Overall, the Creator Hotel are a really nice hotel & budget friendly. Suitable for families, friends, couples or even single. We enjoyed our stay.

I read the reviews here and wasn't expecting too of my stay. To my surprise, my experience was positive and I came back with beautiful memories. They have a gorgeous swimming pool with surrounding beach chairs, a gym and a massage spa. I had a swim at midnight because the lighting was so inviting, and the bar was playing really nice songs. Enlightens my mood. The activities available are Snorkelling (RM70) in Pulau Kukus, Diving, Kayaking (Free), cycling (Free) and Volleyball. This is enough to maintain the serenity of the resort; anymore such as jetski will spoil the peace. For those who are into water sports, this is not the place to go. Like in gorgeous beach pictures, they had laid beach chairs along the beach. Also there are plenty of benches and modern bed-cushions around the pool. Didn't spot a hammock though. The Garden View I stayed in was F10 - which was the row behind Beach view rooms. It was a short walk to the main lobby and beach. High bed (I like!), big bathroom, and cosy. Due to Water Shortage to the Island, the Jacuzzi wasnt in operation. It is not spoilt, just closed to conserve water supply. Oh God they sure do make good Lunch and Dinner. Menu was a mix of local and Western. Prices are approx RM20-RM40 for a plate depending on what you eat. They also have a bar by the swimming pool - I love it! Sari Pacifica boasts the best staff service EVER! Friendly & amazingly polite. Expect regular "Hi, Maam!" "Are you enjoying yourself Maam?" and alot of smiley faces. A staff even woke me up at 9am as he was worried that I might have overslept and miss my breakfast! They helped me with my taxi booking too. Best staff service so far in any Malaysian hotel/resort. Bad reception and Wifi; close to non-existent. I'm not sure if it’s the resort or Sibu Island problem. If the wifi was strong, I could have posted pictures of my great stay to Facebook. I will come here again, with my friends and family.
