thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the mercure picton. good standard of accommodation with good facilities, as per most mercure hotels. we enjoyed a room with a balcony and view of the harbour area, definitely worth the few dollars extra here. just a few minutes to walk to shops and a good variety of eating places, as well as the wharf and companies for bookings for sights...

This resort is in a beautiful location, the rooms are well spaced out and have nice views of the bay. There is a pool and a spa. The restaurant has amazing views and very good food. The staff here were very helpful. There is an excellent flat spot in front of the beach with grass, games and loungers. Maybe a tad overpriced, but it is an amazing resort.

We loved our stay at Chateau Marlborough. I'd booked 3 rooms for 6 adults three months prior to arrival and was a bit surprised when we arrived with the confirmation paperwork in hand to find that they had mis-scheduled us for the next night. The woman at the desk was a bit flustered by it all - understandably - but was able to find us rooms that, lucky for us, exceede...

The host is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is based in a stunning location (quite tricky to get to though). We absolutely recommend this beautiful place to others, especially couples or families. The simple shop has the basics such as fresh bread, butter, spreads, milk, and basic groceries but I recommend you bring some extra food with you to cook a nice meal. Th...

Lovingly renovated convent in the middle of a vineyard, in the middle of the Marlborough wine region (think Napa Valley with 1/20th the tourists). Rooms/facilities/grounds are first-class, in tip-top condition. Staff are excellent. Food is top notch. Hard to find fault in anything. However, nearby vineyard had 3 air canons firing every ~15 minutes to scare birds ...

We had a wonderful stay at the Portage Hotel. We were walking the Queen Charlotte track and the hotel was a close walk from the track. The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautiful and clean with a great view overlooking the bay. We had dinner there and that was excellent and very good value. I highly recommend this hotel!

First time stayers, and we were thoroughly delighted with the staff and accommodation at Vintners Retreat. The villa was spotlessly clean, warm and cozy, well furnished with modern amenities.... like a home away from home. We loved the place and the warm hospitality of management staff. We highly recommend Vintners Retreat for a weekend getaway, or an extended vacatio...

stay in a little villa, each one has three bedrooms, ita own living room and kitchen.. and the communal area has a hot tub, tv room and beautiful garden. its kitch and cool and has an absolutely beautiful sense of home about it. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thoughtful extras throughout the room. We only anticipated 1 night here in Picton but enjoy it so much we made it a 4 night visit, staying here at Beachcomber all 4 evenings. Booking on Agoda.com saved us $$ rather than booking directly through hotel

The Gables is very centrally located, close to the waters and the main shopping district, with comfortable and homey space (we stayed at the cottages). The host, Warren is fantastic, helpful and very kind. They have also just started a wonderful hop on hop off bus tour among the marlborough vineyards which is the best way to visit the NZ wineries. Finally, they surpris...

Stayed one night at Lugano after a wine tour in Blenheim. Hosts were wonderful and such lovely people. Room was perfect, had all the amenities including a kettle, fridge and even a microwave if needed - like a mini kitchen. Great night sleep and will stay again if visit Blenheim.

Sequoia lodge backpacker is literally the best hostel I've visited traveling though new Zeland. Overall stay at top10 was 5 in scale of 10. Location, Cleanliness and facilities were good. Kitchen wasn't having any utensils like plates, glass, no kitchen paper roll. Staff wasn't polite and stubborn in talking. It had parking issues ie no specific marking for private car and caravans at all times and what if someone else would park at your place. Very good hotel centrally located for exploring the area, large spacious modern room with air-conditioning (quite rare in New Zealand)great kitchen amenities for self catering. It has a very good pub restaurant attached serving very good affordable food, staff very friendly. Ideal location for visiting the vineyards in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at Quality Hotel Marlborough. The location is near town centre and parks. It was easy for us to cycle around. However, do note that there is no fridge in the room so don't buy back white wine/beer or ham/milk thinking that you can have it the next day. Everything else was good. The staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Large room, wonderful outside area, all the things you could need in the room. Great location! A lovely walk into the town, the beautiful park just around the corner. Di is a wonderful host. We forgot something in the room and Di was so kind to courier it to us at our next location. She went out of her way to to help us. So with a great room, location and staff we hi...

Bit tricky to find even with a satnav and first impression was a motel in an industrial, area. However, the view from the room was as tranquil as the photos suggest as was our stay. The bar next door is owned by the same people and will do breakfast on request. Quiet at night. Two minute walk to the centre of Blenheim and the iSite is just as close.

Janet collected us from the ferry and showed us to our rooms which were lovely and super comfy. Home made cake and shortbread awaited us with tea/coffee making facilities. Lots of info given about where to go, activities and best places to eat in Picton which was handy. Invited up stairs for a glass of beautiful local wine before we headed off for tea. Everything is in...

From arrival to departure they pampered and spoiled us! Upon arrival they were waiting for us, immediately grabbed our luggage and took us to our room where there was a dessert tray and wine waiting for us. The rooms are perfect and you feel very decadent in them. We ate at the restaurant twice - both times amazing! And Julianna, the owner/chef, is a treat to talk ...

Well it's not a hotel thou. It's a Holiday Park (I dont know if this term of Holiday Park is familiar, but I use it all the time to describe this such accomodation). I got the lodge (double bunk bed). The bathroom was shared with $1 hot water for 5 minutes ($1 coin only) but it was really clean and bright. They also have laundry room, full function kitchen, and very sp...
1- facilities are really dirty and are not maintained. The kitchen is filthy and the cabinets were broken. They don’t clean during the day only in the morning so the flies and birds are on the benches and the tables were you eat and cook. 2- The beds are really uncomfortable and the beds linen are old and smells really bad. The pillow they gave me was 2cm thick. 3- th...

Very good. Though we arrived past 10pm due to a delay by the ferry service, the host, Barbara was waiting patiently for our arrival and even upgraded us to a unit by itself to save us the trouble of moving around. So we were able to settle and rest for the night. Host also provided good tips on the attractions location which made our drive even more convenient. Very th...

The owners only took over the motel in Sep 17 so I think the rooms have just been recently renovated. I love the small touches they have put into the decor of the room. While the room we booked was small, it was very cosy and comfortable. Location is very good as well with many food places and shops on the same street. Though, note that while there is a microwave and u...

My ten year old daughter and I loved our stay so much we can't wait to return. I've stayed in so many places all over the world and this is one of my favourites. I rate it 10/10. Beautiful room and view, spotlessly clean, extremely helpful and kind owner, everything about our stay was perfect. Thanks a million :-)

Breakfast is included in the price although the Agoda booking said it is not. Simple continental fare but more than sufficient. Bed was comfortable but room was rather small though it was tastefully decorated. The wifi service was fast and stable. Overall, it was still an enjoyable experience staying two nights at this place. Hotel is located quite close to the Interis...

The owners are hardworking conscientious people and make sure that the accommodation is spotless and in the best condition possible. That being said the building is approaching 100 years old and in need of some serious upgrades. The floor joists in the ceiling above me creaked all night due to any movement of the hotel guest above me. We used this motel as we were taking the mailboat tour the next day. It was ideal as it is near the marina & also close to the town. Fanastic, 5 star service, Shona & Peter very friendly & helpful going that extra bit to make your stay enjoyable. Room & facilities could not fault, location great. Allocated onsite parking a great idea. We will be staying here again on our next trip to Blenheim.

We stayed over Sennen House for Xmas and had a great time. We were greeted by lovely couple and head for Xmas diner. Bed was very comfortable and room was very nice. You can have your breakfast in your room in the morning which was very nice. Would highly recommend the place.

Super area for a few days of routine life. Cons: No vodafone network and no nearby shop though. Highly recommend booking a car or any suitable transportation means in advance. Olde Mill House is such a welcoming place and you're made to feel right at home. The room was clean and spacious and included lovely little touches like chocolates for guests. The breakfast was varied and great quality, especially the homemade jams and preserves. It's a great base for exploring Marlborough.

We arrived late on the ferry from Wellington. The apartment was further from the town than I had expected but the apartment was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. We booked a 2 bed apartment but were given a 3 bedroom apartment. 1 double, 1 twin and a room with bunk beds. The lack of a second double room was a little disappointing.

This apartment is by far the best stay we had during our time in NZ. The view is exceptional, location is conveniently near restaurants and facilities. Also there are 2 toilets for 4 of us which is great. The only thing to note is the smoke detector alarm that will trigger during cooking, so take note. Otherwise this is the best apartment we have stayed so far!
