Queensland hotels & accommodations

My partner and I booked a 1 bedroom apartment with ocean view for our 2 year anniversary and it was the best decision we've ever made. The view from our room on the 35th floor was just spectacular but it gets better, we watched the sunset from the hotel rooftop and it was one of the prettiest views we've ever seen. Room was clean, amenities were outstanding. The hotel ...

Pros- the hotel is beautiful, staff very professional, breakfast I paid extra-completely worth it every morning (most selections ever had for breakfast buffet, delicious), best room ever booked-bathroom very spacious, new/modern. Giant standing shower, large mirror, large tub. The room-spacious and modern-had very large windows that took up whole wall, great view. The...

Best hotel ever in Gold coast! If you are looking for a place to stay in to make your trip memorable, look no further! I will definitely be back here if I go back to Gold coast! The famous surfer's Paradise beach is just at the doorstep, Beautiful view from our balcony. We love this place so much we are considering buying an apartment here! Shopping ( that closes late...

One of the best hotels I've been to so far. I felt like I've underpaid for the service I received. The staff was friendly and even helped me to find the way to some of the locations that I wanted to visit. The hotel is also very close to the beach and Surfers Paradise. Getting to Warner Bros Movie World albeit far but no hassle at all even with public transport. The ro...

Fantastic. We choose facing the beach. It was marvelous. Stayed at 38 floor very windy during day & night with spectacular scenery. With 3 bedrooms, 3 balcony it was really spacious. The kitchen and table top was beautiful equipped with dining utensils. They provide washing machine with dryer (100% dried) make our day feel at home. Supermarket, halal kebab & grill chic...

Stayed at the Woodroffe as it was local to an event we were attending. Great location, close to Australia Fair shopping centre, Southport RSL and Queensland light rail which takes you directly into Surfers. Modern room with comfy bed and large bathroom

The hotel is located right at the heart of Surfers Paradise, so you will find it very easy and convenient to walk around the area. There are a lot of restaurants, cafes, shops, supermarkets, pharmacies within the area. The G:link tram station is just 4 minutes walk from the hotel, and the beach is just 7 minutes walk. The view from my room overlooked the ocean, and it...

I went for a week long stay for the great barrier reef and could not be happier with the experience. Easily the best value for the price in a great location, just outside of the noise of the central areas but a 5 minute walk and you;re in the thick of things. The staff were fantastic at setting up my reef dives and the rooms were spacious, clean and had everything I co...

I have stayed in this hotel multiple times. The room I’ve got recently is the best so far. I’ve got a very nice view. But, I still have issue when they charge me A$200 when I checked out. Even they reversed it, due to different conversion rate, I ended up being charged with the difference. It’s not huge money but it is still a waste of money on my part. I hope t...

I definitely recommend Palm Royale Cairns Resort! They have the best customer service I've experienced (and I've travelled a bit)! Prior to the trip, a family member became quite seriously ill and as a result, I had to forfeit my flight and only enjoyed 2 out of the 4 day's planned. However, much to my surprise, when I rang to ensure my final 2 night's accom. were ...

The hotel is in a fantastic location, 2 minutes from the tram and 2 minutes from the beach. The rooms are however old and dated, even in the King ocean rooms you have the old style shower in the bath... The doors are getting tired and scraped so need to be fixed. The car park is a walk away up several flights of stairs as there is no lift and the escalators are complet...

We rediscovered Brisbane, walking the residential streets of Fortitude Valley and New Farm, a great show at The Triffid, fun start to evening at Mrs Browns bar, Sunday coffee and breakfast at The Dalfour, then a fun walk along the river bank with live bands, great bars finishing up at Madame Wu for a stunning Sunday lunch. The best 24 hours fun I have had for ages - ...

Admittedly I got a cheap rate through an online hotel booking company, however was only informed of inoperable swimming pool by notice in room. The deal included free parking which was a good bonus. The A/C was terribly noisy on level 4 which resulted in a very restless nights sleep. Disappointing. The hotel and room itself is very upmarket and furnished with the lates...

The staffs at Jack & Newell Luxury Apartments are the BEST, i have been emailing them one month prior my booking's date to confirm on making reservations for the activities in Cairns. He has been super helpful and patience with all my questions and endless changes to the dates and activities. Since my flight arrived mid day on the first day, most activities would not b...

Overall it was a great place to stay the only problem I had there was that is was very busy with people coming and going at all hours and there should be a sign stating please consider other guests as they weren't quiet and yelled out in different languages at each other across the court yard or down the hall way and woke people up. And being on holidays I thought it w...

We booked for 5 days, in our fourth day we came back to our room after lunch, our bed still not fix I called the reception to clean our room, housekeeping came they just make the bed, they didn’t changed the linen at all, I can feel the bed sheet hasn’t been changed since we arrived,I didn’t say anything, on the fifth day, we left early and came back after lunch, our ...

Green island resort was the highlight of my trip. It looks expensive by book, but so many services on the island is included in the price. if you book a day trip alone, the trip could cost nearly 100 AUD per person. There is so much to do on this island, the beach itself is pristine. During the day, there were boat load of tourists coming, but as soon as the last fer...

We received a very good deal so the value was amazing. This was Cairns first 4 star hotel,so it is older than others, but lots of character.Everything was very comfortable and relaxing. We arrived on a very early flight, very tired, and the staff did their best to have a room ready for us as soon as possible.I especially loved the large bathroom, and the sun streaming into...

Our room on the second floor was clean, quiet and well appointed. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. Unfortunately the window (very large and double glazed) was very dirty presumably from all the construction work going on around the airport which made it unpleasant to look out through. Getting to the Hotel from the International Terminal using the f...

The room was beautiful, amazing view, very tidy... only downfall was the room had a lot of marks on the walls, stained and dirty curtains and the couches looked dirty. Some of the lights weren't working, the bathroom light flickered on and off and the dryer only sometimes worked. I thought it would be a bit cleaner considering there was a notice on the fridge stating h...

this is the best hotel i had during the time in Australia. Everything just perfect!-great location, great rooms, close to everywhere. five mins walk to the port, 10 mins to the railway station, 3 mins to the night market, 2 mins to the pool (a big man made sand pool by the sea, only 0.8-1.5m depth, my daughter had lots of fun there)and 5 mins walk to woolworths, a big ...

The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size fridge, full oven and stovetop. Also a kettle and toaster as well as electric frypan. There was an ironing board with a brand new iron, hairdryer. A balcony that overlooked the pool. There was a full bbq area also a spa. The staff were wonder...

Booked two Studio Suite Twin rooms. The rooms were very large and new, with all amenities just like a studio including cook top and fridge. The hotel is in an old building but it has been completely renovated so it look very new. It has very large lap swimming pool and large gym with all equipment. It locates in very quite area and walking distance (10 to 15 mins ) to ...

This hotel is great value. Right in the heart of Surfers without being among the riff-raff of Cavill Ave. The decor is quirky and funky. The bed was super soft and very comfortable. The lighting in the room was a bit annoying - too dark. No lights over the full length mirror and not enough lighting in the bathroom. Would be nice to have a price list of the spa et...

Where to begin, We booked a king relaxation room with an ocean view through agdoa.com to enjoy a little/mini honeymoon away. Upon check it we found out that this wasn't the case. There seem to be a mis-communication between Hilton and Agdoa. All our booking confirmation stated king relaxation room however Hilton received the booking as a basic room. The duty manager a...

so this place is formally know as njoy but now mad monkey village and is partly finished thru a massive renovation . Dont let reviews of people saying it noisy in day and lools like a buildibg site !! it not that bad ..but your most likey to be pit in newly renovated part hostel which is Literally brand new with memeory foam pillow and matress SUPER COMFY PLUS AC ...

We both absolutely enjoyed staying at Babinda Quaters. The amount of hard work and dedication put in by Maggie and her support to turn a wonderful solid building into fantastic place to stay without a doubt was a grand effort, and is worth a visit to soak in the character of a bi gone era with a little touch of mod cons. If you are lucky, you may be able hear a few ...

Good location, Reasonable price! I really had a great time at summer backpacker. and I decided to extend my stay there. Good place for stating your journey in Australia. After a week in Brisbane, I moved to Bundaberg to get the 2nd-year visa. I definitely will consider staying here when I come back.

I loved my stay at this hostel. It was really cheap and clean which worked well with my limited budget! There were quite a few kitchens and bathrooms to choose from on the different levels and finally I found a place with fast, free wifi. I extended a week, got a free night and the reception staff were excellent with booking my tours and giving me a discount. A really ...

This is a great hostel, one of the best I've seen in Australia. Really comfortable (real beds!), super clean, friendly and breakfast (with good coffee!) which enables you to meet more easily the people. A really good hostel, especially for travelers who travel alone.

I knew this from my friend, she recomend as this is so far the best hostel you can stay in cairns, so i give it a go. Yep i found out its true! I made new friends in the room, we're out and having a good time together, the staff is also helpful and friendly, they always have something happening in the bar like free drinks free pizza, ect. Only the wifi is lame, and you...

I have been here for two night on my holiday, and I wanted to stay more! The room was very clean and everything is brand new. The best location and viewing in the city, I could watch whatever I want on Netflix for free. They provided free breakfast from 7am to 9am, and when I got home I did not have to pay for Uber fare!! The staffs are really friendly, especailly than...

Probably the best hostel I’ve stayed at during my travel around Australia. Everything is perfect, the facilities, the people, the location, the rules, the staff etc. Honestly, you won’t be disappointed if you stay at the reef :) I’ve been there for couple of weeks already and don’t wanna move to a share house !

couldn't have asked for a better location. 2 blocks to everything! stayed in a 2 bedrm unit. it had a small kitchenette, large bathroom, lounge area and 2 large bedrooms with 3 singles and a queen. staff were friendly and helpful, no noise issues from other guests and a pool 2 steps away. it was perfect for us and we ended up staying an extra night as we were quite...

Wasnt so sure about staying at a backpackers, but the accommodation was great, clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Was great to meet so many different people from different countries and swap stories. Waterfront backpackers is the place to be in Cairns, great location on the esplanade right across from the lagoon and everything so close at hand.. beds comfy and a...

Very pleased we chose to stay here. The location is perfect. just a few minutes walk to the pier where you can book in for your excursions to the Great Barrier Reef. The shops, bars and restaurants are also within a few minutes walk as well as the relaxing ‘free’ esplanade. The staff here are extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel is clean and well looked after...

The title says it all. FYI this hostel is under the same ownership as the hostel next door, waterfront, and one other so if you're booking for location... Go ahead and book on one the esplanade because I'm sure you'll have a pretty similar experience anywhere in this network of hostels. This is a bitboff the main difference drag. The staff were long term residents and ...

I booked this hostel based on the good reviews and I totally agree with them. In fact, basically the whole of Cairns seem to agree, because luckily I booked in advance but a lot of people were disappointed to find out it was fully booked, and not just around the eclipse. So the good points about the hostel: clean and big rooms with ensuite bathroom, the atmosphere w...

Pros: Basic confortable rooms close to the train station. Extremely clean. Great staff very helpful (the best so far in Australia) Several kitchens available, small swimming pool, laundry (at a charge). Possibility to store your luggage for free during your tour. Cons: Not much, just a bit far from the sea (still within walkable distance)

This was the best hostel in Australia. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were always available for use. The common area always had people hanging around so it was easy to make friends. Even though it was a social place, the rooms were quiet at night. The staff was very friendly and can book tours for you if you wish. I would definitely r...

Everything you could need for a short or long term stay. Comfy bunk beds, clean sheets, great common areas, plenty of kitchen storage and a pool to cool off in. The reception staff were always friendly and full of knowledge. Only thing would be more thorough cleaning of the rooms. Mine was an all female room with en-suite and the bathroom/shower could do with a deep cl...

Pro: Clean / Cosy/ Cinema room/ Free shuttle service couple times a day to Stockland (bus transit centre) so you can do your shoppings/ Free breakfast/ Rain shower/3min walk to the beach / Friendly staff/ Swimmingpool/rowing machine/ bbq/ Huge kitchen with everthing you hope for/books&games/ big comfi couch and tv for extra home-like feeling Cons: NON! It's just t...

There's pros and cons to this hostel. But overall, I kinda enjoyed my stay there. So my flight landed at around 2am plus and I reached Bunk ard 3am, and I expect to be given access to my room right away since I already booked and prepaid it. Never did I imagine that they didnt book the suite for me, instead their suites (that Ive already paid for) have been complete...

Clean rooms considering I stayed in the 20 bed dorm. Very social hostel. Close to the bus station and a short walk into the centre/beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pool and hot tub and there was plenty of places to sit around. Cheap food in there restaurant and reasonable drink prices too!

We stayed in Deluxe Twin Room at Geckos for 6 days. The room was clean and tidy. The toilet and shower room also not bad. All kitchen stuffs that we need were all set. Most important thing was we could book all tours for Kuranda & Great barrier reef without any problem and it was quite awesome, thanks to the staff who helped us with kind explanation. :-)

My friend and I stayed in the bunk house or dorm area. The room has no windows and gets very humid/traps everything inside. On the positive: the room has big lockers and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating However: The bedding and sheets is definitely questionable and gave my friend scabies

Since Agnes waters is a pretty small town the hostel was rather small too. But that was exactly what I loved so much about my stay. When I was leaving I knew everyone by their names and everyone came to say goodbye, even the staff. I’d definitely come back :)

I booked Ipanema apartments as a last minute thing for 2 nights. I checked in late and although reception was closed, a lovely gentleman came down to greet me and check me in. The apartment itself was clean, modern & very spacious for a 1bedroom. It also had 2 balconies which was a nice bonus. Although it wasn’t swimming pool weather, the hotel had 3 pools I believe wh...

It is more like an apartment building rather than a hotel. The lobby was well furnished while the rooms were not.. no mini bar. But the best thing is that it has a small designated smoking area in the hotel for convenience. The hotel only has one entrance that was not facing the sea, so u have to walk around the huge building before u actually heading to the sea. Staff...

After reading some reviews we initially booked elsewhere. Then after exteding our stay in Brisbane we decided to book here . This place is better than expected. Pros - Excellent location right near the Casino and mall - Best value for money. Comfortable and with parking available and late check-out - Friendly and professional staff - Clean room with all the necessiti...

I booked this hotel on a whim, as some reviews werent great but thought why not give it a go. And im so glad i did. It is by far the best hotel iv stayed in on the coast. Close to all shops of cavill ave but yet just enough out of all the hussell and night life. Highly recommend families to stay here as my teenaged kids loved it as much as we did. Cant wait for another...

On a positive note the apartment was large and airy. The dish draw dishwasher did perform well. The other facilities were disappointing in that the included free wi-fi was poor at best. The front load washing machine was caked in washing powder and required considerable cleaning before it could be used. A Foxtel box was in the apartment but provided no access to any c...

Amazing location right on the main Queens Street. Perfect place to stay with a gym and pool and all these amazing facilities. One thing I hope it was stated on the booking description is that all of the pad rooms are located right next to the elevator, and hope someone would warn me after I stated I strongly preferred no rooms near elevator. However, the staffs were ve...

We booked the king spa studio for one night at a great price - they often have specials for 2 nights also.. Booked this hotel as had a function to attend nearby and the price was good value. Learned that the hotel had recently been taken over by Ovolo and had refurbished. the decor is modern and funky. there was a lingering smell of fresh wool carpet but i am sure that will wear off. everything was spotless. We booked a Large Room so it was very spacious, with a large b...

This is a very beautiful unique hotel, feels like living in a movie. The room is very cean. Only problem is if you lag by cash, they will reqire $150/day security bound, so probably means if you stay 10 nights, they will keep $1500 during your stay. I had $60 less in my wallet, i asked if it's ok, the lady said no. Not feeling very good, for the guests who paid for 3 ...

The W Brisbane is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in Australia. On arrival someone was already there to greet us before carrying our luggage for delivery to our room. One thing that drives me nuts is this is not a cheap hotel, the breakfast is also expensive and then you have to pay for a proper coffee... Really? What is it actually costing you to supply a proper coffee when you could include the cost in the room and breakfast. You could enter any of the big chain hotels in this whinge, but like I said it drives me nuts.

I always stay at the Sofitel because it is in a great location, handy to public transport, shopping and entertainment. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are big, clean and the beds are really comfortable. Cant ever say anything isnt up to the best five star standard it says it is.

I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel. Each and every one of the staff members will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The beaches are beautiful and the snorkeling is fantastic. I really enjoyed staying here and would come back the moment I had another opportunity to.
