West Sumatera hotels & accommodations

This hotel offers nice view, ambience and strategic location to explore Bukittinggi and West Sumatera.
As far as i know, mercure Padang is one of the best chain hotel in West Sumatera. Another easy nice stay. COuldnt expect more.
This is a newly built hotel after the old one totally collapsed by 2009 West Sumatra earthquake. The building itself is great and the room is spacious. The swimming pool is the best part of hotel, located at the rooftop and give you the scenery of Padang city skyline. I had a pleasant stay here during my business trip to Padang.
Travelled with 4 adults and 2 young children, booked 2 twin bed rooms. This was ok for my group. Rooms were rather clean for Indonesian standards. Staff ok and helpfull. Small swimming pool, nice locations at a market/shopping street. Buffet breakfast was rather good. Comfortable beds. Nice for little children. Strange they locked the key room every day, and we had to...
i read reviews of this hotel before arriving, knowing that i should not expect a real 5 star hotel; however, it exceeds my expectation when entering my room. i believe the hotel has recently gone through some renovation. although the room is not big, but i have a luxury feel. everything was good.
i brought my family total 8 people from 3 years old children to 75 years old. i and my kids stay in this room, while my parents stay on next room (deluxe). the room is clean, even we can smell paint lightly, due its still all new. the view from window is also very good, especially during sunrise. i would suggest to take higher level to have better view. the swimmin...
It was one of the best hotel I stayed before. Excellent from all aspect. Best customer service ever I had. Nice restaurant/cafe view as well as the food. For sure will come again. Miss Ibis so much. Love it.
Location of the hotel was a bit far from the center of the city center but it was ok since the view of the hotel was great. It was like in the uphill and we can see the view down there and mountains far away. It was kinda property in Ubud, Bali with greens view where ever you lay down your eyes. The hotel has three type of room; superior, family suite and bungalow. Me...
We stayed at the Hotel Pangeran City, Padang, Indonesia for a scientific seminar. The Seminar was actually held at the Hotel Pangeran Beach; same management I think. We didn't get enough room for our group at the Hotel Pangeran Beach when we booked, so we tried to searh for other hotel, and we decided to book the rooms at the Hotel Pangeran City. Our considerations wer...
This hotel is very comfortable and may be one of the best hotels in Padang town, West Sumatra. Can't wait for next trip to Padang town!
Hotel sangat berpatutan harganya. bilik yang bersih dan memuaskan. ada kolam renang yang bersih. sarapan juga sangat sedap. saya rekemen hotel ini jika berkunjung ke Padang.
This is a new hotel, one of the main reasons I'm giving it a try against the recommendation of a local. The room is ok and new (of course), but a number of things are not to my liking. 1) The flooring within the room and outside at the aisle on each floor. As it is tiled with no carpet, it is the worse combination when patrons wear its provided in-house slippers. Every...
Neae to everything in Padang, from outside look like a small hotel , but go inside planty of rooms at the back . Peaceful and nice environment inside. Spacious room, nice good size bathroom for the price that I paid . The only letdown is the breakfast, too simple , taste ok but not great. But in gourmet city like Padang, you can just take gojek or hop in Grabcar/Taxi ...
Room not sound proofing when people outside talking can hear very clear. If room facing road there is big noisy when the peak hour begin. Very Basic there is no tea making facilities, but there is always a coffee and tea available at the lobby i guest it for welcome drink and i always ask for coffee there the staff give for free for gesture. The wifi just ok not high s...
Very nice small hotel. Room is big, bright and clean. Compared to other hotel around, this hotel's Superior room is bigger and has comfy facilities. Excellent value for money.... Good location in city center and very near to the Padang beach. Had nice morning stroll and swim at the beach, kids are very happy. Internet is free and most importantly fast and stable. Staf...
I can say that this is the most beautiful hotel designs in Padang with great environment, good foods in restaurant and good service staffs. I checked out the next day to another hotel but I came back to D Oxville with my pyjamas and requested I that I wanted to stay in again to room. Unluckily the room was occupied but they tried their best to keep it for me the next m...
This is a nice, boutique hotel in a pretty good location. It has a number of restaurants across the road and the beach is only a short walk away (with many simple food stalls - nasi goreng, mee goreng, drinks). A further walk takes you to the river (south) or central shopping district (west). It's an interesting town and worth the visit for one night or two. The Super...
This hotel is centrally located in the beautiful city of Bukittinggi in West Sumatra. The rooms are very simple, but clean. Breakfast is sufficient for the local standard. The hotel staff is friendly and quite helpful. This hotel offers a fairly good value for money, if you are mainly interested to have a clean and cheap place to stay in the town centre.
The price was affordable for a family of three. We can walk to the beach and stalls near it around 15 minutes only. There's a food stall in front of the hotel also. Actually quite a lot stalls. Halal and non-halal stalls accessible by walking. There's a hot water and air conditioned. We get free breakfast also as per booking statement. Need to pay 200k rupiah for secur...
Overall, a very good hotel to spend a short stay at before heading out to other places like Bukittinggi etc. It was also a pleasure having a place where people could speak English (as its hard to do so in the rest of the town). Hotel was clean and facilities were adequate enough for a pleasant stay. Highly recommended.
the staff were friendly. and there is a live music on saturday located in city center so every tourist spot is within walking distance hot water tea coffee aircon tv stayed for 2 days the minus is the steep stairs only but aside from that everything is okay
I can’t say how much I loved this place, from the staff to the atmosphere, food, room cleanliness, and hospitality were amazing. This is probably one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I would go out of my way just to stay here again if given the opportunity. The building itself is wonderful and then they put a trendy hotel/bar in it. Beds/restrooms are comfy and ...
Satisfied but some facility need to be repaired
nice clean hotel with frienly staff but the lift is way too far behind from the lobby. corridor via restaurant is a bit narrow so if you're with big bag, take the left corridor (via surau). one lighting power switch that control lighting switch and power plug switch in a room. so if you switch off this lighting switch at night the plug then your tv is off too!!! as...
All the best for the medium money, 😁. Seneng n nggak nyesel. mantap
Not as expected. Was given different unit , not as per picture. Old building and a bit run down. Disappointed coz no water heater and they don't even provide toiletries. No sofa provided because the living hall is too cramp. Breakfast was good though , however it was packed and sent to your unit. No dining area in our 3BR unit. Imagine that you have to seat on the f...
We really enjoyed our stay in this places In fact we extend our stay for one more night,it's so beautiful around the hotel, wich is the hotel right in the middle two mountain Singgalang and merapi, the Staff are really helpful and friendly, two things let it down are the breakfast not much choise,,the nasi goreng is cold, and they only breakfast for Western is only toast ...
Good..But i felt a bit disappointed because hotel could not prepare the early breakfast for us. We check out early at 5am..they told us that they can only provided the breakfast at 7.30am. So it is a waste of money. My advice, if your flight ticket early in the morning do not book the hotel with breakfast.
I stayed in this hotel during my holiday in west Sumatera. The hotel was clean but limited facilities. Having good breakfast.

Pros: brand new rooms (across the road # 10 & above), plastic still on metal! Very clean, free water, tea & coffee, comfy bed, English channels on flat screen TV, amazing staff, spoke good English, he booked our flights for us online using his card as ours was blocked and he charged exactly the online price, he also booked us a car to the airport and again it was the ...
The homestay has a nice and comfortable place to stay either you want it book as a room or home. The place of the homestay is near to city where you can go there by walk or ride a book. the staff were friendly. and there is a live music on saturday located in city center so every tourist spot is within walking distance hot water tea coffee aircon tv stayed for 2 days the minus is the steep stairs only but aside from that everything is okay
A guest house wirh proper facilities, located in the city center, nice and helpful staff, and of course cheap for a singke stay or long stay in Padang. You can also book a tour or rent a motor bike here with reasonable price.
I originally booked for two nights but stayed for another two. Marcus the owner manger is an amazing host, he went out of his way to find information for the activities I want to do and was very accommodating and polite. The hostel has a good breakfast - bread, chocolate/jam spread, cheese and self service all you can eat egg/omelette station. hot showers and good air-...
This homestay is good for solo backpackers , and room also clean. the most important is this homestay close to airport around 15-30 min depend on traffic. The owner also good :)
It was very cheap and for this price the hotel was more than okay. The only negative thing was in my opinion that not even one guy of the staff spoke english. That was a little bit annoying but in the end we although could book our travel continuation with them.

Passing through Padang, this is a great option. Big rooms, AC, kitchen for use, Hot and cold water refills. Easy walk to town. Just a warning though, this has NOTHING to do with the accommodation, but I had my bag snatched in Padang while there last week. A motorbike came from behind and grabbed it. It was diagonally over my shoulder, and under my other arm! I was walk...
This property is 60 meters away from busy roadside. One can choose airport bus Damri @ 23500 rp (one way)and stop near Bakso hotel. Other than that, this place is clean, quite and relax. Recommended for a short stay.
When you come there, you will be served like your second family. The location of this homestay made us easy to go everywhere, to the site of the oldcity, Sawahlunto. From the owner of this homestay, we can learn and know the story about this city and we can feel like we're one of the members of this city. This homestay will give you am experience beyond your expectaion...
A quiet chalet with its own beach front facing the lake. Lovely view of the lake, although water quality is not good enough to swim. Friendly and helpful staff. We rented the 2 storey bunglow and stayed for 3 nights. The place is relatively short walk to town where food is available. A sink with tap would be useful for the toilet.
I booked this hotel for my driver, Based on his review that The hotel clean and location in the centre of the city. AC was not cool. Need some improvement in the room, but anyway it was value for money.
Location wise is far from jam gadang.the route as stated in agoda was wrong.you have to ask the people out there
I booked the cheapest room and it was perfectly fine, a bit small, but all I needed was a clean place to rest my head that night. The staff were friendly but didn't speak English but that was ok because all I needed was the room key and wifi password. The a/c was crisp & cool and the bathroom was decent too. Breakfast was included with the room rate and was actually qu...
Satisfied but some facility need to be repaired
Very unique home stay, everything was super. I do recommend this place for travelers in Bukittinggi . Thank you
This hotel has great character and beautiful antique furniture. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and modern. We had the most inexpensive room and it did not have a window to the outside. However it did have a large window onto a kind of terrace or sitting area which was sunny and bright. The bathroom had plenty of hot water, but I only ...

homey bgt.. sejuuk krn banyak pohon2nya.. recommended buat yg pgn cari penginapan low budget tp bagus..
The first thing that the staff asked upon my arrival with my wife was whether we were married. And they really do their checking, going through our passports to ensure that we were really husband and wife! The hotel has a set of rules with the first one being you are not allowed to stay with other than your spouse. The rules also set out the prohibition of bringing in ...

the hotel overall was adequate. the decor was good, the rooms a decent size and the staff friendly, but had difficulty understanding english. the entire lobby and outdoor restaurant was continually engulfed in smoke making it quite unpleasant to spend time there - the hallways too. towels and bath mats were extremely worn and it was difficult to get a towel by the pool...
The stay was great, but booking thru Agoda doesn't get you the all inclusive package, this means no speed boat ride out to the resort. That needs to be fixed because you could find yourself stuck in Padang. It was only luck that it all worked out.
I spent a night at this hotel before catching my next fight the next morning. This is consider a 4 or 5* hotel eventhough the hotel quite old already. A check in process need to take into account as i and some of the guest have to wait for more then 15 minutes just to check in into the room. To overcome this issue, the hotel management gave us a welcoming juice and i a...
there are a few "similar"names for Denai Hotel, even the driver who is a local confused sometimes. We end up at a wrong hotel before being redirected to the correct ones.
