I have stayed at multiple hotels in Hua Hin over the years, as well as hotels elsewhere in Thailand and around the world. REST DETAIL IS AT THE TOP OF THE GAME! WHY ... 1) Staff - absolutely outstanding, proactive, kind & efficient 2) Attention to detail - staff anticipates needs/wants ... terrific attention to detail 3) Beautiful rooms - comfortable and clean with great balconies 4) Grounds - two great swimming pools 5) Scenery - right next to the ocean 6) Dining - first rate restaurant 7) Location - short 10 minute taxi ride to downtown Hua Hin 8) Peaceful - no traffic or big city noises, not a huge hotel so not crammed full of guests 9) Facilities - complimentary wireless internet service 10) Price - less expensive than other hotels in the area that are comparable

Great new hotel to add to Hua Hin”

Fantastic addition to the accommodation options of Hua Hin. As someone who has gone to Hua Hin my whole life, and stayed in countless hotels, I can attest that Rest Detail is perfectly comfortable, and gives off the air of what Hua Hin should be -- beachy, family-oriented, comfortable, with many amenities. The pools are wonderful with views of the ocean -- and a narrow patch of beach. Worth it to splurge on a pool villa and enjoy the semi-private pool on that end of the grounds. Pack on the bug-spray -- there were many bugs, unsurprisingly being in a beach town. I found one in my bed, that I may have mistaken for a bedbug, though they assured me it was one of the summertime bugs that fly around. The hotel is located about 7-10 minutes outside of Hua Hin town, so transportation is a must! The hotel is located in a back soi where not many tuktuks or taxis frequent. So, you either will have to walk out to the main road to catch a car, or rent one of their bicycles. Overall, a good boutique hotel worth trying. Will be back with my family.

Heaven in Hua Hin”

My husband and I spent seven nights at the Rest Detail Hotel in Hua Hin. Chosen from the net, it was a triumph. A small, boutique hotel providing the best of everything. The staff went out of their way at all levels to make guests feel welcome. I had booked the Rest Green Room which is the basic room. Just lovely. We were told that some renovations were planned and that we would be upgraded for the final five nights to the Pool Village. Could not have been happier. Walk out of your room onto your private verandah and down to your personal sun lounges. The pool is at your door. If it's sheer relaxation and beautiful surroundings you are looking for, I thoroughly recommend this gem of a hotel.

I stayed at the hotel from 14-16 Aug 2008. The first thing upon checking in is they give you a bracelet. It is a souvenir as well as identification of you being a guest, which i think is rather nice touch. Although I paid for the rest horizon room I was upgraded to the pool village. The room is lovely and your patio overlooks the pool. You get to choose your bath salts. Lovely. The next day I asked to "down graded" myself to rest horizon. My room was on the 4th level and my wife and I spent most of our time at the lovely day bed and jacuzzi situated on the balcony. My view is that pool village is very good for families with children and the rest horizon is better for couples. All in all the stay was fantastic. The people were very charming, gracious and extremely helpfull and professional. The cost is a bit expensive, but if you want to truly indulge, this is the place. Good location and close to Hua Hin town.

Great value for family ”

I booked 3 nights spirit room and 3 nights horizon room. The spirit room is great in value, big room size with sea view from side of balcony. Serving with different types of snacks daily adds value to this hotel. Horizon room gives you great sea view directly from your bed with a Jacuzzi. If your budget is limited, spirit is already good enough as you can still swim in the big pool and go to the beach right in front of the pool (but the beach will disappear completely during late afternoon of day due to tide). The breakfast is in good quality with variations daily. Although there is only 1 pool side estaurant (except that for breakfast), the food quality is very good. I think it's ok as you would mostly go out for dinner. The staffs are nice and pleasent. They had great response to our requests. I played a drone outside of Horizon room but unfortunately, it was blown away by strong wind and I couldn't find it. I informed the staff and they helped me to find it immediately even we couldn't see any clue where it dropped. When I return hotel that night, a staff approached me and said they tried their best but still couldn't find it. I really appreciated their effort and I was ready to leave the drone in Hua Hin. And what a surprise was that when I return hotel the last night in the hotel, I found my drone already on the bed! The staffs really beared their guest's request on their mind and I deeply appreciate their efforts. I would highly recommend this hotel because of their services, room size, view and location.

A blissful stay”

It was almost twenty years since I visited Hua Hin so I have no recollection of the place. I picked Rest Detail as it looks nice on their website and price is good considered its proximity to the beach. The hotel turns out to be everything as promised. Everything is picturesque. The beach is good for a stroll but not really for sunbathing as it's quite small.

A very nice hotel with friendly staff!”

We have stayed for 2 nights, and the first night we are staying at the pool village. The pool is nice, although we are not at a good weather. The 2nd night we are supposed to stay in the "rest spirit", and they told us that we are upgraded to "rest horizon"! I'm so surprised of it, and i love the room of "rest horizon" much more! Everything is so good, and the food in the restaurance is good with reasonable price! Love the lemongrass shower gel, and the free shuttle to and from city, although only with limited services. Must come back again if I go to Hua Hin next time. Highly recommend.

VERY good hotel”

Love this place. First time there and I really LOVE it. It is an expensive hotel, but from the moment you step in, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, the hotel looks amazing and oozes relaxation and I love how everything is setup. The rooms are great, and they give you fresh cookies everyday! Only few points to improve on is probably the food in their restaurant for dinner, starters were amazing but the steak being advertised as "australian beef", did not taste it. Tasted more like cheap beef that you could get from the market. Also, massage prices are off the roof. But all in all, still LOVE the place, would just choose to go for food outside (their breakfast is pretty decent though) and massages. Can't wait for my next trip back to Hua Hin.

Nice boutique hotel”

Enjoyed my stay at the Rest Detail. Staff are nice and speak good English - generally very helpful. Great breakfast spread! I was full through lunch! Pool was nice too with good sun but towels were a bit old.... location was pretty good and they have free shuttle to town. Don't expect any real beach but that's Hua Hin in general... Rooms are spacious and beds are quite comfy. The table in the room had a bit of ants issue so if any small bit of food is on it, they come out!

Real Relaxation as 2nd vitsits in a month ”

It's our 2nd time here in this month. Rest horizon room is our choice and it's great. My recommended for rest horizon room is please specific the you want the 4th floor for your stay because it's more private and great view as well. It's real relaxation hotel with serviced mind english skill staffs. 3rd visit's coming soon for sure. Best choice if you wanna stay in Hua-Hin.

Beautiful and Comfort!”

1. Location will be an issue if you do not drive. It is about 1KM from main road. Riding taxi might be costly for two ways. Very difficult to book a car in Hua Hin. 2. Room's floor wood, is nice and comfortable. However, in Spirit room, the shower room has only fixed shower, it is inconvenient to shower with infant. No stool for young kids to stand up and wash in wash basin. 3. Breakfast is nice. Plenty of choices! 4. Check in and out process is acceptable. 5. The king-size bed is great, 6 feed width. 6. Wireless WiFi generally is good! 7. The beach is shallow and not those white and dry sands. They have pool indeed. Generally, the only best is the location but is exposed to risk of connecting shopping mall. The incident response team need to be more pro-active. May be the price for the room is for the location only but not worth the price.

Beach Hotel, Comfortable room and Jacuzzi”

Rest Detail is beach hotel in Hua-Hin, it's in the downtown and close to nigh market. The room is quite small (60 sqr-m) comparing with another hotel in the same rate, but there are big bathroom and very comfortable king size bed. The hi-light should be "over size" jacuzzi at the open sky terrace, it's very huge bathtub with the beautiful sea view and very privacy. Even the breakfast is quite Thai local style, the taste is friendly for foreigner also. Don't miss the BBQ on the beach with soft-drink.

Hidden Gem! Great Hotel”

This is a boutique hotel, with an open air style and "Miami" feel... All the details are considered and the service was 5star.... The Only knock is that it is out of the Hua Hin town, so if that is important then you may want to choose another... But Its got a great pool and is on the beach, beautiful setting and great hotel

Awesome room, clean, good breakfast”

I'm totally very happy with the stay in Rest Detail Hotel. Rest Horizon room is completely prefect! Enjoyed with the private Jacuzzi, big bathtub and their welcoming cakes. They served very good breakfast with variety of choices. The restaurant inside the hotel served good dinner as well and the price is reasonable. One point to mention, during my stay, I almost forgot where I place my handbag somewhere while i'm busy taking photo of the hotel surrounding. They hotel staff keep my handbag for me!! I'm really so lucky and feeling so warm of their service! My handbag have all of my passport, purse, handphone inside, if someone took over my handbag i think i'm really fall into trouble. Really thank you so much for the staff! You're truly amaze !

Most relaxing, enjoyable stay”

Positioned at the end of the street (no thru traffic) quiet surrounds, Courtesy bus into Hua Hin central, all staff fantastic, great breakfasts, even better evening meals!!! We stayed in a Rest Green room - spacious well appointed room. Complimentary snacks daily. Pool area peaceful and relaxing.

A true " rest detail" hotel”

The waiters are helpful. The room is very beautiful. The server are thoughtful! The only drawback is the free van to the market is not very often and needed to book 30 mins before. But they can help to call the taxi, it's solved problem. The breakfast there is nice and the restaurant in the hotel is chip, tasty, romantic. A great hotel choice in Hua Hin.

Everything we expected and much more”

This wasn't the first hotel we thought of when we decided to go to Hua Hin but after a booking mishap on Agoda, we ended up here and we were pleasantly surprised. "Detailed" is the keyword in all of the hotel's design and SOW. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the main building and didn't have the best view, but it was modern yet homey and very comfortable. Every staff member was cheerful, polite and attentive. Their breakfast service was also impeccable; one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating!

Good place”

I had a pleasant stay with the hotel, we were warmly welcome by the staff. All staff in the hotel are friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious, pool is good and breakfast is good too. Location is a little far from hua hin beach but walking distance to Seen Space. Will come back again.
