Great stay, one for the memory books”
We booked this place specifically for the location on the river and for the fact there's no electricity, a/c, or internet. Was the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy the amazing river. Food was great, staff were awesome, and the rooms were clean and as we expected. It's sortof like camping - but with beds, a clean toilet and shower, and great food. During March-May, bring a battery powered fan since it's pretty warm, but we slept fine and just took showers before bed. Be careful with the river current with younger kids, make sure you don't just let them jump in alone. My 7 and 10 year old kids had a blast and we jumped in the river and floated to the end of the hotel probably 30x in the two days we were there . The river is clean and cool - a great way to refresh after a hot day.

Part of a honeymoon with my future wife”
There is 2 different parkings to receive us at arrival. After we enter a fast boat for a long trip on a very long river. It was about fifth we see and was more after the one we have. all the bedroom and 1 restaurant is on a building on water. It's always moving and making noise for bedroom and ear anything from all peoples and water is really cold for shower and no electricity. There is a big difference of Celsius between night and day. No pollution, perfect blue sky, restaurant is incredible, incredible staff, very romantic especially when we eat in the dark with romantic lights. We have romantic lights for moving around and inside bedroom. The staff live in the forest and nice to visit them. There is an Elephant we can feed. Food is really good and good amount of variety. Very romantic place, was perfect for us even almost not sleep but only 1 night there.

Wonderful, relaxing, place. Staff very nice, clean hotel, food very good.”
We were a group of 7 adults. We all had an amazing time relaxing on the hammocks, walking through the Mon Village, and meeting and feeding their elephant. In the morning while relaxing on the hammock out back the elephant came down for a bath and food. The River Kwai Jungle Rafts was a highlight to our vacation. We stayed one night, could have stayed two.

Best experience you can enjoy from the resort.”
The idea of the resort surprised me a lot. It was my first time to stay in a resort where without electricity, hot water and internet service. Nonetheless, the resort was worthy of visit. The staff and the view over here were super nice. At night, I could see that the sky was full of stars. The dinner and the breakfast they offered were delicious as well. Another selling point was that we could just jump into the river to float off!! But remember to take the life jacket! I hope I can back in the future!

Highly recommended - but get ready for a boat ride and no electricity ”
Beautiful location and a great way to experience life on the river. Access is via a 20 to 30 minute long tail boat ride. The boat ride was awesome, particularly as it was included in the cost of the room (like getting a free, mini river tour). Finding the boat dock was a bit of a challenge. Also be aware that the boats don’t run 24/7, so confirm with them for any late afternoon arrivals. The facilities were nice and the rooms were great, but be aware there is no electricity in them. Lighting is provided by a combination of kerosene lamps (along the walkways) and battery powered lamps inside the rooms. They provide a small flashlight, but I’d recommend bringing a few of your own. Mosquito repellent would also be prudent, however the mosquitoes were not a problem during our visit. Dinner and breakfast was great!

Amazing”
a destination where you can feel the best of beautiful nature. There is no electricity, only kerosene lamps and a starry sky at night. Lovely Mon people, the village right there

Compact Set of Comfort”
If you want to hide away or have a social detox, this is one of the best choices. The most excellent thing I love is the hospitality and service mind of the local lovely and energetic staffs. The room is clean and can give you a natural touch while the food is tasty and friendly for foreigners (not too spicy). You can order your favorite beer and cocktails at the bar and hang out by the River Kwai as your wonderful sanctuary. As for sport guys, you can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the afternoon before sunset.

Unique experience in Thailand”
Beautifully crafted and maintained rafts on the River Kwai Noi. Mon village and elephant camp nearby. Attentive staff, good food and romantic setting. Be aware though that this is an ECO resort so there is no electricity in the rooms.

Nice and peaceful place to relax”
The room is ok with 2 beds, one double and one single in the room. A little bit noisy when someone walk pass your room, you will hear every sound as the room is next to each other. The staff is very helpful. We can feed elephant in the morning and it's much fun. The dinner and breakfast is incorporated in the room rate. Overall, I love this place and would like to go back again.

A great getaway! Loved the activities”
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights stay here. Surprisingly, time flew by despite no wifi or electricity. I highly recommend trying their Stand Up Paddling activity. We paddled down the river kwai and it was an unreal experience in nature. The activity guides were fantastic!

Friendly staff, delicious food”
The accommodation is very nature-oriented, providing the best atmosphere. The food is delicious for both dinner and breakfast. There are activities to do all day, suitable for couples or families. Most importantly, the staff here are very lovely and friendly, caring, and have a customer service mindset. Highly recommended 💕

Lack of dining atmosphere”
If you like nature, highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is great, full score without deduction. No matter how many times I come, I still love it like before. If you prefer convenience, I recommend other places. But if you want to relax, listen to the sound of water and wake up to the mist, and have a romantic dinner under the candlelight, this is the place to be.

Great escape”
The bungalow without electricity and weak mobile signal is a true getaway. There is a Mon village to visit and a nature trail to explore, suitable for nature lovers. There are not many insects, only mosquitoes. The rooms are clean, the staff is good, and the view is beautiful. The night air is not hot, and you can sleep without a fan. The breakfast and dinner are delicious and well worth it.

Amazing Experience”
We booked 2 nights on the Jungle Raft after reading reviews that said 2 nights were enough. We couldnt agree less. We will difinetly be returning but will stay at least 4 nights. We loved the peace and tranquillity. Sitting on the edge of the water of an evening with the kero lamps giving a lovely charm to the place was fantastic. We found that there were several tours that could be arranged and booked on the Raft and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend the tour to Hellfire Pass. The meals, particurly evening meals, were very enjoyable. One of the highlights for us was floating down the River Kwai with one of the staff. We floated for about 45 minutes before going in shore to another hotel and taking a long boat ride back up river to the Raft. As there was a group of 4 travelling we hired a mini bus to take us from Bangkok to the pier and for it to return 2 days later to take us back to Bangkok. The cost was approx $140 au. Next Time would book to go back on the train. . Cant compliment the staff enough on their friendliness & helpfulness. If peace, tranquillity and chilling out (with the occassion side trip)is your type of holiday you wont find better

Retreat on the river”
We had a delightful time at River Kwai Jungle Rafts. This rustic resort floating in the river is the perfect getaway. Even though cell phones do work here, there is no electricity to recharge so just turn them off, bring a book and a bathing suit, and enjoy. You can float down the river, go kayaking, or explore the Mon village where most of the hotel workers live. The dinner was excellent - very much a home made Thai dinner.

brilliant staff, breathtaking location”
The River Kwai Jungle Rafts is perhaps not the first choice for the disabled traveller but my brother has guts and determination and so we booked. The staff could not do enough for him, minimising walking distance by serving dinner outside the room and practically carrying him onto the pontoons. However, we were travelling by car and followed the sat nav directions to the hotel. This is not a good idea. The road is incredibly difficult, steep, no tarmac, lots of ruts and generally rather scarey. But that isn't the official way to arrive. One should drive to the official landing point and catch the long tail ferry. That would have been safer. Some information about this at the time of booking or even after would have saved me a minor panic attack and the embarrassment of having one of the hotel staff drive my car back to the main road. The staff were wonderful and I could not fault the service. It should be noted that there is no electricity and no hot water which for most of the year just adds to the romance of the experience. However in the middle of the winter months it can be cold at night so take warm clothes.

Unique experience, adventure and romantic.”
When you like nature, and back to basic for 1 or max.2 nights, this is great! No electric, only oil lamps at night. Good beds (3 per room). Very simple shower, cold water, good western toilet. These floating hotels are in the River Kwai. So romantic, so unique. Just jump in de river and let you float to the last boat, climb on board, walk back and jump again: lot of fun! Food is very good Thai food, set-menu, and breakfast. Very friendly staff. When you visit Kanchanaburi and the River Kwai, it is a must to spend one night here. Can only be reached by boat from Resotel pier, 15 minutes by long-tail boat. Transfer was included in room price. For me the 3 rd time to stay there, everytime with different friends, and they love it!
