BEST hotel in Singapore !”

I landed in Singapore with the first flight and got into the hotel as early as 10 AM and they let me checked in to my room, while other hotels in Singapore usually only allow me to get into my room at 2 PM. This helped me a lot to have a rest in the room a bit and refreshed myself before my meetings. The room is quite big and I can enjoy free mini bar in the room replenished daily with soft drinks, juices and mineral water. All free of charge! Very generous of them! All the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Bell Service and Concierge staffs are very helpful and work very fast on baggage handling and taxi queue. They responded immediately when I had problem logging in to the wifi connection in the room, I was planning couple of weeks before my arrival to have dinner at their Carousel Restaurant and I made reservation for the dinner online on the Carousel website. They always have waiting list for Carousel and all the food was SUPERB, fresh, and has very extensive choices, especially the seafood which I loved very much!! No wonder as Carousel Restaurant is voted as the Best Buffet Restaurant in Singapore by AsiaOne People's Choice Awards for 6 consecutive years !!! Amazing. I stayed there for 3 nights and had a last flight on my check out day. It has the best location right on the city center of Singapore and within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and shopping malls in Orchard Road area. They let me use the Business Center for free after I checked out and enjoy free drinks there for couple of hours while waiting for my night flight. Thank you Royal Plaza on Scotts ! I will definitely come back and stay there again next time.

Wonderful stay with best service& good facilities”

My wife and I stayed at Royal Plaza on Scotts Hotel for a weekend staycation. We enjoyed our stay tremendously that we extended a day there. Royal Scotts staff received us warmly and provided excellent service. We managed to upgrade our room type to include breakfast by adding a mere $30/pax. The room was comfortable and lovely. We had a good rest and enjoyed the channels provided. In addition to that, the food served at Carousel was delicious and of a wide variety. However, the swimming pool was a slight disappointment for its location and size were not very appealing. This hotel's location is the most ideal for those interested in being around the city area. Located right smack at the beginning of Orchard Road, it is within walking distance to all the different shopping centres, entertainment (LIDO cinema) and restaurants. We would certainly recommend this hotel to those who would want to be in a centralised location and have easy access to Orchard Road.

Hotel with World-class Service ”

i choose this hotel mainly because its location – nearby orchid road and close to mrt station. just 5 minutes by walk you can arrive at ion and ngee ann city. for the ones who like to go shopping, i doubt there’s better option with lower price. just across the street you can find a food court in far east plaza, where you can find various choice of food which provides you an economical choice if you do not want to spend too much in a fancy restaurant every night. moreover, i find its service is one of best among all the hotels i had even been in 20 countries. i am not just talking about free mini bar – although it helps as well – the most impressive thing is how touching the staff could be, especially the ones rom concierge. i definitely would choose royal plaza on scotts again if the budget allows; after all, their service is something you can hardly find in any other hotel in the world. i sincerely hope that agoda can try to make its own service close to the level of royal plaza on scotts, and maybe agoda should send someone over there to benchmark it. in terms of hardware, it is not the best hotel in town; for example, i would prefer the hotels with better swimming pool and gym. nonetheless, i truthfully thank all the hotel staff for giving me a unique experience in staying here.

Great location and excellent service”

i travel to singapore a lot, for medical reasons, business, visiting relatives and simply for holiday with friends or families. we have tried many hotels and even serviced apartments. just so happens that this was our first time staying at royal plaza on scotts hotel. i must say that this hotel falls into the category of one of the nicest hotels we've tried so far in singapore. the staff were all very friendly and helpful. definitely service with heart and with a smile! the location is excellent, right in the center of orchard, very convenient. the check-in and check-out process was fast, handling luggage upon our arrival was excellent. i heard that the breakfast was always all halal food, too bad we did not try it. next time we definitely will. the rate was a little bit expensive, maybe with more special discounts and promotions will attract even more guests coming in and staying at this hotel.

Royal Plaza On Scotts is one of the best hotels in Singapore to stay in. It is located in the busy town of Orchard, specifically at Scotts Road, and it is the hotel to stay in for shopaholics. The hotel's neighbour, from the same building extension, is The Galleria where DFS or Duty Free items are sold of various brands. Inside the hotel, there is a Restaurant called The Carousel where they have an International Buffet every day; with food which taste as good as the price per head (quite pricey for my range, but still affordable). The room is quite big for a standard room, with free internet service and also a free mini bar. Hotel staff are extra friendly and their service are up to professional standard. Overall, our stay there was a 10/10 and no regrets at all.

Lovely hotel with a great location”

It's always reassuring when your taxi driver instantly knows your hotel, even if you've never stayed there. And in this case the reason's are all good. The Royal Plaza On Scotts Hotel has a great location near the western end of Orchard Road, (on Scotts Rd, as per the hotel name), an attentive staff to greet you and attend to all your needs, and rooms that are what one expects from a well appointed, modern hotel, providing clenliness and comfort. The great location is emphasised by the hotel's proximity to one of Singapore's newest shopping centres, The Ion, where you can be confident of finding most of the city's top shopping outlets. The hotel also provides transfers to the Singapore zoo, and to and from the airport. As a hotel for myself the next time I visit, or as a recommendation to friends, I won't hesitate to use or recommend the Royal Plaza On Scotts Hotel.

when i'm in singapore, whether on business pleasure, i stay at royal plaza on scotts. it's a stone's throw away from fantastic shopping at orchard road. the rooms are spacious and clean with a large flat screen tv and a nespresso coffee machine to boot! everything inside the minibar is free as well and these get replenished every morning. nothing beats cold water, soda or juice after a long day of sightseeing and shopping! bathroom is spacious as well with a tub and huge shower head. the breakfast buffet at carousel is not to be missed. don't forget to try the dimsum! as long as they don't increase prices and keep up their excellent service and facilities, royal plaza on scotts will always have my business.

good location and friendly staff”

royal plaza on scotts is a classic stayer in the singaporean world of hospitality. was there 15 years ago, and since renovation it has improved a lot. we stayed at the "club" floor, with free flow of drinks and high tea, cocktail aperitive hour and free minibar. skilled staff and very helpful. the breakfast on the 1st floor is that impressive, i cannot describe, you should try yourself. however the only negative point was not in the hotel, but in travel agency agode : they don't mention that royal plaza on scotts is the first non smoking hotel in singapore. agode states only by booking , and demand for a smoking room : " depens on availability" , so better state this restriction on the text about this hotel on the agode website. if i knew before, i could live with it, and will respect it, but this was a negative surprise, for witch the hotel is not responsible.

Great hotel!”

I moved to the Royal Plaza on Scotts from a similarly priced Orchard Road hotel, which was dingy and disappointing, with dripping faucets, poor service and and I had to pay (a lot) extra for internet service. The Royal Plaza erased that memory immediately. The room was elegant, comfortable and well equipped. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Wireless internet was free with my reservation. And the location can't be beat. I was initially worried that the construction might be a problem, but I wasn't bothered by any noise. The only way I knew it was going on was that the hallway was covered in a drop cloth during the day. I will stay here again when I come to Singapore.

in my business, traveling back and forth to singapore and malaysia was quite often. i have to prepare my plan for the best place to stay. one of my choose was the royal plaza on scotts hotel in singapore. placed near the orchard mrt station and shopping area, this hotel was one of my favorite hotel to stay during my business trip. this luxurious designed hotel has provided me not only the ease for accessing business places but also to indulge my pleasure in its nice dining places and facilities. served with great attitude, this hotel definitely one of your perfect choice to stay for business and leisure.

I always keep coming back”

I've stayed in a few different hotels during my visits to Singapore. But I keep coming back to Royal Plaza on Scotts. I just love this place. It's very central and so very near to the MRT and there's a bus stop just outside the hotel. It's walking distance to Orchard and ION mall which has a great food court and plenty of restaurants. But most of all, I love the people working in this hotel. I normally stay in the Club room either on level 14 or 15. The people that run the floors from the check in staff to the housekeeping are just super friendly and helpful. I love the club lounge which I spend a lot of time in. Really good, friendly service. The club rooms are superb. Beds are comfy and I can't get enough of the rain shower! I've never had so many baths in a day before!!! The food is also great. I had the daily breakfast and also a buffet dinner. Big selection of seafood, western and local goodies. The hot chocolate, was to die for! I'll keep coming back here for sure.

Great location and excellent service hotel”

Having stayed in several hotels in the Orchard Road area in Singapore, Royal Plaza On Scotts Hotel is the best for its excellent attentiveness and promptness in service. (1) We called housekeeping to check on the TV remote control which was not working well and within minutes, a replacement remote control was delivered. (2) We reported that the room door security chain lock was broken and less than five minutes, a workman came to fix it. (3) We asked for face towels and again, they were delivered within minutes. We are indeed delighted with the swift attention given by hotel staff to the calls for service. All staff are very friendly and courteous. Also, the free internet service and minibar are just fantastic!! We will certainly come back to stay in this hotel and will recommend our families, friends and associates to do so. No wonder this Hotel was voted "Best Independent Hotel" for consecutive five years....Take a look at the trophies in the hotel lobby.....Great Achievement!!!

Tricky booking, but worth the attention.”

Rooms are not 33 Sq. Meters as advertised. Only the corner rooms are. Standard rooms are well complemented, but hardly any space. You can either work, or eat, but not both. On this trip I had medicals scheduled. So I needed to stay in the room. The staff was helpful and changed me to a corner room for an extra SG$ 20. Rates on the Hotel website are steeper than on Agoda, but you may not get the upgrade to a corner room. Far East Plaza is just across the street and connected by a walkway, Shaw Center is just one building away on Orchard Road intersection. Take the tunnel across the road to Tang Plaza, the Lucky Plaza is next, and you are in Mt. Elizabeth and Paragon. That's where the medics are. I ordered most of my meals to room service. The sandwiches were huge and other portions were enough for two persons. The rates are pricey, but, not when you see the food and the presentation. They have the family in mind, and the portions are family style. Delivery and service was excellent. The lobby is always bustling, lots of young people crowd to the Thai restaurant at the entrance. A major bus stand is right in front of the hotel. I could do all I needed, on foot. The concierge is well staffed and helpful. I am going back to the Royal Plaza on Scotts next week. But perhaps not booking through Agoda since I shall be hunting for a corner room. I am seeing an Oncologist next trip. This place is much more convenient compared to The Elizabeth or York Hotel.

Nice hotel and great location”

this is the second time stay in the hotel due to its good location to the shopping heaven, orchard road. staff are friendly, room is big and clean, nice food at the restaurant. the hotel kept all my previous record and give me an express check-in. the room was automatically upgrade (without being ask) just because i am a repeat customer. i specially like the coffee making machine that able to make expresso. i can't stop but drinking 4 coffee in the room daily. my next trip to singapore, royal plaza on scotts hotel definitely my first choice.

perfect with little surprises”

after researching for 2 week for a hotel to stay close to orchard road i decided to stay in royal plaza on scotts due to its good reviews and fair price -compared to other hotels in orchard the service was top notch, the hotel is smaller compared to other hotels in orchard therefore people to help you with everything is always available location was good, not really along orchard but you got a mall on your left and right and a 24 hr starbucks and mcdonalds in front the wifi and complimentary mini bar is a super plus, you dont get that in other hoteks

Fantastic hotel with great staff and facilities”

My wife and I stayed here for three nights and was immediately impressed by the beautiful foyer. This definately set the tone for the rest of our stay. The front office staff were extemely professional and friendly and our check in was very quick. The porters too where really friendly. The rooms where large and well facilitated with a comfortable king bed, large shower, ironing board and iron, inroom safe, large desk and comfortable office chair, tea/coffee facilities and large lcd tv. The room came with free mini bar (2 beers, 2 soft drinks, 2 bottles of water, packet of biscuits and several small milk pods) and a Nespresso machine with 6 coffee pods which were restocked every day. Free wifi throughout the hotel was a big plus for us also. There is a decent sized swimming pool with plenty of deck chairs which we used every evening to combat the Singaporean heat. The location is fantastic as it is just a stone's throw away from Orchard Road and the MRT (although we had not waited any longer than two minutes for taxi's at the hotel). Overall, we could not fault our stay at Royal Plaza on Scotts. We will definately stay here again and will definately recommend it others.

Royal Plaza on Scotts (July 30 - August 2, 2009)”

My wife and i stayed at the Royal Plaza on Scotts on July 30 to August 2, 2009 to celebrate my birthday. We were booked on the club floor and the room size was just perfect for us and the cleanliness was pristine. Bathroom was likewise spotless and quite big with separate shower and bath that has a huge glass window with a view of the room. The bed was huge and comfortable and we didn't even have to request for extra pillows anymore as they already had some in the room inside the closets. All the mandatory amenities we're there such as electronic safe and mini-bar, which was restocked daily (FOR FREE) with some drinks (soda, water, beer & juice). I think the free mini bar stuff is given for club floor accommodations, not sure though. It is in a great location right in the heart of Singapore's shopping mecca (Orchard road area) with easy access to public transportation (taxi stand right outside the hotel and mtr station within 3-5 minute walking distance). There is a duty free shop right beside the hotel, starbucks, mcdonalds and grocery a stones throw away. The food was very good. Since we were booked on the club floor we had the option to have our complementary buffet breakfast on the club floor cafe or the main restaurant downstairs. Both buffet's were excellent and has various types of cuisines with enough choices for anybody. The service on the club floor dining area was more personal. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and privacy there, however the main restaurant buffet had more food choices. Staff service at the hotel was commendable. It took only 5 minutes for us to get checked-in and another 2 minutes for our bags to be brought to the room. They were very friendly and welcoming. Especially the staff on the main restaurant at the lobby. I even forgot and left my laptop charger there when we checked out, They sent it back to me (in the Philippines) within a few days, although i had to pay for the shipping, which was okay. Best hotel I've ever stayed at in Singapore”

i have been going in & out of singapore for many years and this was the 1st time we stayed at royal plaza. i was thoroughly impressed from the minute i set foot on the main lobby all the way till check-out. the lobby was filled with a soothing vanilla fragrance. staff was not only friendly but was extra attentive and helpful. rooms were clean, adequately spacious and i don't think any other hotel offers free wired and wireless internet access. our room also came with a free minibar. the location of the hotel is the best amongst the hotels i stayed in around the orchard rd. area as it is close to the more interesting shopping places like the ion orchard, wheelock place, isetan, wisma atria, mandarin gallery, takashimaya, and the underground shopping arcades. most of these malls have food courts that serve a variety of asian and western cuisine at very reasonable prices. another plus is its close proximity to the mrt and bus stations as well as the far east plaza where there is a money exchange outlet with one of the best exchange rates for us dollars or philippine pesos. there is also a 24-hour starbucks, a kfc, and mcdonald's outlet nearby. one last thing, we noticed the numerous awards the hotel received over the years displayed at the lobby. we now know for a fact that each one of those awards were truly well-deserved!

Modern international hotel near Orchard Road”

The Royal Plaza on Scotts hotel is the must hotel to go to. Can't imagine going anywhere else. I love the location, it's on Scotts Road and yes that's next to Orchard Road. The hotel staff especially the doormen - they care and remember every detail ! They restock the complimentary mini-bar and nespresso capsules - yes there is nespresso coffee machine in the room. The nonsmoking hotel room is spacious and modern, with a large LCD TV. Internet is fast too ! The bathroom is clean with lovely toiletries. we just had to extend our stay !

Excellent location, customer service, huge rooms”

we were originally meant to stay a total of 2 nights here at the conclusion of our south east asia trip however due to an airline completely messing us around we did arrive one day late and stay a total of one night. as soon as we arrived the staff were very welcoming making sure to assist us and to our surprise we were up graded due to our circumstances and what had gone on the day before. we were placed into the royal club floor and the rooms were amazing, huge rooms with complementary bar fridge and nespresso machines in the room. they really know how to welcome travellers. the hotel assisted in booking our trip to the zoo and to have breakfast with the orang utans and so on we were happy with everything and the door man are a good laugh always have a smile on their faces. thank you royal plaza on scotts hotel for such great customer service and really making the stay a 5 star one. i would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling for any purpose you will not be disappointed.
