A Very friendly hotel”
Thge Royal Princess Larn Luang is a real find. The hotel offers large airy rooms that feel and smell very fresh. It is a little away from most of Bangkok's action but is only a short taxi ride for the most part. It's worth the ride just for the quiet the hotel offers at night. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. They are more than just friendly, they are very welcoming. Keep and eye out for the Siamese twins at the front desk. They have a lot of fun confusing the guests.

Excellent Hotel!”
The Royal Princess is located 30 minutes walking distance to Khaosan Rd. It is very modern and for the hotels that I've enjoyed in Bangkok it's by far the best. As soon as you enter the large lobby you realize that this place is going to be nice. The staff was extremely helpful organizing transportation and answering questions relating to Bangkok. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The bathrooms are large and include a tub. I enjoyed the swimming pool with is its lounge chairs and covered day beds. For the price this place is such a bargain! We would definitely stay there again.

Very loverly hotel, wonderful service and location”
Well situated hotel with very friendly staff. The room were of a good size and very clean. Good size bathrooms with baths and showers. The Beer garden had 2 musicians who were very entertaining and had the clients participating. Though we only stayed one night we were in Bangkok 2 weeks prior staying at another hotel which we didn't like and we would walk down to the Royal Princess every night(4 in all) to eat and enjoy the Beer Garden.

VERY COMFORTABLE ROOMS AND MOST ENJOYABLE STAY”
MY STAY AT THE ROYAL PRINCESS LARN LUANG HOTEL WAS EXCELLENT.

nice hotel w/ awesome pool and location”
Really enjoyed my stay at The Royal Princess. It's a fairly classy hotel that has been remodeled and kept in good condition. Good location close enough to walk to Khao San if you want to, but far enough that you can totally avoid it if you want (which I did). Also close to some incredible restaurants (including Jay Fai and Krua Apsorn). Cons: Pool closes at 9pm, they charge you for wifi and the restaurant/bar is overpriced for what you get.

Brilliant”
To be honest I was baffled. Some of the reviews said it was tired, wasn't a four star, poor facilities.... We thought the taxi driver had the wrong hotel as we arrived and the bell-man opened our door. Check in was easy. The pool was great to swim (I mean big enough - obviously pools are for swimming). There were plenty of loungers around for sun bathing. I did the insanity workout in the gym on my iPad and I was the only one in there. The staff were helpful, hotel was spotless and I would genuinely say we will come here again and tell all our friends. Only trade off is there isn't an easy restaurant to walk to. There is a 7-11 across the street but it closes about 4pm! But it wasn't a problem for us and the restaurant wasn't too badly priced. The wifi is strong in the room. You get an hour free and can pay for more. We debated the virtues of this as a couple. My fiancée is an avid googler and had a small period of adjustment....but if you're savvy, disciplined and log in and out every time you finish the specific task, download emails and read off line etc, then we found we could get by. One final comment is about the taxi to the airport. They charge you a fixed price of 500bht. This was mentioned in several reviews as somekind of conspiracy! Well it costs the driver 100bht each way in tolls and takes 45 mins to an hour depending on traffic. We had to sort our visa a few days before so made the same trip having hailed a metered taxi and then had to barter a price as meters are for trips within central Bangkok and they wanted to charge 600 bht. We got it for 500 in the end but then booked with the hotel for our 6am departure to save the hassle - taxi was there waiting for us and the bell-man carried our bags!! Thanks for a great experience.

A Great Experience”
We had a wonderful experience at the Royal Princess and liked it so much the first time, we came back on the second leg of our trip. It felt like we were returning home! Great rooms with a view, pool, a small gym, numerous restaurants inside the hotel, friendly and helpful staff. They have a tourism stand that will help you arrange anything you want and order taxis for you that pull up to the front door. It was great, we will definitely return.

Larn Luang Princess”
This was a return trip to Larn Luang following a trip to the Andaman Coast. Staff remembered us and were very welcoming. Got a superior room for our one night's stay. Although the hotel is not in the centre of things, there are always taxis outside and cost to Siam City/ shops is negligible. The hotel sprang from an independant colonial hotel, and still has that air of faded elegance in the lobby. We didn't try either of the restaurants ( Italian/ Chinese) but these are renowned. Asa we found a friendly taxi driver with a big vehicle we booked him for our return to the airport- was much better than ad hoc cab or hotel limo (which is very comfy but twice the price). Would probably stay nearer transport or main shopping areas next time, although AGODA price was good for what we got.

Very nice hotel but not the best location”
the royal princess is a beautiful hotel with helpful, friendly staff and very spacious rooms, but it is not the most conveniently located in terms of things within walking distance. it was easy to get cabs and tuk-tuks to the various sights, but when my fiance and i wanted something to eat we had to walk way further than we'd hoped to get a decent meal. depending on the time of day there was street food available, but not always, and there were no restaurants around except for the ones in the hotel. the room was great, although the mattress was very hard. the room had a western-style toilet, a nice shower, ac, an in-room safe, and a tv with some english channels. the only annoying thing was that there was a telephone in the hallway (or maybe in the room next door? it was hard to tell) that literally rang non-stop starting at about 6:30 in the morning until we went out around 10am. very sleep-interruptive. the staff spoke good english and were eager to be helpful, but be aware that they are very keen to send you to places where they get a cut of any sales that might happen. we were strongly pressured to go to some jewelry store, and when we asked for a taxi the employee helping us first tried to put us into a "complimentary mercedes" to take us to the jewelry place, then into an unmetered taxi (don't go in these, they're a rip-off), and he finally got us a proper, metered cab after we made it very clear that we were not interested in buying gems. our reservation did not include breakfast, but we had it one day and it was quite good. a nice selection of western and asian choices.

A beautiful hotel with 5 star treatment.”
A great place to stay which is central to many tourist sites close by. Initial perception of the hotel on arrival was "wow". The reception area is vast, beautifully decorated and the staff were extremely pleasant and professional. The room was spacious although the view could have been better and the bathroom was okay but needs modernising. The hotel has 3 restaurents although we only ate at the Princess Cafe - food is exceptional and service was top notch. I would reccommend the Pad Thai or the pan fried Salmon. The hotel also produces its own biscuits which were delicious. The lobby bar staff were brilliant and the lady on the piano very good. There was a wedding on also whilst0 we were here and the staff seemed to go out of their way to ensure it all went well - the staff were always smiling and courteous. We stayed here for 4 days and shall be returning again in December to spend a few more days before flying back to the UK.

The Royal Princess Lang Luang Hotel Bangkok”
The Royal Princess is a little gem for good service, cleanliness & nice food(great hamburgers nice & petite). This hotel has a air of understated elegants.Me thinks the Thai Royal Court hangs out there. We saw the Crown Prince going to a dinner at the hotel. Its far from luxury but as good feel although there is no skytrain nearby its in a great part of the city.

Pleasant stay - large rooms”
Rooms were impressive after Hongkong. They are very large with nice view (depending on side of hotel you are located to). Royal princess keeps the service standard very well. Breakfast better than in many average hotels. Hotel is close to tourist attractions, which makes is ideal for visiting Grand Palace, Sanam Luang, Golden mountain etc. However, this area has more government administrative buildings around. So, taxi is regularly needed to access shopping areas or other parts of Bangkok. Taxi to MBK shopping mall / skytrain station takes 20 minutes.

nice hotel, helpful staff”
I stayed at the royal princess for 12 nights, rooms every clean, helpful staff, wide hallways, maybe breakfast could be upgraded a bit, but still good food, I would stay here again, nice hotel.

No free wifi had to pay extra. Very big.”
Our stay in the royal princess was very pleasant but we were very disappointed that you had to pay for the wifi we have stayed in cheaper hotels that have given guests free wifi. The swimming pool was lovely but doesn't get much sun light.

Royal Princess Larn Luang”
The Royal Princess is a historic hotel that is well maintained given it's age. Friendly staff and good service, but expect bathrooms to be functional rather than ultra-modern. It has three renowned restaurants, although the cafe's food was a little disappointing. This is a good hotl to rest your head and use as a base, provided you book the shuttle service they operate to the shopping centres.

nice hotel, great buffet breakfast”
this is a lovely hotel, which is no real suprise because it is part of the dusit chain. the royal palace is walking distance, and khaosan road about 1.6 km away. the buffet breakfast is excellent. if you can get a last minute deal on this hotel, that makes it better value still. there is however no bts or mts handy.

Great Hotel”
The hotel is very very nice, the staff was friendly ready to help at any moment, would call cabs right away and always had a smile on their face. The room was very large with two comfy double beds with soft pillows and clean sheets. The bathroom was also very clean with a shower and bathtub. A nice quiet hotel in a quieter part of Bangkok away from the crazy scenes like Khao San Road, yet a very cheap can ride only about 30-40 baht. I would recommend this hotel who want to relax, you also get a complimentary drink when you check in (non-alcoholic). No free breakfast though which was a con.

Spacious room with good front desk staff”
The hotel room was spacious and clean and situated near offices. However, the room hotel is bit rundown and it need to be refurbished. Near the hotel there is a night and day market which sell local products such as food, fruits and vegetables. Easy access to taxis as the hotel is located besides main road of Larn Luang.

Pleasurable”
This is the second time I have stayed at the Royal Princess, its in a good location (short tuktuk ride away from most attractions) and all the taxi drivers and tuktuk drivers know the hotel. For value for money this hotel is great.
