Had an amazing time!”
my husband and i and our 2 small children stayed at the samui boat lagoon from april 7-14, 2011 shortly after the news about flooding in koh samui. i am so glad and thankful that we went. we had an amazing time in the 2 bedroom villa with our own private pool. the place was clean and perfect for a family who wanted to enjoy a nice week in the sun (we had great weather by the way eventhough it was forecast rain for the entire week). the beach by the resort is not suitable for children because the water is about 2 meters deep but we had no issues with that since our kids enjoy the pool better. the villa's were very quiet and private and the staff was great at helping us with whatever we needed. there is no restaurant on the resort but there are many places close by to get food and a restaurant that delivers to the resort. with your own kitchenette and a convience store close by we were absolutely happy. there was also free wifi in your own villa which was a big bonus. thank you to everyone at samui for helping us have a great holiday. i will definitely recommend this place and would love to come back one day.

What an amazing place!”
We just came back from a week at Samui Boat Lagoon and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the location as it is far away from the main busy tourist area, it is a perfect and peaceful place to truly relax. The villa was very private, beautiful, stylish, well designed with a clean, spacious and luxury bedroom. The bathroom was massive with a great semi-outdoor rain shower. The fully equipped outdoor living area with kitchen facilities was a great place to chill out. The lovely private pool was just perfect for cooling off, the resort also had a stunning infinity pool. Although there is no restaurant at the resort, there are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. We would highly recommend hiring a scooter to get around the island The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel offers free transport from and to the airport and to the beach daily which was a real bonus. We would definitely recommend Samui Boat Lagoon and look forward to visiting again .

Gorgeous resort with generous sized private pool!”
we absolutely loved our stay at samui boat lagoon! the staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond our expectations to ensure we had an amazing holiday. the resort is located on one of the quieter beaches in samui, and so is ideal for a secluded get away. the resort provides a complimentary daily shuttle to the nearest swimming beach (many beaches in samui are not suitable for swimming). we barely left our villa, as we enjoyed the private pool and outdoor living area! the outdoor living area is great as you can watch movies whilst in the pool. whilst the resort does not itself have a restaurant, they outsource breakfast to an external caterer, and there is a local sports bar which delivers food all day long for a minimal delivery charge. outrigger resort next door also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. the staff will happily arrange taxi service into other areas of the island for you. we hired a taxi to go into chaweng for dinner one night and then hired it for 5 hours the next day to explore the island - perfect way to see all the sights.

Exceptional”
Fourth time in Samui and after staying at other venues, this is quite clearly the best. Your villa is very private and once the main doors are closed you have an amazing amount of space to yourselves. The bed is huge and immaculately maintained by the staff. The aircon is excellent and makes the room a real haven from the mid-day heat. The private pool is accompanied by a bath warm main pool, so your options are excellent for either private plunging or keep fit lengths. The staff are extremely attentive and always welcome you with a smile and warm greeting. You can take a Tuk Tuk from the main road which is five minutes away and travel the whole of the island, or rent a car or moped and travel at your own speed. There's a moped rental place at the entrance to the location (Not connected) and the rates are good with a grown up approach to fair wear and tear. (Always photograph the moped all over before you sign the agreement. It shows your switched on and saves any problems later). Samui Boat Lagoon also arranged our transfers to and from the airport with a driver meeting you as you exit the arrivals area. After several trips to Thailand as a couple, my wife and I always feel so relaxed after our stays here. Would I stay with them again? YES!

Spectacular Pool”
We only manage to stay 1 night at the Samui Boat Lagoon, but it's a spectacular stay. My emails are responded promptly by a manager Joakim. Airport pickup is a breeze. We stayed in a private pool villa. The in-villa pool is kinda small, but certainly sufficient to cool you off. The villa is brand new, furnitures are all well-appointed. I especially like the blue color tune. As we are leaving early next morning for a boat trip, the hotel has kindly agreed to switch the breakfast to our first day instead. They delivered the breakie to our villa in some plastic boxes, but was fine as we have all the eating utensils we need. It's fun laying out our own in-villa breakfast. We didn't stay much inside our villa pool but use the public pool instead. We had the whole pool to ourselves pretty much 90% of the time. The pool is VERY NICE! It will be great if they add a pool bar or some music to the pool area. Shuttles seems to operate twice daily to Cheong Mon. But we booked a spa which offer free transfer and we use it to access Chaweng. On our night, there's some power failure and all the villa are black-out. Luckily it's only for an hour or so, or else I wouldn't be able to charge my battery for the next day's activity!

Really nice pool villa accommodation”
this resort is very new and it is very clean. the hotel pool was beyond excellent. the staff were very fantastic. free round-trip airport transfer. massive bathroom, and large bedroom. comfortable beds (hard pillow, but livable) full sized fridge, microwave, 2 burner induction stove in our villa, as well as flat screen ~42" (32"?) tv and dvd player free extensive dvd collection to borrow beyond amazing shower. good towels (and 2 full sized towels per person per day, as standard) negatives: not the best location. everything is 300baht taxi away (or 400baht if you let the hotel agree on the price). you can tell construction was not very well in several ways, and i'm not sure how good the resort will be in 20 years, or even 10. but, for now its fantastic. the bathrooms are a bit weird, given that you shower outside... and there is nothing solid between the bathroom and the shower.... so, the bathroom has a roof... but 'nature' can easily get inside. our door between the bedroom and bathroom was crap, and not lockable (by design). thus, security was really low (as it was easy enough to get into the shower, then no barriers at all between the shower and the bedroom). regardless, we felt safe. crap toiletries. no restaurant at all. literally, none. from our pool villa it was an about 150m (along the beach or on the road (that often had puddles the entire width of the road) walk to a nice restaurant at the resort next door (outrigger). cost 936baht for two for breakfast. outrigger also organises around 4 daily activities for their guests (eg, beach frisbee, muay thai gym, backstreets tour, etc, etc, etc).... samui boat lagoon does not. no spa at all. most (pretty much all others :p?) high-end samui resorts have a spa, not samui boat lagoon. again, we went to outrigger and had a nice session there

Spacious villa in quiet area”
we enjoyed our recent long weekend at the samui boat lagoon with another couple. it was great to have a comfortable sitting area, our own pool and kitchenette. there is a local market and 7-11 to pick up food for breakfast/snacks. restaurants are further away, but we were in a very quiet area of koh samui. free airport transfer, only about 10 minutes from the airport. easy to get a taxi or share cab at the main road.

Beautiful villas, less than ideal beach”
I recently stayed at Samui Boat lagoon with 3 other in a 2 bedroom villa. The villa itself, was amazing. The pool was perfect for those quick dips on a hot afternoon or for just lazingly lounging while we were watching TV or listening to music. The common area, which is the sitting area, TV room, kitchen and dining area was ideal for our group. My only complaint regarding our accomodations was that the bed was a bit too firm. We ordered room service every day and some day more than once. I highly reccommend the massamum curry. We ordered the continental breakfast once which consisted of eggs, a smoked sausage, beans, and toast. This was my least favorite. Other wise the food menu and selection was great. We ventured out to the beach area which is near the hotel and found it to be less desirable of what we are used to which is Chewang and Bo Phut. The hotel offers a shuttle that takes you to Choeng Mon beach twice a day with return. Choeng Mon beach is smaller and much quieter and less active that Chewang beach but we decided to make the most of it by getting a few massages in between drinks while walking the beach. The driver was nice enough to stop by 7-11 on our return so that we could stock up. Their is a little store near the hotel that offers food, snack and cold beers and drinks. 7-11 is not a bad walk either and they, of course, have more. A cab ride to Chewang Beach usually ran us about 400 Baht for 4 ppl. The staff was super friendly and the cleaning staff were very accomodating and nice and always smiling. Overall, we enjoyed Samui Boat Lagoon and would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding value and outstanding experience”
samui boat lagoon has been our best ever resort experience. the villas are amazing, each with a pool, and incredible value for money. the service was lovely and the communal exercise pool a real bonus. the location is beautiful, with good sea access and a peaceful area. there is a great balance between tourism and the local village in this area so that it was easy to actually connect with local restaurants and service providers and get to know the locals a little. the temple (just across the road) was also a wonderful experience. a local massage service, noi-nar, comes highly recommended for caring and very cheap therapeutic massage. we would return with great enthusiasm.

Excellent as usual”
This was my 3rd time coming to Samui Boat Lagoon, but my first time staying in the 2 bedroom villa (previous visits have been in the standard 1 bedroom villa). As per my other visits, the staff were helpful and friendly, the resort and our rooms were kept extremely clean and the trip was a great chance to get away and relax. After coming here 3 times, I can confidently say that it will not be my last visit. I look forward to returning next time I have a chance to come to Thailand. Regards, Ryan

lovely hotel with friendly staff”
The Samui Boat Lagoon is a fantastic place for couples or groups of friends to stay in. With complete privacy in your own villa--comes with a small private pool--and full amenities, including a kitchenette for cooking. Large and clean bedroom and bathroom, with a separate pavillion for the kitchenette and living room. A short walk outside brings you to a couple of small local eating places (cheap food!) as well as the family mart and 7-11. Good for travellers who do not wish to do anything else but laze around and soak in the peace and privacy. The public infinity pool is clean and virtually unused--good for morning or late evening swims. Highly recommended as a restful and ultra-private vacation place.

Beautiful Villas”
After a horrible first night in Koh Samui we left our hotel and went to Samui Boat Lagoon to see if we could check in a day early. When we arrived the unfortunately didn't have any 1 bedroom villas free until the next day but we were dying to get out of our hotel so they gave us a 2 bedroom villa at the price of a 1 bedroom and even said don't worry about moving to your booked room you can stay in the 2 bedroom, brilliant! They were fantastic with driving us to our hotel for us to check out and go to theirs. We had been in Thailand for 2 weeks already and my partner decided it was the perfect place to propose!! Location was a bit out of the way but with family mart and seven eleven around the corner and drop off and pick up to choeng mon beach it was fine.

Great family Villas”
We will definitely be back. The Villas are spacious and comfortable. It was a great introduction to Samui for my family. While there is no restaurant there is still room service from an outside restaurant. It was quick and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. A special thanks to "Honey" who spoke very good english and made our stay a breeze. Car hire is quite cheap compared to other resorts and the Yaris we hired was only 1400 baht per day and very sporty. All in all Samui Boat Lagoon is well worth the stay.

Excellent Villas with friendly service!!!!”
My husband and I stayed at Samui Boat Lagoon in September 2011. Our Stay was beautiful. The hotel organized a motorbike for us to get around the island on which was very easy. We would definately go back. Our only negative was that there was no "mini-bar" as such. Two bottles of water were supplied when we arrived, but not replaced, and getting into Samui at night, we had to go out and get drinks (juice, soft drink etc) then. Being our only problem, I will recommend these villas to everyone!!!

Out of the way, but a beautiful private villa”
The Samui Boat Lagoon is exactly what it promised to be. The location left a bit to be desired, but everything else was spot on. Fantastic villa with great privacy and a lovely plunge pool. Everyone also has access to a beautiful swimming pool near the reception area. While I wouldn't want to spend my entire vacation on Samui at this hotel, I loved it nonetheless and will definitely be going back again.

Fabulous Deal!”
We really enjoyed our stay at Samui Boat Lagoon. The resort is relatively new & very nicely done. The staff are helpful & friendly. It was great having both a private pool to cool off in & also the option of the full size pool to swim laps in. There isn't a restaurant on the premises, but close by (10 mins walk) is a 7-11 where we bought food for breakfasts. (The rooms have a kitchen facility with toaster, microwave, etc). We ate meals at Fishermens Village in Bophut, & there is a huge selection of restauarants there.

Beautiful villa with excellent service”
When booking rooms on the internet, you never really know what you are going to get. The Samui Boat Lagoon, however, was no disappointment. Upon arrival, the staff was very pleasant and helpful and the facilities were beyond expectation. We will definitely recommend this place to all our friends.

Great Little Hideaway.....”
samui boat lagoon was a great find and offers terrific value for money for holiday-makers looking for a good standard of accommodation at a reasonable price. the 1-bedroom villa provided a large double bedroom with loads of storage space and a comfortable king-size bed, plus a huge bathroom with double glass sinks, large vanity unit and mirror and a western toilet. glass panels and door open to the outside but covered shower area with rain shower head and feature led lighting during operation, and tropical plants for further atmosphere. the plunge pool which measures approx 2.5 x 4m has steps into it plus a seating ledge, and at its deepest is around 1.5m max. pool water circulates via a feature waterfall effect with lighting at night and in the pool itself. the outside seating area has a small sofa plus single chair and coffee table for relaxing in front of the wall mounted lcd tv with dvd and ipod connection. the storage here also houses a laege fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle, and the kitchen unit has 2 burner hob plus sink. a good selection of cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment is also provided for use.

Remote and quiet luxary villas”
We loved our stay from the moment we arrived. The staff was very friendly and their knowledge of the english language was acceptable. The villa itself was spacious and clean. The pool was beautiful and the bathroom huge. The bedroom was very good with a comfortable bed. We really enjoyed the outdoor area with the sofa and tv. We filled the fridge with stuff from the local FamilyMart. The beach was nothing spectacular so we took advantage of the hotels free shuttle car to Choeng Mon beach (which was much better). We made our own breakfast since the hotel regrettably does not serve this. There are a couple of ok restaurants close by but no shopping to speak of. To eat and shop Chaweng is the place to be. To summarize, this hotel is perfect for quiet relaxation but not for eating and shopping. We will stay here again but only for the last portion of our stay at Koh Samui.
