Everything about this place was exceptional. Staff were super friendly and eager to help with all needs. They even recommended activities for us to do such as the walking street markets and tours. The hotel restaurant setting and food quality was more than expected. Overall Sanae Hotel was the best choice i made and so far my best experience i Chiang Mai.

what a spacious room!”

The best thing about the hotel is the space the room provides.It has a separate living area, kitchenette and dining table. The room felt cozy and we loved it. It is modern, chic and nicely decorated. Cons-- the bed was too hard for me, the pillow was not fluffy and the area of hotel is in the airplane path so now and then you hear airplanes passing by. Also, not all the staff can speak good english so there was an instance when we had a miscommunication about the price of the chartered jeep. The staff will recommend their own shuttle, the tuktuk or the red jeepney. But the best mode of transportation in terms of price, comfort and efficiency is by getting UBER rides. The staff does not encourage the use of uber probably because they are not familiar with the app. An uber ride from the hotel to Wat Prah Singh temple only cost 49 baht and we had a new airconditioned car with an english speaking driver. Nothing beats UBER in chiang mai. It was sad that it was only on the third day when we began using it. Wait time was at the most is 5 minutes. If you take the tuktuk , you have to haggle about the price. If you take red jeepney, it is uncomfortable with no airconditioning and you have to inhale smoke that it emits. The hotel shuttle will charge 200 baht for a 2 way ride nearby, I strongly advice the use of UBER Pros-- the hotel in a good location. it is near the main road which has a lot of shops and eateries., It is also near the MAya Lifestyle mall. We walked to Cafe de Nimman from the hotel ( 1.2 kilometers away) and we were surprised to see lots of cute shops and restaurants.The restaurant provides good food, juice and coffee All in all , we had a good time and would recommend it even with some faults

Spacious, clean and peaceful”

We arrived here feeling embarrassed as we were soaking wet from our motorbike ride in the rain but the friendly staff still welcomed us warmly and told us not to worry about dripping water everywhere and didn’t even want us to remove our shoes. The room, which was more like an apartment, was spotlessly clean, quiet and very spacious with a separate bedroom and living room. It had a small balcony overlooking the street. It’s not a major street so it doesn’t attract a lot of noise. The bedding was of high quality and we got a great nights’ sleep with the block-out curtains and huge comfortable bed. The TVs were easy to work and WiFi worked well. Excellent shower and bathroom facilities including large, good quality towels. There was a room safe and plenty of cupboard spac. A small kitchenette offered tea/coffee making facilities and a large, clean fridge with no annoying mini bar. Air-con worked well – in fact there was one in each room. Providing two TVs is an unnecessary overhead in our view. Breakfast was ordered from a menu at their next door cafe. You could select a Western or European style. There were lovely touches such as freshly squeezed juice served in a bottle lodged in a bucket of ice and coffee made to order. Strangely, when my husband’s enormous English breakfast arrived, it was entirely stone cold! We can’t imagine how that happened but it was quickly rectified by the very pleasant trainee waiter and both meals were excellent once sorted out (I chose the American Breakfast which came with a huge lettuce. I thought this a bit odd but started nibbling at it and couldn’t stop – it was so tasty!). We left for our flight but you could enjoy breakfast right up until 2pm if you so desired. The area was great and a part of Chiang Mai that we hadn’t explored before. We stayed in a suite at the Sanae. It was really impressive in every way. Lovely design and quality, new fittings. Lots of space. A very contemporary vibe in an area that's perfect for people who want to be close to lots of Chiang Mai action. Service was good. A lift to airport was provided at 5.15AM, cot bed, etc. A bit noisy from the nightspots until midnight being the only downside.

I give huge RESPECT to whoever designed the interiors of the rooms - top quality!! I could easily live here for months! Real attention to detail, great designer furniture, everything is tasteful, spotlessly clean, very well thought-out room layout, fantastic shower and bathroom, huge TV in living room. I'm currently working nights for 2 weeks (the blackout curtains were a bonus) and I knew Id be spending a lot of time in my room in CM so i took the time to find the right place. Sanae was without doubt a superb choice! Staff were all fine and professional from my experience (but they hardly saw me as I was sleeping all the daytime). Absolutely no hesitation to recommend Sanae hotel, great value too, I loved it!!

(one room was king bed and another room was double beds) The staff is very warm welcome and always have a big smile for you especially Nong Mam from receptionist and one of bell boy, I forgot to ask his name. He always there morning and night and greeting us all day long. The room was huge and feel comfortable to stay with 3 people. Room was excellent and clean. Prefect location, you can walk on foot to anywhere in Nimman Road. My only complaint was the bath towels are ripped and they are so old and worn. Overall I like the hotel and I would stay here again.

Excellent location”

Pro: excellent location. Walking distance to many cafes and restaurants and 10mins to one of the biggest mall, Maya, in Chiang Mai. I have booked for a junior suite. Room is very spacious and comfortable . Con: like other guests have mentioned in other reviews, towels and bed linen can be quite worn for a new hotel. If you are a light sleeper, wouldn’t recommend this hotel to you as you can beer plan flown by every now and then. There is only one lift servicing the whole hotel but you can choose to go by stairs as it’s only 7 storey high. There is no gym and a super small pool.

Fantastic ”

We are really happy with the room, it is clean and relaxing with perfect facility. Bonus there is a kitchen and washing machine! The staff are friendly and helped us to book a shuttle bus service to our next hotel. Highly recommend the Roasted Chicken restaurant next to the hotel, so delicious! We would love to stay here again for our next visit to Chiang Mai.

This is now our favourite hotel in Chiang Mai -- having stayed 4 or 5 times at least. Great location in Nimman with all it's restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping and spas a short stroll away. Good staff, great parking (underground), fabulous modern, perfectly maintained and comfortable suite. Good breakfast. We will return many more times hopefully. Great value for money

excellent hotel with only few min walk to shopping mall”

The hotel location is perfect for my work and it is very easy to get to food, cafe, shopping mall . All their staff are extremely friendly and very very helpful. Their breakfast is excellent, you can choose from one of the 4 or 5 sets. and their coffee is very nice. The only thing is the breakfast area is outdoor so it can be a bit hot sometimes. but the weather was fine when i was in Chiang Mai. I will be happy to stay there again.

Nice and spacious hotel”

Very clean and spacious room. This hotel is in a quiet alley which just a short walk from the main road. Which mean quiet sleep is guarantee. The room was spacious and clean. The staffs are friendly and helpful. There is a roasted chicken restaurant next to the Sanae Hotel which their roasted chicken is very tasty. Far better than the SP chicken at old city which my husband and I feels way overrated by tourists.Overall we are satisfy with our stay here. Will definitely back again future

Great Deal”

The room is very spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly. The location is also nice, which is close to Maya shopping mall. As other review suggested, the hotel is still under construction. So no swimming pool or breakfast. But there is Cafe close to the hotel, which is less than one minute walk. There is one point that the hotel may improve however. When I checked in, they asked me to put my credit card number in a sheet manually just in case anything breaks in the room and they need to charge the penalty. I will feel more comfortable to give my credit card and let them do pre-auth in their POS machine. At last, I gave them 1k Baht as deposit. All in all, it's been a pleasant experience to stay in this hotel. Definitely value for the money. : )

an amazing suite”

Such an amazing staff and suite, made our honeymoon stay in Chaing Mai perfect. Loved being walking distance from delicious coffee and food and our room was huge! Nice to have a full bathroom and washer after a long week traveling. Thank you Sanae hotel!

The hotel is very new and very clean. Every facilities in room are in good condition. The staff are helpful and friendly. We were walking out while thre were a little rain. The security guard offered us his umbrella. Overall very good hotel. We stayed at Veranda before coming here and Sanae has done us a good job. Would definitely come here again.

If you are looking to be in and around the trendy Nimman Rd. and away from the Old City, then this might be a great hotel for you. As it is within walking distance of Maya Shopping Center and lots of great hot spots in the area. Transportation options are readily available, if you prefer to venture off to the Old City for the day. Although, extremely friendly and accommodating I wouldn't say the staff spoke English. Also, when reading about wifi/internet and you need internet, be certain the hotel clearly states internet. This hotel only stated wifi; so they did it correctly, but I had no clue that there were no ethernet sockets in the rooms (no fault to hotel). It is a shared wifi; which can result in speeds from 2.52 download and .41 upload all the way up to 24.35 10.31 upload depending on the day and time.. These were my best and worst speed test results... I would always suggest setting up a vpn service; prior to or at arrival when traveling. There was an issue with hot-water; which had to wait the arrival of engineer to arrive to fix and even then it wasn't hot enough, but tolerable for my last two nights. King-size bed was EXTREMELY comfortable.. Wish I was able to take advantage of it more, but was traveling around too much to have enough bed rest; which I felt I needed after 24 hours of traveling to Thailand. I did see them working on what looked like a pool. Didn't seem quite big and mainly because they didn't have a lot of space to place it anywhere. It appears it will be setup almost as you would be driving into garage on the right.. Kind of small in size and hoping that it is separated somehow or better, just don't make it a pool and rather a nice garden with fish or some sort of sanctuary.. Too small to build and call a pool in my opinion; which doesn't appear will be complete until end of year. You can hear airplanes flying over-head, but that is just about every establishment around Nimman Rd., but you kind of get use to it. Room wa
