cozy and charming, a very nice hotel in Phuket”
located in kana beach, the sawasdee village resort & spa is a 4 stars hotel offering charm and comfort with an excellent service. the surrounding area is nothing special, as the most neighbourhoods of phuket touristic spots, souvenirs, small restaurants, groceries and massage, massage, massage (what is a + in thailand!). but the hotel is built in a very traditional form, mostly in wood and stone. and even if the surface is not very impressive, each corner has been designed to feel good, with a lot of green and plants. the pool is marvelous and it is a pleasure to rest here, the restaurant is certainly one of the best in kata beach, with an excellent buffet breakfast included in the price. the service if of a very high quality and all the staff is top level friendly and professionnal, a great pleasure to feel considered as a real guest in the hotel. each hour you have access to a bus to go to the marvelous public beach of kata (5 minutes by car, 10 by foot; no private space for the hotel, you have to pay your umbrella!!!) the weak point is the size of the room, small one compared with the standards of a 4 stars hotel in asia, and not appropriate for a long stay for a couple (they also have deluxe villas, but certainly much more expensive). but each room has a free wifi, and a very nice terrace, and a very good intimity thanks to the vegetation. sawasdee is certainly an excellent hotel, one of the best in kata beach, but for dollars a night, i thought to have a more comfortable and spacious room. nevertheless, i would recommand the hotel for couples, but not for families, nothing is organized fro the kids, and they wouldn't appreciate their stay.

Thailand Paradise”
Sawasdee Village is a beautifully designed boutique hotel situated within walking distance of Kata Beach. Away from the hustle and bustle that Patong Beach offers, Kata beach is a relaxed environment with spectacular views out into the ocean. For those who find the walk a little to far, or may simply want a bus ride back to the hotel after a long day sun-bathing, the hotel offers a very convenient hourly shuttle bus to and from the beach. The interior of the hotel is beautifully designed in traditional Thai style, with magnificent water features, pool setting and cabins. Upon arriving at Sawasdee Village, you may be greeted by the most friendly security guard in Thailand. His cheery smile and happy manner will leave you feeling uplifted every-time you depart or arrive back at the hotel. On the whole, the staff are very friendly, willing to help and accomodate all the needs of their visitors. The hotel is able to advise you on tourist day trips into the jungle for elephant rides and trips out to some of Phukets smaller islands. Sawasdee Village is truly a beautiful and relaxing place to stay while in Phuket. For those who want to be in more peaceful and clean environment than that offered by Patong Beach, it is certainly an advisable option.

Awesome stay at Sawasdee Village”
my spouse and i chanced upon sawasdee village while searching for a hotel to stay in phuket, after our plans for bangkok got scraped due to the flood. we stayed in a room that was at the corner of the resort. the room was relatively large and nicely decorated. the only one thing i would like to point out would be the funny smell whilst we were there, however you should be able to get use to it after a day or two. else you can always look for the friendly staffs who will attend to all your needs at any point in time. the garden setting in the resort makes it feel like a mini relaxing paradise for my spouse and i. the breakfast selection was relatively good, and more importantly, it tastes good too. the staffs are very hospitable and would always have a smile on the their faces whenever you see them. situated just 10 mins away from kata beach, it would be perfect for beach lovers. for people looking for a relaxing trip to phuket, sawasdee village would be just the right thing for you. thank you sawasdee for making my first ever phuket trip a memorable and enjoyable one.

Romantic, Peaceful, Wonderful”
Where do I start? Sawasdee Village is the jewel in the crown of Phuket accommodation. I cannot fault our stay, everything was perfect, romantic, peaceful and clean. Picture this... you arrive after a long flight and 30 minute taxi ride to a typical Thai Street, full of noise, colour, people, traffic, hustle and bustle. You enter the magnificent entrance to the village and are instantly transferred to another dimension full of amazing architecture and tropical gardens. The only sound is the trickle of fountains and the smells of flowers and lemongrass..... it is simply amazing. You could be a million miles from anywhere but you are only metres from the street! You are greeted warmly and efficiently, shown to your room and left to completely relax. The rooms are more than adequate, small but comfortable, clean and cosy. The beds are enormous, air conditioning modern and efficient and showers hot with lots of pressure. Housekeeping was first class and respectful of your privacy if required. Each staff member was friendly, approachable, caring and no request or question ignored. We were made to feel very special every day we were there. We simply did not want to leave. Some couples had small children with them which was fine but this resort caters for couples and I think older children would be bored. There are many 'family' resorts that would be more appropriate but for couples, you simply cannot fault Sawasdee. Everything Phuket has to offer is just outside the entrance with bars, restaurants, shopping and transport everywhere you look. If you want peace and quiet simply walk back inside... brilliant! 10/10

A hide away in the heart of Phuket”
WOW!When we initially booked our stay, we were very excited, it looked absolutely beautiful. When we arrived on December 15th, 2013(which happen to be my birthday)we were impressed right from the first sawasdee and welcome! Quick check-in, with a welcome drink & cold towels with essential oils. Once you enter the hotel surroundings, you hear water falls, see lush gardens, you immediately forget the busy streets that you took from the airport. The rooms are beautiful(as in photos, or better), kind staff. I received a cake from the staff for my birthday by the pool, very nice touch! Pool bar & room service, great selections and DELISH! The spa is amazing, I booked a facial, received a facial and a massage all in one! The restaurant absolutely amazing, the surroundings, staff and the FOOD, as they say in Thai:'A roi maak'!The presentation, the flavours, I could go on! We recommend the combo platters for dinner, great sample. We took a tour of their villas, absolute paradise. We only had time for one night this time at Sawasdee Village, however we can't wait to return! We have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. A great hide-away, very peaceful and it's quite small.Kob Khun Ka Sawasdee Village & staff for your unforgetable Thai hospitality, we can't wait to come back in the future.

A special resort with Thai's theme”
Sawasdee located at one of the quiet alley in Kata, suitable for those who would like to keep away from noise. Despite of that, it is still within a short walking distance to Kata beach. They do provide free shuttle bus service to Kata beach. The decoration and environment of this resort demonstrate a strong sense of Thai's theme. You will find a lot of sculptures, plants within this resort. Therefore, do expect some mosquitoes but don't really worry about that because this resort is so thoughtful that they have already prepared the repellant and spray inside your room. As long as you keep your door shut all the time, you should be fine with that. Our room was pretty clean and comfortable, every necessities that you need in a hotel, you name it, you got it. Extra things like DVD player and thumbdrive reader are provided too, do bring your own DVD or thumbdrive so you could watch movie inside the room if spare time is available. The only drawback during our stay was that the water supply from shower and basin occasionally get choked and not smooth. Their swimming pool is fantastic. Wifi signal is strong at every corner of this resort. Staffs were nice to us and always with smile on their face, this even applies to those security guards at the entrance of resort. Daily breakfast comes with variety of choices, some authentic Thai's cuisines like creamy red and green curry are available too in breakfast buffet. This definitely worth the value and if you would like to experience the sense of Thai, do not hesitate to stay at Sawasdee.

Paradise in Kata”
Sawasdee Village is an amazing place to stay a piece of paradise in the middle of Kata. Once you walk through the entrance it is truly enchanted with soft music and the sound of many water features it is hard to believe that you are in the heart of Kata. The staff are extremely helpful and ensure that they get to know your every need especially at breakfast. Being a small resort it is more intimate and has a very relaxed feeling around the pool. The rooms are comfortable and I loved the mosquito net. Free internet and PCs in each room is also a bonus. On the last night I upgraded to the Baray Villa and highly recommend this as it is an experience made even better by M who provided oustanding service. While there also make the most of the Baray Spa

Beautiful hotel that surpassed expectations”
My husband and I stayed at Sawasdee Village in November 2010 and we were extrememly impressed. The staff provided a level of service that I had not experienced before, they were so friendly and helpful and every single staff member you came across greeted you warmly (even if you were passing them on the footpaths). The room was very comfortable, and had a very traditional Thai feel to it. If definatley lived up to our expectations, as we specifically chose Sawasdee Village because we really wanted a traditional Thai feeling hotel for our first trip to Phuket. A lovely touch to the room was the sitting area at the entrance that included coushins, candles, beautiful plants and a fish pond right out front. The staff would come and light mosquito coils for you in the afternoon as well. The included breakfast was great too. The restaurant area is so well designed and like everywhere in the village, had a very authentic Thai feel to it. There was a good selection and we especially liked the egg station. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner and found the food, service and ambience absolutely fantastic. The pool area is beautifully designed too. We loved the pool bar and found the staff there very friendly and helpful -Happy hour in the gorgeous surroundings sipping on a cocktail was pretty much heaven! I really can't rave enough about Sawasdee Village, the location is also perfect, only 10mins walk from Kata Beach and everything you need is right nearby.

Paradise at Sawadee Village”
Sawadee Village Resort exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful, romantic, serene and I felt so good every time I returned to it after a long day. The decor was gorgeous with lots of trees, waterfalls and balinese style outdoor furniture. It made the whole place so mystical and zen-like. The pool was also beautiful with a soft flowing waterfall by the swim up bar. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. Our check in was a breeze and the reception area was small but also well decorated. Or (the staff) actually walked us to our room and introduced every feature in the room to us, very impressive. The room was cozy and there was free internet. It also looked very inviting and I just loved the decor. The only thing I didn't like was the shower stall design. The water was to run through the slates of wood on the floor but there was no barrier between the stall and the rest of the bathroom so the water kept flowing out, thus causing a mini flood. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed the place. The breakfast was hearty and delicious but eating it 3 days in a row made me kinda sick of it. The restuarant staff was once again very courteous and brought our eggs to us eventhough it was a buffet style spread. Sawadee is a quiet resort perfect for couples and far enough from the hustle bustle. It was abt 10 mins walk away from the main action of Kata Beach. There's also a shuttle from the resort to the beach on the hour every hour. There are several massage places outside but we went to this one every day. It is called Sabai and they wear the blue and fuschia t-shirts. I will definitely recommend that everyone goes to this unique and beautiful resort, unlike the other generic modern type ones. I will also stay there again when I go back to Phuket!

Graet stay at Sawasdee Village”
I came alone for 4 days from Singapore to visit Phuket and choosed to stay at Sawasdee Village in Kata, without special expectations. This was the right choice. I was surprised to find a very nice room and a very nice place: all in authentic thai style, not too big ressort, but lovely. The room is equiped with a computer connected in Internet any time. The service is good, and the spa is one of the best I ever tried. The beach of Kata is 5 minutes walking distance, and I like much more Kata than Patong. Sawasdee: Highly recommended.

Kata Beach”
The Sawasdee Village Hotel is a beautiful place to stay, we all really enjoyed our time there. Our children (teenagers) thoroughly enjoyed the pool. While our room was a little small it was beautifully appointed. The Spa & massages in the hotel are expensive, in the street outside there are lots of alternatives or you can have a massage on the beach. For good restaurant take a taxi up to the Kata Beach retail/ restaurant area just ask to go to Dino’s – around here there a lots of good places to eat and interesting shopping. A

What a great place to stay”
We were with a group and had 4 garden rooms. The atmosphere was exceptional as soon as you enter the Village. The hospitality was second to none. The Sawasdee Village was even better seeing it in person rather than looking at the facilities on the website. We decided to upgrade to the Baray Villas for the last 2 nights of our stay. The experience was awesome. I would personally reccommend Sawasdee Village to anyone. It makes alot of other hotels look very ordinary around the Kata area. We cant wait to stay here again...

GREAT PLACE FOR HOLIDAY”
We had a wonderful stay at Sawasdee Village Hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast in hotel resaturant was apsolutly great (fresh fruits and juices, "show cooking", home made jams, ham and eggs, good coffe...). Shattle bus to Kata beach and back saved us from long walk. Swimming pool and coctail bar nearby were a nice place to rest and catch some sun. In Hotel SPA we had a beautiful and relaxing afternoon. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was excellent. Overall rate - excellent value for money!

Exquisite hotel in great location”
Sawasdee Hotel is incredible and fully deserves its status within the top 50 hotels in Phuket. Inside the hotel grounds, it's like being in a different area altogether as the decor creates an atmosphere and ambience totally removed from the tourist areas outside. The staff are extremely respectful and courteous, and even cleaners and security will always say, "Good morning." The staff in reception, the restaurant, and the spa, are all very friendly and kind. The restaurant offers a great selection of food and drink at reasonable prices. The spa is also incredible, and you'll feel like a new person after being pummeled for a few hours. The location is good - you just have to walk 10/15 minutes to the beach, which is beautiful and not overly crowded (a pleasant surprise). The area seems dominantly Scandinavian, and there are a lot of different European groups to meet on the beach. The hotel also offers tours, such as the Phuket Island Hopper tour, which are very enjoyable experiences. Definitely recommended, and I'll certainly stay here again.

The most incredible resort I have ever seen”
We started our stay off in the Sawasdee village area, the room are small yet quaint. Well designed, pool outside the room is nice, swim up bar, comfortable bed, TV that's connected to the internet. We had the opportunity to go check out the Baray Villas and were awe stuck. They were throwing a promotion and the rate was a little cheaper than usual. Being that we were on our honeymoon it seemed fitting for us to upgrade after the first night in the village. The villa is the nicest places We've ever seen and or stayed at and my wife and I have been to over 33 countries scattered throughout the world. Image the best room that you have seen in Vegas and multiple it by 10. It's two stories of meticulous design probably 2000 sq feet, huge comfortable bed, awesome shower, you can swim to the pool directly from your room just open the doors from your mini-jacuzzi area. Not only is it well designed, everyone that we met was incredibly nice to us, food in their restaurant was great, and the spa service was ridiculous we both managed to fall asleep towards the end unfortunately.

taste of paradise”
We stayed at the Sawasdee Village for a few nights after traveling around in Thailand for a couple of weeks. It is 10 min from Kata beach, but we ended up spending all of our time at the hotel. The hotel is gorgeous. Lots of little nooks to explore and hide. Very romantic and quiet. We were there with a child (they have a kids pool), but we did not see any other children there during our stay. Our room had a king size bed and was beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to our friends when they visit Phuket.

Can't be better”
We enjoyed our stay at the Sawasdee Village very much. The room, the swimming pool, the garden, etc. everything is so beautiful. Even the library was very impressive. But, the Barray Spa tops it all. It was one one the best spa treatment I had. High ceiling with a golden dome for the private room. When the lights are deemed, the stars around the dome ceiling lit up. The private room also had its own outdoor cold water pool and shower next to the steam bath. In the middle of the spa treatment, we even get to enjoy an intercession snack, fruit, and tea. The spa staff were very attentive to little details and privacy of the guests. We ended up using 3 sets of clean towels for our session. The free computer with internet connection in the room and 4 bottles of complimentary drinking water everyday.... Love it. BTW, if you get the chance, do ask for a tour of the villa. It is just another surprise you will find.

Beautiful”
Beautiful hotel. Gardens throughout. Nice pool. Fish ponds, bridges. Very picture-worthy. One of the most visually pleasing hotels I've ever stayed at. Good Thai dishes with wide selection at on-site restaurant (also very scenic). Western dishes also available, but didn't try. Room (Garden view) is simple: large comfortable bed, computer/television with free internet access. Nice porch area with table/chairs overlooking the garden areas. Have free shuttle to beach, or can walk there in ~10 minutes. Didn't sample the on-site spa. which was very high end/pricey. Regular Thai massage parlors available all up and down the street for a cheap alternative. Cheaper places are available in Kata area, but would definitely stay at Sawasdee Village again: very relaxing, scenic setting makes it a good value for the money.
