Village like accommodation with a rustic touch ”

Resort is located conveniently about 15 to 20mins away from Koh Samui international airport. Ideal for couples whom are seeking a romantic and secluded retreat as the resort is also situated away from the hustle and bustle of the Koh Samui town centre. With the beach just beside the resort's famous restaurant, diners can have a spectacular view while enjoying their meals. The rooms at the resort have a nature eco friendly theme which we felt gave our room a cosy and homely feel. The resort also offers cooking lessons on a one to one basis for which we had enrolled and immensely enjoyed ourselves as the chef teaching us was so informative and cheerful. Overall our stay at the sea dance resort was superb. Would stay at the sea dance resort again during our next visit to Koh Samui!

Lovely 20th Anniversary Destination”

We chose Sea Dance as the resort for our stay on Koh Samui to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. It was a great choice! The resort is intimate, peaceful and quiet, just what we were wanting. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making every effort to ensure the tour stay was comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in Villa #2, which has a sea view. It had a decent amount of privacy, a nice personal pool and an area to lay out. The villas have nice quality finishes and attention to detail. We loved the combination of concrete and exotic hardwoods, the trey ceiling with dim-able lights, lights under the bed mount and the open shower. We also loved the location of this resort. It is off the tourist track, away from the hustle and bustle of the other busy beach resorts. There is only one other resort which shares the common beach. The resort was easily accessible from a short walk down the road or via motorbike. We ended up renting a motorbike for 4 days and using it to get around to the busier beaches if we wanted that experience. The breakfasts each morning were really good; a nice assortment of typical breakfast foods and made-to-order eggs, pancakes or Asian breakfast. We ate one night at the restaurant. The foods was very good, but expensive compared to what was available down the road. We only ate at the restaurant one night and rest of the time we either walked down the road or took a rented motorbike into Choeng Mon to have dinner. The only thing about the resort which we wish was different was the beach. It is not a beach suitable for swimming, which we really enjoy. There is simply too much coral. However, it was nice for walking and collecting sea shells, coral and sea glass. We opted to rent a motor bike and chose to visit a few of the other beaches to be able to enjoy swimming in the warm water. Mae Nam beach was our favorite and we highly recommend a visit if you want a beautiful beach where you can swim. We would certainly return to Sea D

Flawless”

The search for a place in Koh Samui should begin & END with Sea Dance. This resort is gorgeous, quaint & intimate & set away from some of the chaos of the island. Additionally, the rooms are TOO cool. You have your own 'round', stand-alone villa with an outdoor shower & toilet. Beyond that, the service is outstanding. The staff immediately learns your name & goes above & beyond to assure you have a memorable getaway. The pool with swim up bar is lovely & the waterfront setting is breathtaking. There are kayaks & SUP to utilize. The daily breakfast is fresh & delicious & on Wednesdays there is a complimentary happy hour with band that we were lucky enough to join. Rory, the resort owner, joined the festivities & he couldn't have been kinder & more accommodating. I travel a lot & this was far & away one of the best resorts I've ever stayed at-- across the board.

Great stay at Sea Dance. Got a great price on a Sea Dance ocean front room with private pool. We could have hung out at the resort entire time and been happy but had some friends in town who showed us the island. Great place to return to after a day out. Room was comfortable and well equipped with private pool and patio area and a great view of the surf which was also great to listen to and wake up to. Daily breakfast had both a made to order menu and continental buffet with good selection of fruits. yogurt, cereal, juices and breads. The bread was great as was the made to order breakfast. We also enjoyed drinks in dining area which offers great ocean views and had daily 2 for 1 happy hour. Really enjoyed the complimentary carrot and cucumber sticks and dipping sauce that was served with the drinks. Staff was great and very welcoming and attentive. Resort is small enough that you feel like there are only a handful of guests and very quite and peaceful. Great place to stay for relaxing in Samui

Brilliant stay”

We had a fantastic stay at Sea Dance resort. First of al, extremely friendly staff (thank you all!) Rooms are huts, medium, large and xl size. Xl have a pool and indoor bathroom. We stayed in an L with outdoor bathroom. Can recommend it, however when we stayed it was very hot and many muskitos. They were for Ko Samui standards many and also blood thursty. Xl villa with private pool had indoor bathroom. We were offered an upgrade but we did not want a private pool (we found it too dangerous for our 2 yr old daughter). Extra spray against muskitos the resort gave us helped! Restaurant: good breakfast and a very tasty, diverse menu. Location is beautiful, pool and restaurant have a beach/sea view. Only minor: its hard to get into the sea, due to coral/rocks. There is a nice beach north (15 min walk, 5 min taxi). And Silver beach in the south is beautiful. When staying around, staff does bring cold water and cocktail infused icecreams ( thanks Helen!) for free :)

A little bit of paradise”

Our stay at sea dance was one of the highlights of our 2 week trip to Thailand! The place is just perfect and even after a week we didn't want to leave! It probably helped that on arrival we were given a free upgrade to one of the villas with a pool over the garden bungalow we had booked. Amazing! The villas are as stunning in real life as the pictures! Absolutely spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The infinity pool area is also beautifully designed and a perfect spot to unwind. If your feeling adventurous (and the sea is calm enough) they also provide a couple of kayaks you can take out. Whilst the beach area isn't large, it is almost a private beach for the resort. There's only one other hotel next door so there was hardly ever anyone else on the beach making it feel nice and exclusive. The food and drink at the hotel are a little expensive compared to other places around Thailand, but you have to expect that for such a quality place. We did eat there a few times and it was delicious tho, so worth it! The calamari in particular! The resort is a little secluded, so you do need to factor in a taxi to get to a restaurant or bar which can also add up. The travel place just up the road can get you a cab for cheaper than the hotel tho. We also hired a bike from the travel place for 250 baht a day. Absolute steal as it meant we could easily get out and about to explore the beautiful island. Overall I'd like to thank all the staff at sea dance for giving us such a memorable trip. We hope to come back some time (and would love villa number 7 again please!!)

Absolutely Amazing Place”

My family, ranging in age from 9 months to 62 years, absolutely loved our stay at the Sea Dance Resort. The reviews are spot on and everything lived up to the expectations. From the initial communication over email to transportation arrangements, they couldn't have been more helpful! We loved the special attention to detail, such as how the staff remembered our names and what activities we had done that day. Poy, the manager, said that their service philosophy is to "do unto others as you would have them do to you" and the staff all live up to that moto. The rooms were always cleaned in a timely matter and the bathroom is so much fun being that it's outside. The free cocktails on Wednesday's happy hour and live music at the Thai buffet were wonderful (Poy is a great singer!). The breakfasts were amazing (banana and pineapple pancakes!). Breakfasts include fruits, yogurts, breads, fresh juices, coffee/tea and ready to order dishes as well (as many as you like). We had lunch and dinner there some of the days as well because it was easier than going out to the main road (10 min walk to 7/11). One minor concern is the wifi, as it was quite patchy in our cottage as well as the restaurant area but hey, you were on a gorgeous tropical island in Thailand... should you really be spending that much time on the internet?! Thanks Poy and staff for an amazing trip! We hope we can come back one day soon!

Fantastic quiet resort with a stunning view ”

Absolutely loved every minute of it, set a little bit off the road it's perfect for a couple who want a quiet location only 10 mins ( via scooter or taxi) from chaweng or fisherman's village. The way the restraunt is set up next to the pool gives you a stunning view every morning and swim up bar. All the staff remembered us by name and we're very helpful and friendly. Do not forget the Wednesday night 6-7 drinks are free followed by a Thai buffet and live music. The only things we would have liked were a gym and spa but we were advised these are coming as they upgrade the resort! So next time we return things will be even better! Can't wait to return oh and one other thing the WiFi signal is not very strong in room 14, this could be a problem for other rooms too but we'd hope they add some boosters in the future to improve this. The breakfast was fantastic definetly a must to add to your room every morning and the rooms were very clean and well looked after very nice! We'd really enjoyed the stay and would definetly return again, Thank you sea dance resort Steve and Morag

Birthday celebration”

We had the seafront room which was very private with an incredible view of the sea. The beach is rocky, so not really a swimming beach, but some of the rooms have a plunge pool and the resort has a lovely little pool overlooking the sea. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and I'd recommend this resort if you're looking for a beautiful, quiet corner of Koh Samui. There are long, sandy beaches in Maenam, about 20minutes away, and a quaint shopping street/markets in Bohput, called fisherman's village, with many beachfront restaurants.

Exceptional”

We have just returned from our very peaceful mini break at Sea Dance. Upgraded on arrival, we were very pleased with our villa with the honeymoon decor all laid out on the bed to celebrate our wedding this summer. What a lovely surprise! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfection, be this supplying us with unlimited water (something not all resorts in Asia would provide) or making special requests that weren’t on the menu! We also appreciated the Wednesday happy hour (free beer, wine and a selection of cocktails from 6-7). This was such a lovely touch with the owner who went out of his way to socialise with guests and make them feel welcome. The food was sublime. Breakfast buffet was great with an egg station etc which suited us perfectly! Location is stunning with a rocky private beach, good for snorkelling, kayaking etc. 10 mins from Chaweng in a taxi. No doubt we will be back at Sea Dance, or if not us, we would definitely recommend to friends.

Wonderful resort”

I have booked for three nights. The biggest problem this resort has is its location. Not the best one, being located in Choeng Mon, the taxi drivers will struggle finding it, as it's not one the main road and the signage is unclear. The fun in Samui is in Chaweng and if you're not renting a bike you're being ripped off by taxi drivers to get there, unless you'll share a tuk tuk. The other minus for my stay was the weather. Unfortunately, almost forgot how the sun looks like during my stay... too much rain and clouds. This, actually, stopped me spending time to the wonderful pool this resort has. The staff is incredibly nice and the food is good, though expensive. The decoration is amazing. If I were to recommend, I'd say it's for people who look peace and quiet, couples or families and research the weather.. from what I heard until October it's nice and you would definitely enjoy your time at Sea Dance. Also, I had an unexpected visitor first night, a lizzard :)

Relaxed and hassle free”

Lance,Faith, Helen and John were just a small part of a smooth run team that made our stay just lovely. The location was a short taxi to most places you'd be looking to go to, fishermans village and chewang just 500 bhat away. The food was very good indeed and the service was up there with the best. They soon know your name and preferred drinks which is good when you want a cappuccino with an extra shot for breakfast. The rooms were great, very cold air con, wi-fi in each room and the most comfortable of super King beds. I'm sorry to have missed anyone by name but I'll keep sea dance resort on my return -to list. A very big thank you to the staff and if this helps you, the reader, to find yourself going there, you'll be very pleased you did.

Quiet and intimate ”

Koh Samui seems to have resorts to fit everyone's needs. If you're looking for a quieter place on the island where you can relax with some beautiful views - this place fits the bill. The staff was wonderful! So friendly and helpful. Sitting by the pool they were quick to bring you a glass of water or clean towels, and even walked around at one point each morning with free popsicles! These were a super nice touch (and the adult ones had gin!) Their drinks were also delicious and they had good happy hour specials. The resort also has kayaks and paddle boards on site that you can take out whenever, for free. Loved it! Before you go you might want to know that each room is like its own little hut and the bathrooms are attached, but outside. It was beautiful - but a bit weird with mosquitoes and heat. The local is also nice and quiet - but you're about an $8-10 uber ride from the tourist hubs if you want to go shopping or out at night. And you can't swim at this beach.

Exceptional”

We spent a wonderful, quiet week at Sea Dance. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were lovely and clean.If you want a quiet place to stay away from the crowded, tourist-filled beaches but yet still close enough to easily get to those areas, Sea Dance is a good location for you. It doesn't have a large beach area, but the many lounge chairs located around the pool and right in front of the beach make up for that. My only criticism would be the lack of internet in the rooms. You have to go to the cafe/pool area to get a connection. The ability to stream TV/movies at night or check email from the room would have elevated the stay from excellent to fantastic.

It was truly amazing from the moment we arrived to the day we departed. We booked Sea Dance after seeing the reviews and was only hoping it would live up to expectations - it didn't disappoint!! Staff and his team couldn't do enough and we were truly welcomed. They new you by name and were genuinely interested in speaking to you. We wanted to hire a car for the day, they arranged everything for us and gave us some pointers on where we should also visit. The rooms were lovely had views over the sea, great to wake up to every morning. It had everything you needed and more. Without a doubt I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for a great time

Paradise”

We loved loved loved Sea Dance and felt so lucky to be there. The sea breeze kept us cool even though the temperature was high. It is beautifully set out with villas hidden by palms and foliage. Our villa (upgraded!) faced the sea and our own private plunge pool so the view was amazing. The staff were so so friendly - all of them including Poy the manager/owner, Faith, Helen and everyone who served us in the restaurant. The food is wonderful - best food we had in Thailand. Try the chicken with cashew nuts or the yellow soft shell crab curry or the red duck curry! Yum! There is a small private beach with swing and sun beds. But it is so small and gorgeous it feels like the whole place is exclusive. The pool is lovely and zen music plays. We also had two traditional Thai massages while we were there. They were quite expensive but very well done. We were also there for Song Kran and Poy took us to their sister hotel in Chaweng and brought us back again. Brilliant!

Amazing resort”

We absolutely loved our time at Sea Dance. The staff were welcoming, engaging, and an absolute joy to be around. The rooms were perfect; we especially loved our own private infinity pool! The other vacationers were very fun to be around and we loved the sense of community that we experienced at Sea Dance. We would 100% recommend Sea Dance to anybody and everybody. The worst part of our stay there was when we had to check-out and leave. We already miss it so much.

Beautiful Honeymoon ”

We really enjoyed the stay at sea dance resort. The location was quiet and we had a private beach that was shared only with the adjacent resort. Sea bass restaurant offered great Thai and international options. We just wished there was more Thai options for breakfast. The staff made us feel at home and were very attentive to our every need.

Absolutely wonderful stay Sea Dance - so much so that we didn't want to leave! Highlights: Friendly staff always willing to help or have a chat Amazing food (best we had on the island) and my cooking class was so much fun! Total relaxation in the pool and in house massage Lush gorgeous gardens A truly special birthday feast for my dad Plus many more..
