"Stayed for 2 nights. Got a great price through Agoda. Staff were friendly and provided an all round good service. Room was spacious and plenty of hot water when having a shower. Limited TV channels but had HBO movies which was handy when spending time in the room. The main drawback was the noise. I half knew what to expect as the hotel is situated yards away from Green Mango nightclub. Although I was in the block furthest away from the club the noise until the small hours was a real problem. Also, my room backed on to a delivery bay for Festival Shopping centre so lorries coming and going at all hours. Definitely a hotel for night owls. If you know what to expect then good value hotel in the heart of Chaweng."

"A group of friends and I stayed at VOP over New Years and were extremely pleased and impressed with their flexibility and willingness to accommodate us. Our other hotel, which we had booked over a month prior to our holiday, double booked our room and left us stranded for 3 days in Koh Samui. Thankfully, VOP Suites sympathized with our situation and invited us to stay there even though they hadn't officially their doors yet. We were the first guests to stay there and yes, there was still some construction going on, but the rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. The hotel owners were so kind and welcoming during our stay. They gave us recommendations for places to eat, explained how to get around the island, and even drove us to where we wanted to go on occasion. Our New Years holiday was definitely saved by the kindness and outstanding service standards provided at VOP Suites."

"Don't forget to rent motor bike. We arrived to Samui on 26th Dec, hotel prices were crazy high due to 28th December 2012 full moon party and peak season. We spent our 3 nights in three different hotels. This one was the most modern and new hotel with all required amenities. I would give it 4 stars. Upon check in we found a Lizard in our room which was later hand picked by their security staff. There was a little gap between Window and its frame. They should fix it as soon as possible. There is a big Tesco Lotus along with shopping complex adjacent to this hotel apartment and its only 220 metres walking distance. I highly recommend renting a motor bike or car as this hotel is 3.8 KM from Chaweng beach and 6 minutes motorbike ride. Key selling point is low price under usd 30 and Modern Amenities."

"The room at this hotel is so luxurious I couldn’t believe we were staying for such a low price! The only thing that wasn’t great is that the location is kind of secluded nothing really to walk to in my opinion. "

"We stayed here 1 week with 2 kids (4, 8). Apartments are big (80 m2), with kitchens, 2 bedroom. It is clean place and beautiful area with amazing garden. Quiet and cozy place on the hill, some distance from crowded chaweng. need 5-7 minutes by motorbike or car to chaweng - in Thailand you need minimum bike anyway, thus not a problem. For kids nice pool and playground. Owner and staff very supportive, 24h security, regular cleaning. Loved that place, very recommended!"

"This was a lovely stay for me. It was just far enough so that I wasn't in the crowds right on the strip of Chaweng Beach. They gave me an aircon room even though I booked a fan, but never used it, it was nice and cool when I was there. There was no real restaurant, and the bar was closed, but it was very close to some little places where the locals ate which were much cheaper than the tourist places. If you want an experience that's more expat and less tourist, this would be a good choice. Not on the beach though, or the party strip."

"I recently had to dash up to Thailand after my elderly father became ill on a cruise ship and was put ashore at Koh Samui. I went online to find a hotel as quickly as I could with location top of my list. The Sasinara Place is about 50 metres from the front door of the Bangkok Hospital Samui - perfect. I was a little concerned because the nightly rate was so low but with proximity to the hospital my overriding concern, I booked 3 nights. I arrived very late on a Sunday night and the very friendly owner explained that she'd almost given up on me arriving but had stayed on passed the usual time just in case. The room was spacious and quiet (at the back of the building), it would really suit a small family or young people travelling together. The room was equipped with a microwave, kettle and fridge.. really handy for snacks and even breakfast. Only 'free-to-air' TV (local Thai language and international News) channels are available in the room but the wifi is excellent so watching movies etc on your own device works well. This hotel was perfect for my needs and the owner and staff made my very stressful time as comfortable as possible. I definitely recommend Sasinara Place."

"Very good value for the money, within one minute walk you have couple of 7-11 and few more stores, laundry services, a big food market with lots of really cheap restaurants. There is always street food available till late night. The room is massive with a/c , TVs, wardrobe, coffee table, sofa, big fridge and a small coffe table the bathroom is good size too. Try to stay in a room close to the reception, more noisy as it is closer to the road but internet works better. Around 7-8 minutes walk to the Chaweng beach which is a very beautiful beach. The owner is very helpful and funny person. "
