Friendly staff who are both friendly and informative, the room is large enough for three including the bed is so big, many pillows and so comfy but doesn’t has refrigerator in the room instead they provide cool water and tea, coffee 24/7 at lobby. Moreover, it locates in the center of city which we can borrow the bike to river market and there are many food stands and convenient stores where we can bike within 5-10 mins. Therefore, this hotel is worth with the price!!!! And I would stay here again whenever I have chance to vist Suratthani next time.

I would like to thank the wonderful staff for their generous hospitality. We rented a single bunk room, to start the room was very tidy and if you are not spending all day in your room this is a great room. the bunk bed is extremely comfortable and each bunk provides sufficient plug ins and lighting. The air conditioner works wonderfully for the hot nights in Suratthani. Journey Hostil is in a great location with very little noise pollution as well during the evening there is a fantastic night market full of food and various souvenirs.

This hotel is clean and has the boutique look. The restaurant served good food in the evening, but the lack of real coffee in the morning was disappointing, since we find the imitation coffee powder served in many budget places in Thailand to be inedible. But for the budget price, we cannot really complain about something like that. We just walked outside to the Amazon Coffee shop just outside the restaurant to purchase are own fresh coffee.... problem solved. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. Are only concern was with security. The hotel is located behind a busy gas station where many people would loiter. Most of the lights outside in the parking lot next to the hotel were not turned on (we stayed there for 3 nights, so this was not a fluke) and there were many people in the dark parking lot that were not guests of the hotel. The 2nd floor landing on building 3 at the elevator was not lit, and felt dangerous as well. All of the staff performed their duties well except the security guards, who never left their chair at the reception entrance because they were busy playing with their mobile phones. This lack of security lighting and security guards not doing their job was the only reason that I did not give and excellent rating for staff and facilities. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Suratthani.

We were on a road trip from Malaysia all the way to Chiang Rai. Suratthani (S Tara) was a stop by for us to put up a night. We booked this room purely based on reviews on Agoda and the room was very cheap! We werent expecting much for the price we paid but we were SURPRISED when we arrived. We reached the hotel at midnight (1am) and the staff actually came out and greet us and helped us with the luggages all the way to the room. Something even 4/5 star hotels might not do at times. Room was decently comfortable, clean and spacious. Air conditioning was a little noisy but i wouldnt complain about that for what its worth. Breakfast was also included in the room price and the variety was decent. All in all, i'd definitely recommend this hotel for budget travellers looking for a decent hotel (best value for money).

We stayed only one night on our way to Koh Samui. The hotel is located 70km away from Racha ferry terminal but we were already very exhausted driving for 10 hrs from Bangkok by the time we got there and needed to rest. The hotel is tucked in a little alley but not that difficult as there is Tesco Lotus on the other side of the road. The hotel is super clean and the female staff at the reception seems genuinely happy to provide good service. The shower, bed etc, everything was GREAT considering what we paid. There is a little local Thai restaurant with picture menu in front of the hotel or you can walk 500 m to Tesco Lotus for dinner. The parking is reasonably spacious. Great stay.

I booked 4 rooms for 8ppl and it's pretty much private because it's the long pool that join all the room together just like in the picture except the real view are much more beautiful. We were so tired and wet from the waterfall we have visited before checked in and they greet us very nice and very quick for checking in. It's a new, small hotel with the enormous view! very quite area and close to the dam. Altho you need a private car to go around suratthani or else the hotel has activities and services you can book. Breakfast wasn't big but enough in the morning. Food there also really nice and price is good. the bartender make a really tasty cocktail so don't miss out! will definitely go back! ps. make sure you book a room with a mountain view and it will be all great!

This hotel has a beautiful lobby and are baggage was quickly attended to by porters once we exited ghe cab. The front desk expected us and had our reservation ready to go (the first time this has happened in 4 weeks if travelling). Check in was smooth though we had to pay extra for my breakfast since our occupancy was booked for only 1,not 2 on their system. The rooms are dated but clean and I always got a great sleep. There were no bugs in our room but a few large, slow mosquitoes in the lobby. I really enjoyed my Thai food in the restaurant and ate there many times. The service was great consistently for my husband and I. Breakfast is good too with a mix of thai and western foods, so you should be able to find something you will enjoy. The pool is sizable and refreshing. Massages were outstanding, we had 4 between my husband and I, all around 300 baht. They go very hard so you may be quite sore the next day, keep that in mind if you're flying. Our laundry service was efficient and undergarments were folded in packaged together in cellophane bags, while our larger items were all ironed, hung, and placed in our room wardrobes later that afternoon. Prices are per piece, not weight, and laundry staff did not speak English but were friendly and helpful nonetheless. Much of the staff speaks very little English but we had no problems getting our needs met. This hotel also has a large number of thai guests who are travelling as well. Take a tuk tuk for 15-20 baht per person to the night market if you'd like some street food. The area has other restaurants and western food in the area too. Overall, it's convenient having the pool, massage, and restaurant all under one roof. Great value for the money.

We overnighted there to and from our Kho Phangan stay. We enjoyed very minute of our stay. If you wish to dine near or visit the night Bazar, it will cost you only 20-30 THB per person. Trip to airport will cost 150 THB per person. All prices are tuk-tuk of course. The reception staff is very helpful, speak reasonable good English. The rooms are cheap and clean and quiet. You will have to purchase a wifi access code (100Thb for 24 hours). The restaurant will serve you dinner until midnight and offers a variety of good quality Thai dishes. You definitely want to consider this hotel when you next visit Suratthani !

We stayed with my fiancee for one night in the Suratthani before morning flight. The One hotel was definitely good. Pros: - middle sized room with big bed. - desk in the room. - small refrigerator in the room. - hotel is cheap - plenty of power outlets everywhere - free wi-fi in the room (not very fast, but works well) - nice light in the room - tasty breakfast, breakfast was from 7:00 to 10;00 so we have time to take breakfast before our flight. - Good service, we asked for transfer to airport - no problem, in the 8:00 am minibus was there for us. Cons: - bathroom is sort of small and shower area not separated from toilet area. - Hotel managers asked me for 500 baht deposit. They returned deposit when we checked out. - Transfer to airport is pricy - 500 baht for two person. I also know that you can order a massage to the room, it seems like a good option. But we stayed for one night only and have early flight - so we wasn't interested in this. This hotel seems like very good one for me. I recommend it to travelers, and will stay there again when I'll be in Suratthani.

1. Location : In the heart of Surat Thani town centre. Near to the Night Market and Central Plaza. 2. Food : Have not seen any halal restaurant near the hotel. Central Plaza got halal kiosk. 3. Shopping : Night Market near the hotel. 4. Facilities : Internet was good in the room. Lift provided. Room and toilet very clean. Toiletries provided. Big space for car park in hotel area and guarded. 5. Staff : very polite staffs 6. Value for money : For RM 65 per night its worth the money.

We have stay at 100 islands many times and each time we find the beds comfy, which is something we dont often find with beds in Thailand. For us the hotel is ideally situated as we had a convention close by. Close by at a big Tesco Lotus and a family mart. I would say slightly disappointing breakfast this time, not quite the choice there used to be especially with fruit.

Heading to Khao Sok, this was the perfect place to stop over and be ready for the departure from Ratchaprapha Dam pier for a 3 days package in the natural parc. The pier is at 3 km from Bansuanphutarn,. The bungalows are super clean, no air-con but a good fan. And in this area the nights are not so hot. So it works. All the confort you need is there. The Hotel is well indicated but make sure you get offline Maps or other means to drive to Bansuanphutarn because the Hotel is lost in the middle of nowhere. The area is super quiet, you can swim in the river but be cautious as they open doors from the dam and the flow increase rapidly. But it is not a big wave ;-) The resto is a key aspect of this hotel, the cooking is simply amazing. Try the fish !!! We tested almost everything and the food there is one of the best experience we had this time in Thailand. Needless to say that the staff there is ultra kind, and helpful. The owner speaks a good english.

Very new, clean hotel. Rooms are spacious and the pool is lovely. Great value at under 800 baht. Friendly staff and wheelchair & pram accessible. Family Mart 5 minute down the road, restaurant across the road. Maybe best suited to those with own car as it is a little out of the way. That said there is Grab in Surat so easy to get around. Didn't try the breakfast, can be added for 150 baht. Overall great stay.

This hotel is located in a tiny village next to the Chewlarn Dan lake which is why we chose it because when we realised that the lake was about 50km from Khao Sok we decided to stay closer to the lake to save the journey. This was a mistake in my view because the village is totally not tourist friendly and there are absolutely no services for tourists. We couldn't find any non spicy food for the kids and it just felt like the middle of nowhere. As to the hotel, it has basic good sized rooms with basic decor. The shower was smelly, the room was full of insects and ants. I didn't mind all of these too much but what really ruined it for me was how they ripped us off when we booked the lake tour. They said the tour was 1400 BHT per person and that this was the price everywhere. We agreed because we felt that if its the same everywhere then we might as well book via the hotel. When we finished the lake tour which was absolutely amazing found out that the boat actually cost 1800. Stay awa

This was one of the most amazing places we visited in Thailand--absolutely stunning! And it was wonderful to walk 8 steps out our doors and into the lake. Panvaree staff don't speak much English, but they were very friendly and tried to be helpful. There were some odd "misses" like limited food and beverages, hard beds, and too few deck chairs, but it was more than worth it to stay in this place. Our room was large and clean and our daughter loved the loft. They generally take guests on a morning and evening boat ride and offer a longer afternoon excursion with cave tour, all of which we enjoyed. They also provide transportation once per day from the Ratchaprapha Dam pier. Breakfast buffet is included and lunch and dinner are extra and the food was okay, but not a highlight. We stayed two nights (one full day), which we felt was just about perfect.

Amazing location, and amazing view. We've had a lovely time there. Staffs were very friendly. A bit hot during the day and afternoon. They started to provide air-con from 7 pm. But you can soak yourself into the water if you don't mind of getting very tan, and a fan in-room provided. The down side of this place is the transfer. It's very expensive. They don't provide you a long-tail boat with this price, which you have to book extra 4,500 baht and its not always available. So you have to get from a local. The menu very limited, if you don't buy the buffet. Only many choices on the menu, but not in reality .

This camp is just gorgeous. Set amidst lush forest, with spectacular views across the mountains, a perfect getaway to relax in tranquil surrounds. We stayed here for 2 (actually 3- including an overnight trip away) nights and loved the atmosphere, the incredible, friendly and attentive staff, and the delicious, very reasonably priced food. There was one slight hiccup- we booked not realizing how far from The national park/ dam/lake we were. There are day tours and 2/3 day tours which include overnight stays at floating huts, and at the boutique camp, but these all seemed to be aimed at people who were NOT already staying at the camp... A bit confusing. Seems that most guests who stay at the camp are part of a 1 or 2 night tour. We worked out a tour for us, at a lower price, as we missed out on half of the itinerary. It was enjoyable, but would have been more so if it was the whole package. Would recommend staying here and having your own transportation or booking one of the tours in advance. *Lots of Russian tourists seem to do the tours*
