Great location, facilities and services”

This is a luxury hotel good for both business travelers and sightseers. It's located on Sheikh Zayed road (the main highway in Dubai, is close to the metro, and allows for easy access in taxis to all areas of Dubai. It's only 15 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes by taxi to the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa. It's not very close to the beach if you're looking for a beach holiday, but they have a nice pool at the hotel. Unfortunately, Dubai is not a city designed to explore by walking (too hot and spread out). However, taxis are very cheap so you can take them everywhere. The concierge was very helpful, and the staff were friendly and efficient for the most part. For the turndown service, one night the staff only turned down the bed on one side (for one person) which was odd. Also, the cleaning staff entered our room to clean it one morning even though we put the do not disturb sign on the door while we went for a swim in the pool. Highly recommend the Desert Safari Tour that is located next to the concierge in the lobby of the hotel. Overall, if you're looking for a luxury hotel to stay in while you're in Dubai this is a good option from the many luxury hotels Dubai has to offer.

best value for a top hotel”

compared with other hotels in Dubai, we found the service second to none. I was upgraded to a lovely suite at reasonable cost which made our stay much more satisfying. The location on sheikh zayed road makes it convenient for us to go anywhere in Dubai. The staff were friendly at the bar, lobby and at breakfast each morning. I will definitely consider staying at the Shangri-La next time I am in Dubai.

Great Location, friendly staff and great rooms and pool. ”

We really enjoyed our stay here at the Shangri La Hotel Dubai. Although not our first stay in Dubai it was our first stay at this hotel. Room was spacious and we were given an upgrade on arrival to a bigger club lounge room. The lounge was wonderful, plenty of options of food for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening snacks with drinks. My only complaint was our daughter aged 15 years wasn't allowed in the club lounge for cocktails due to alcohol. As I said before we have stayed in different club lounges in Dubai before and our daughter has always been allowed in during cocktails hours. The reason we were told was due to licensing laws for this hotel. But we could have drinks in the restaurants and by the pool with her so really didn't understand why she couldn't join us for happy hour! Anyhow we still enjoyed our stay and our daughter enjoyed the two hour peace and quiet and free run of the hotel room during this time!

Very lovely hotel”

it was our first time in dubai to attend the art dubai. we picked shangri-la because it's already well known internationally, even though the location is a bit far from where the art exhibition was held. however, as what we expected the bedroom suite was big and luxurious, it was also clean. we had a wonderful experience, except for the car/van we requested to pick us up from the airport. for a nice hotel like that, i expect the transportation also suites the hotel well. we travelled with 8 other people, and there's another time where we had to get a large van. since time was crucial so we figured to ask the hotel to book us a van, hoping that it'd be something slightly better as we mentioned to them about getting something slightly different and better than the one they sent to pick us up. turned out, it was a lot worst. not only that the a/c felt like a heater and an overheated engine. the driver couldn't find the destination, got nervous and almost got us in a car accident. we didn't file the complain through the hotel, bcs it was late by the time we got back, everyone was already traumatize and hungry. we ended up not going to where we should be going bcs we were terribly late and went back to the hotel and ate at the chinese restaurant there instead.

Wonderful n Lovely Hotel”

the hotel definitely meet our expectation as we picked this hotel because of the reputation, even though we came to see the art dubai and could've stayed at the jumeirah area. the room was clean and very friendly staff who's willing to take the time to have a small chit chat about where to go in dubai. the only thing that the hotel could improve is the transportation, as the van they sent to pick us us from the airport definitely didn't meet our expectation as the shangri-la standard. other than that everything was great.

Exceptional quality and service ”

My wife and I stayed at Shangri-La Dubai for our 15th anniversary. From checkin to checkout, the hotel staff ensured the trip was a memorable one. We were welcomed with an anniversary cake and a beautiful swan folding with rose petals which was quite unexpected. The hotel also surprised us with a cake the next for my wife’s birthday. The staff were welcoming and courteous throughout our stay. Breakfast was fabulous and the live counter staff ensured our orders were delivered to perfection. Even the gentlemen who stands at the entrance made us feel welcome ensuring we had a few tips on getting around. I’d have to place this hotel near the top of the several hotels I’ve visited across Europe and Asia when it came to customer service.

Luxury hotel in the heart of the financial center”

First stay at the Shangri-La Dubai. It didn't disappoint! Wonderful rooms with a very comfortable bed and lots of space to put your things. A wonderful line of toiletries provided (L'Occitane products)in the bathroom. We were on the 32nd floor with an ocean view. Although the view is pretty spectacular the ocean is quite a ways away so you see more buildings and desert than ocean. We arrived around 4 am and were pleased to be given an early check in (we entered our room around 6am). Although grateful for the early check in it was odd that they made us wait for close to two hours before they let us into the room. The breakfast buffet was simply fantastic. A wide selection of a variety of foods and drinks; this buffet truly has something for everyone. Either book a room that includes breakfast or indulge yourself while you are there at least once. Good gym and business center, although $1.30 USD per page you print in the business center is a little steep.

Perfect service”

I loved my stay at Shangri-la. I was there for six nights in Horizon Deluxe Club room. I recommend booking through Agoda since you can get Horizon club room for the same price as regular room if booked directly on Shangri-la hotel web site. Hotel staff is amazing and at your service all the time. They take care of you perfectly. Hotel is amazing. Swimming pool on the 4th floor is fantastic. Perfect place to relax after busy day. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It's worth the price!

Luxury hotel & highly recommended ”

From the start you have to choose the level of the room that you need in this hotel and the view, so Burj Khalifa view is the best, and it’s more expensive than the sea view of the same hotel. As for me, every was perfect and so much better than other hotels that I have tried before on the same road (Sheikh Zayed Road). Good luck 👍🏼

Very Nice Hotel with a perfect dedicated service”

I've stayed 2 nights in the Shangri La Hotel, my stay was very nice, i loved to stay near by the pool, having drinks at the bar and enjoying the Jacuzzi. The location is perfect to join the Dubai mall only one metro station or the airport 15min by cab. Many shops and restaurants are near by the hotel. The service is perfect and the Deluxe room very attractive. I really advice this hotel for a short stay in Dubai

Experience week in Dubai”

I was in Dubai for 5 nights to ski dive etc and having previously stayed further out wanted to be more central and the Shangri La is certainly central. Easily accessible from Financial Metro stop it is almost in the shadow of the Burj Khalifa. I found it clean, spacious and quiet. The balcony on level 42 is great for photos (another reason I was here). Would recommend and I will definitely be back.

Outstanding Hotel With a Great View of Burj Khallifa”

We really enjoyed our stay in Shangri-la Dubai, our room had the best view of the Burj Khalifa and it was really breath taking. Rooms were nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast is great as well, and staff provided the best service. Would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Dubai.

Shangri-La lives up to its reputation ”

We had a great 7 days at Shangri-La Dubai. Everything was perfect right from the time we checked in. Mitch at the reception made our stay memorable! We enjoyed the cocktails st the executive lounge. Nico and Troy besides the other staff there looked after us very nicely. Thank you everyone at Shangri-La.

Shangri La - New Years Eve 2010”

My and a friend stayed at the Shangri La for New Year 2010. We were looking for a five star hotel in a good location which would also accomodate for two young males looking to have a good time. The hotel didnt dissapoint and a short taxi ride each night got us to many very cool bars and restaurants. The hotel itself also catered for this with numerous excellant restaurants and bars. The spa is worth spending some time in, especially if feeling abit tender from the previous night. Facilities are excellent in general and the staff cant do enough to help! Rooms are spacious and finishes are high quality. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Probably suited more to business than leisure but definately does both.

Shangri-la hotel standard is excellent. Room is extremely clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room is looking at the Burj Khalifa which is magnificent. Hotel offer free transfers to Dubai mall. I find this convenient

Excellent service and well located”

I have stayed at the Shangri-La about 5-6 times in the past 2 yearr and find it consistently good. There are other hotels that are more flashy but for consistency and good value I find it one of the best, if not the best, hotel in Dubai. A bonus is the fact that it is also well located in relaton to Dubai Mall, a must see in Dubai.

Nice stay”

We went to Dubai for a New Year retreat. Stayed and the Shangri-La Hotel Dubai. The hotel is kept in good shape even though its showing its age. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The one thing that stuck out the most for me was the concierge service, this was out of this world. Overall we were please with our stay and would go back again.

Great view - opposite Burj Khalifa”

Specious room, clean and easy/quick check-in. Very near to the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. Staff is friendly and always helpful. We rented a car and the valet parking is easy. We requested a high floor and we got one too. Will come back to the Shangri-La anytime.
