We loved our stay here, would come again. Good location, great room, big and confortable, comfy bed, very clean. Don't hesitate to stay here!
Photos must be old and taken from angles that looks an area where quietly sit, read, work... no way ! Staff is very nice, but all business needs refurbishing and updated photos. During the day is noisy due to traffic and generator at night.
many thank to guest house’s manager, she helped me a lot. Nice room, good service. I want to come back soon
The staff were very helpful. Good location and close to everything in old town. Clean place I would highly recommend.
Great property with kind staff. Convenient location within walking distance to Chiang Mai Gate & Saturday Night Market.
Can’t complain for the price: clean, comfortable, and a helpful, kind manager. Upper rooms get a bit hot during the day. Could use darker curtains or blinds.. Nonetheless, I’d stay again.
A clean and cozy hostel with a relaxed atmosphere but the Wifi signal often dropped.
It was great!
Fantastic in every way.
Very clean showers, toilets and rooms. The beds felt like wood, but we got used to that. Across the guesthouse is a temple located, which will wake you up in the morning with rambling that goes on for hours. You can also hear your neighbours talk through the walls, but if you can ignore the nois your stay will be plesant.
nice room,good service
Nice place to spend a few days in Chiang Rai, close to a park where free outdoor gym. Easy to walk everywhere and you have privacy. Free coffee in the morning, breakfast are found in the street. Clean and nice. In the room there’s only a bed no hangers or anything else except a fan. Walk to the night market takes about 30min more or less. We would stay here again!
We stayed in the double room and it totally exceeded our expectations. Very good location. Would and will stay here again.
Attentive service, comfortable big bed but could use a more comfortable desk or sitting area.......a more comfortable area for sitting and lounging
Very very basic room. Ok for one night of transit but not more.
We had a great stay at the the Sirikamsan House. It's very beautiful, plants everywhere, almost like you're in a mini jungle within the old City walls. The location is perfect for walking to anything you need. 7-11 a block away, Sunday Night Market a 5 minute walk right down the street. The staff was very friendly and helpful, however we found it hard to get breakfast in the mornings, kind of seemed like no one was around. But no worries, there were plenty of restaurants and street food everywhere around. The B&B is located right behind temples, so when you step outside, it's a nice and quiet little tucked away place. Bathrooms and showers seemed decently clean for the most part, I give benefit of the doubt considering in rained a lot during our 5 night stay, so it's kind of hard to not track dirt and water everywhere. The bathrooms ran out of toilet paper for a couple of days, didn't really bother me at all because we take wet wipes everywhere (most public restrooms don't have toilet paper anyway.) All in all, we would absolutely stay here again when in Chiang Mai, 100% recommended.
Easy and simple place at a good price! Very quiet area and very helpful staff so I can recommend warmly. Only the shared bathroom could need some more attention and some more furniture in the room would be helpful. There was only a bed in my room. No Chair, no wardrobe.
Recently stayed at this guesthouse for 18 nights. As my partner and I were studying an online course at the time we needed somewhere quiet and comfortable and this place was perfect! The rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday without fail. Bottled water was provided everyday also. The guesthouse is in a great location inside the old town only a few minutes walk to many restaurants and bars. Overall a great stay. Would recommend as a great budget guesthouse.
Hai long
The proprietor was very nice and spoke enough English to conduct business. There is a 1000 THB cash deposit required. The bar/cafe was not open. The bed was as hard as the tile floor. Mosquitoes covered the shower stalls. The room door was warped with only a push button door knob lock, which was very simple to giggle open without the key. With no safe in the room and all room doors accessible to the public, security is none existent. Do not stay here if you have anything pilferable.
A very quiet neighbourhood. A large, clean and comfortable room with air-conditioning. Great to get to the South Gate market and all the attractions in the old city.
We had the Deluxe room and everything was just perfect! A late Check-in and early Check-out without any problems, very helpful and friendly staff, everyday room service with new towels, water, soap etc. The room was clean and quit. It was also located in the old town so you could reach everything fast by walk, bicycle or bike. We were so happy to stay here for 9 nights!
Pretty nice place for budget stay!
Easy simple place to stay for two weeks at a good price. Nice staff too. Thanks!
Pros: Staff at this place are friendly and accomodating. Room was cleaned daily. The location is great - many good options for food and bars. Cons: I had the upstairs fan room which was super hot during the day, even with fan. The location is directly adjacent to a temple which during my stay was very noisy. Not entirely sure if it’s like this always. And the room, while clean, was very sparce on furniture. Don’t expect more than a bed.
Great location and friendly staff for a great price. The room had only a bed, the sheets were changed for us half way through our 4 night stay. The bathrooms were not super clean and were frequently out of tp.
This place is budget funky! An old building with kitch interior decor., a peaceful garden, chandeliers and paper lanterns remind you that Thailand is old new formal and funky. Love the staff! Beds are hard and the shower in the standard room is just a hose like most Thai hotels.
Room we had was very nice with a comfortable bed. No noticeable noise and very clean with prompt housekeeping. Nice to have a fridge and kettle. A/C worked nicely. Internet quality not great in room but good in front office. Location is great - within walking distance of the walking street market. Quiet neighborhood and easy to get cab/tuk-tuk if required.
The room is clean, the beauty boss is very nice, this is the second time I stayed at this hotel, next time to Chiang Mai I will still be set here.
Few places can you stay 5 nights for 2000baht. In central Chiang Mai, walking distance to cafes, restaurants, convenient stores, & markets. Staff were excellent, welcoming, & hospitable. Facilities were basic, but do the job. I would not want to stay here in the hot season. If you bring own vehicle, parking is on-street parking.
WiFi was ok. Did not have food here but there is breakfast. Owner was friendly. Room was cleaned daily. Bathroom should be cleaned and restocked throughout the day as it was at times unclean (lots of squashed flies in the showers) and had run out of hand soap and toilet roll.
This room is a little bit more expensive than the other ones in this hostel, but it is worth its price. You get plenty of space, a fridge and a watercooker. The room is furnished very nicely. We would definetly recommend this room !
We stayed at the hostel for a total of 10 nights. The lotus room was our second room. We stayed there 4 nights. The room is very nice and spacy, you get a seperate bathroom. In the front of the room there is a Table with two chairs that you can place outside on a little terrace. In this room there is a fridge and a watercooker and you get a new towel and a bottle of water ever day. All in all this is bang for your bucks!
We stayed in this hostel for a total of 10 nights because we simply liked this hostel. But we changed the rooms from time to time. The Jasmine room is ver nice, you got plenty of space and a seperate bathroom. There is a watercooker and a refrierator in this room. All in all you get really bang for your bucks. The staff is very kind and friendly. You get Coffee for free in the morning. You also get 2 Bottles of water and 2 Towels everyday! All in all our favourite Hostel in Chiang Mai, because it is quiet there and you can reach the most important sights of pai by walking from there!
We went for one of the Deluxe rooms upstairs and I have to say it was really good. We’ve stayed in many Thai hostels and hotels and these rooms were exceptional. Very clean, large space, massive bed, good aircon, nice modern bathroom, decent WiFi and amazingly quiet for the location. It was about a third more expensive than most places we’ve stayed in but on reflection 900b on this occasion felt more than fair. The room was cleaned everyday and the staff were friendly too. They even managed to let us extend our stay for 2 more nights - there’s lots to see and do and so many great places to eat - we just couldn’t help spending more time here! Happy to recommend. In fact we may well come back after we’ve visited Chiang Rai and Pai.
Great little hotel off the beaten track a bit in the old-city. Quiet at night although it does get busy and a bit noisy in the mornings with the morning traffic which is quite surprisingly noisy despite it being a small street. I imagine that had I one of the other rooms (not on the outside of the compound) it would have been less of an issue. Everything else was better than advertised. Lovely staff and nice clean facilities with a big bed. Only quirk was that the electricity would only work in the room when you put your key-card into the room key slot. This made charging batteries a bit of a pain as you would only be able to do so while in the room.
The room was cleaning everyday. Tha staff is very friendly and helpfull :). If we go to CHiang Mai we will chose this gesthouse again.
Great! Except bed is hard as a board. Don't come here if you can't stand hard beds!
I loved the decoration in the room. The external is a bit neglected. Overall a warm stay.
Cute place, we stayed in the Japanese futon room, unusual but cool. Unfortunately the a/c didn’t work and no screen on windows so very stuffy. Staff friendly but English not so good. Pretty clean except for a few hairs in bathroom.
It is second time that i stayed here, love this place, very quiet and the transportation is convenient.
Spacious room with comfortable bed, hot water & nice toiletries. The reception was only open at certain times which also changed over New Year period so we did not see the staff much during the evenings. Close to main walking streets and restaurants.
Very nice and friendly staff, clean room and comfortable bed. Very good option compare cost/benefit.
Extended stay for a night. Earlier comments still apply
Had the private room. Bed was tough and pillows large. Room was spacious and bathroom was okay. Room was cleaned each day although was missed one day and coffee not replaced another (small items). Location was fine for us. Noise levels were high at times as road traffic noise echoed down the corridor and into the rooms. Family checking in at 11pm were very loud and were not hushed and that made waking up 5 hours later very tough. Curtains do not cover all of the window area so expect a bright early start. Lady running the place was friendly and always wore a smile. Helpful too.
Good location and really nice rooms. When we booked, it showed us doble room, but when we arrived there was just a twin room left. The lady from the reception wanted to look, if there was at least a doble room for the second night - and just "disappeared". when I asked next morning, there was again no doble room...
I booked two rooms for me and my travel partner. My travel partner got the dates confused and I needed to rearrange the dates. The receptionist immediately understood the situation and called management. Management approved the changes and waived a fee for date switch. They also allowed my travel partner to check in early the next morning for no additional fee.
I'm not sure, but I think I got a super flash deal via Agoda, so for the price, it's exceptional. Wonderful room overall, bed, bathroom, desk and chair areas, just beautiful. Not much in terms of facilities besides the room, but the room has it all. Good location too.
Room was dirty, not massively so but really in need of a good wipe down. Massive amount of mosquitos in the shared bathrooms with dozens of their blood sucking carcasses plastered onto the shower walls, again just needed a little scrub to bring to put it right. Place is run by one lady who you may or may not be able to find, she always leaves her number just make sure you've got your phone. She was nice and kept some items we had accdiently left in the room. Friends stayed in the rooms with ensuite bathroom and had none of my issues, not the hard mattress, lack of cleanliness or the mosquito assult.
“Nice staf”
Staffs are super nice and helpful. We had just basic room with fan so yea it was hot in the day. But it’s cold at night. The room was very big and spacious with shared toilet. They give you free coffee and tea in the morning
