Very poorly organised stay. I booked and paid for the accommodation in advance. When I arrived at the location, I realised I did not have the exact address, the unit number, or the access code. There were many similar units, and I was never given information about which one was mine or how to enter. The email address provided did not respond at all to my earlier messages. Only thanks to other guests staying there, who tried to help me by contacting the host via WeChat (which I do not have), was I able to get any assistance. Even then, they were told they could not receive the access details due to “private information”. Eventually, I sent an email myself using the contact details posted inside one of the units. After about 30 minutes, I finally received the unit number and access code — but only after other guests contacted the host on my behalf. None of the two phone numbers provided were answered. If not for the kindness of other people staying there, I would have had to sleep in my car. What’s worse, other guests arriving after me had exactly the same problem. On the positive side, the apartment itself was quite new, clean, and finished to a high standard. Overall, the organisation and communication were extremely poor and unacceptable.
