Awesome”
We stayed four days at the Hôtel de la Paix. Each of them, from the pick up at the train station until the check out, was great and started with a huge, wonderful and tasty breakfast. Two swimming pools, a nice spa and a small private beach. The service is excellent and the hotel design beautiful (awesome rain shower in the splendid bathroom!). My mother joined us for her birthday and although we did not inform the staff, she had the surprise to find a birthday cake in her room upon our return from sightseeing. This shows how the staff is attentive. Note however that the hotel is located 30 minutes from Hua Hin by car. Closest small town is Cha Am. There is a shuttle for both Hua Hin and Cha Am (3 or 4 return trips per day). Although the fee is small (50 baht for Cha Am / 100 baht for Hua Hin), I think the shuttle should be complimentary. If need be, they can also easily organize a taxi. We look forward to staying again in this hotel!

Fantastic Hotel”
SO Sofitel Hua Hin is actually situated in Cha-am, Petchburi NOT Hua Hin, Prachuabkirikan. You have to drive for about 30 mins to get to Hua Hin. Anyhow, it is nicely and costly decorated though some function might be overlooked such as the massive and elegant white marble stairs approach to the lobby which is awful slippery when wet. No elevator is installed so be sure you are physically fit to climb 3-storey if you are assigned on the third floor. Room is spacious and well equipped. I love the big rain with splashes of water. I asked for the ice with the housekeeper who came to do the bubble bath for us but it was totally forgotten. Breakfast is nice with wide variety of food, croissant and baguette, etc. To my surprise, I asked for "Lea & Perrins" Worcestershire Sauce to take with my sunny-side-up fried eggs but they don't carry one. Fitness Room which is a bit small but modernly equipped is opens 24/7. Their small beach is nice with good towel and refreshment service.

Comfortable hotel with great service”
We stayed here again as we enjoyed our previous stay. We were not disappointed. Now we were with 6 and the hotel took care of giving us rooms on the same level, without any specific request by us. They excused that the by us requested room was not available as it was already occupied, so they really read your requests in advance. Traffic towards Cha Am was good: just two hours from Bangkok to Cha Am. Although we arrived a little earlier no problem with checking in. There was some maintenance going on at the chill pool, but we still could use it. It didn't bother is and it is good to see there is effort done to keep things in shape. With the 50% discount the Spa was now at the same price-level as the spa we usually visit in Bangkok where we live. It was good! There were wedding preparations going on. Interesting to see how much effort is done for a party for just a few hours and they were lucky, because during dinner in Hua Hin it rained cats and dogs and at Cha Am no shower. Let's hope this couple stays as lucky as this time. The hotel also supported us in a late check out in their best way as they were fully booked. Summarise: great service, nice accommodation. Recommend this hotel to friends and family and will go there again for a short break out of busy Bangkok. Trip back on Sunday afternoon took us unfortunately four hours, but this has to be expected coming back to Bangkok at the end of a weekend.

Lovely Hotel with 5-Star Servics”
I have no fault to say about this hotel except that it is a little pricey (we booked for the Christmas weekend, maybe that's why) Starting fro the location, the hotel is sanctuary located on the quiet Cha-Am Beach. If you like to be near the town center of Cha-Am/Hua-Hin, this isn't the place to be. But for us, we seek for quiet resort that we can rest, relax, and read. This place is perfect. We arrived and were checked in promptly and got the exact room we requested. A Front Office staff, who walked us to the room, is very knowledgable about her property. She introduced us to the hotel and could answer all the questions about the hotel that we had. The room is spacious. It feature Apple TV and Bose sound system. The bathroom is also spacious. It has rain shower in the middle of the room. Some people might not like it as it wets the bathroom floor all over. For us, however, there's no problem. We find it quite sexy actually. We booked the Cabanas Dinner, very romantic private dinner on the beach. The order got mixed up as we booked and ordered in advance, and there was some discrepancy on the menus sent to us via email earlier. The F&B Manager showed up, introduced himself, apologized, and fixed things professionally. On top of that, he sent us a bottle of white wine with the turn-down service. Lovely luxury touch. The breakfast buffet is superb. It has everything from normal ABF sausage, ham, and egg station, salad, cheese, dim sum, noodle soup, thai foods, pastry, soya milk, etc. During the breakfast service, the F&B Manager also came to greet us by name and asked if we liked the wine he sent up the night before. We like this place very much and would definitely go back again.

A very best hotel for hide away!”
this hotel has filled with tranquility and peacable space. why stay at hua hin if you can find somewhere much better at cha-am. the hotel is located in an isolated beach front. you can rest all day long inside the hotel without getting our of the hotel. this is because of the hotel has it's own spa, two swimming pool, cabanas, two restaurants, and apple tv. yes the food may be quite expensive but in exchange of crowdy and long que in some famous restaurants at hua hin may dilute your resting time and mood. wake up in the early morning and take a jogging at the beach or watched apple tv till late night is your choices of happiness. if you have someone you love and are seeking for someplace remantic, this is the place to considered.

Chic, Contemporary, minimalist hotel”
The location was quiet and peaceful and away from the centre of Cha-Am & Hua Hin. The rooms are lovely and spacious, very minimalistic, so neutral, earthy tones and no pictures on the wall. Very calm feel inside the rooms. Large bathrooms with a fantastic rain shower, right in the centre of the bathroom! The hotel felt quite peaceful and not over crowded. For us it was a bit disappointing as there was a lovely swimming pool but no children were allowed, so it was hard walking past it each day and not being allowed to use it. The other pool was very cold and my children couldn't swim in it for long. However if you are a couple or solo traveller, then this aspect would be bliss and a big plus point of the hotel!! The bar was great in the evening and with a lovely view out to sea. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as the breakfast area was too small to cater for the number of guests and the queues at the egg station were really long, with just one egg chef trying to juggle many orders. Would recommend this hotel for couples, solo travellers or families with older children.

Stunning design, small pool and pool area”
situated on a quiet beach far from the buzz in hua hin and nearby cha-am beach, this hotel offers complete relaxation. i booked this hotel with 50% off, so it was sooo worth the price. the room and bathroom were both spacious with high ceiling. the minimalist design made me feel relaxed. staff was helpful. breakfast which was included in the room price was great, though there were not as various as larger hotels but enough. one thing i didn't like is the pool which was too small for a hotel with 79 rooms. there were only about 10-15 beach chairs. there were two pools with similar size. one of them is under repair at the moment.

Cool design hotel with all facility you need”
I always visit Hotel de la paix Cha-am as i love the hotel design, large room with everything equipped. Bathroom is amazing as having big rain shower and large bath tub. Free mini bar is a plus to the good room. the food taste so good, both alacarte and breakfast buffet. Room service is fast and u can ask for free ice. Only negative is that the beach is not as good as other area in Hua-Hin/Cha-am

Nice standard but hotel works were going on”
Really nice place to stay, the standard of the hotel was faultless, food well presented and excellent quality, breakfast was vast selection. Biggest annoyance with the stay was there was renovation works going on, which made some parts of the complex not open yet, and also some workers (not hotel workers) had a habit of staring at us and did feel a little bit uncomfortable about that. If we knew about the works we wouldnt have stayed there but in a way it was still a lovely place to be. And would return in the future if was staying here. The hotel is on the seafront, but while we were there the sea wasnt suitable and was very choppy. Location is a bit out of the way if your not planning on staying in the hotel all the time, Cha am isnt too far but not walkable. Hua hin is 20 mins away by car, we rented a car and was well worth doing if you confident enough to drive there.

Pleasent getaway.. almost”
We only have time for one night getaway and this time we choose Alila Cha-Um based on the reviews in Agoda. Unfortunately, there were two groups of Thais decided to have a kind of company outing at Alila as well. When we arrived, one group seems to have just checked in and was busying themselves taking pictures around the lobby, so the staff didn't noticed us. We almost decided to leave and ask for refund of somekind because we have one night and we wanted privacy so badly, but then the GSR manager came to talk with us and somehow cool us down a bit, we glad we didn't drive into Hua-Hin and decided to stay, after all. The room is very spacious and hip. Colortone a bit too warm for our test, but can't complain otherwise. The rain shower and bathroom is very impressive. And the hotel amenities is really something unique. (No wonder everyone mention it!) Our main purpose is to rest so we decided to have dinner in the hotel, and it's proven to be nice (despite the karaoke sound constantly from those two 'groups'.) The next day the chill pool was closed (again, due to the 'groups' activities) but we had the oppotunity to use the Alila Spa and have to say it's really relaxing. The staffs are very cordial beyond our expectation from a boutique hotel outside BKK, so we are going back there again. Only this time we need to check and double-check that there's no noisy groups staying in the same day!

Best hotel, best environment, best staff”
Absolutely superb stay experience at this hotel. We are amazed with the hotel design concept and having great time here. The room is so big n so much comfortable. I like the bathroom shower idea it is so special and enjoyable. The only con is it is not really a beach hotel and it is quite some distance away from town or Hua Hin center, but definitely not a very big issue as u can take the shuttle bus or taxi service at small fee. Staff friendliness and hotel breakfast foods is top notch! Hotel de la Paix is definately the best hotel at Cha Am.

Amazing bathroom and rain shower!”
A very serene place to relax and get rid of city stress. I especially like the fact that this hotel is actually NOT in Hua Hin (too busy with Bangkokians) or in the main Cha Am beach area, hence rendering it very private and peaceful. Trade off? You better have a car or else be prepared to bike or hire taxis. The room is very large and well-equipped with pre-loaded Apple TV so you could spend the whole day lying on the bed watching movies or listening to musics. The rain shower is awesome. Worth the steep rates!

Pleasant Surprise”
Sofitel So was a great find, fantastic room, most comfortable bed anywhere, excellent open rain shower, choice of two great pools, tremendous spa experience and superb breakfast! Located before Cha Am coming from Bangkok, hardly Hua Hin but I would definitely return! The staff were all friendly helpful and caring!

Small resort in quiet location”
i stayed at this hotel for 6 days during the chinese new year holiday period and the hotel was pretty busy. however despite this it still managed to be a quiet and peaceful place to stay. the hotel is located in a quite remote area of cha am without any restaurants or shops nearby. they run a free shuttle bus to hua hin twice daily or can arrange taxis which are cheap. the contemporary architecture is good and rooms are large and comfortable. the food offered is varied and of a good standard but not expensive. the spa is good but the prices a little inflated. overall if a peaceful and relaxing holiday is what you want beside a small beach then this resort will please.

Great modern hotel tucked away from busy Hua Hin”
Hotel de la Paix Cha-am is located 30 minutes away from Hua Hin, so if you're expecting plenty of activities to do during your stay at this beachfront hideout, this is not the place for you. What this resort is good for is to lounge around with a good book and get in touch with the local wildlife (we saw plenty of birds and a couple of shy lizards at the poolside). We arrived on a Wednesday and the place deserted--we had the place to ourselves. The hotel only started packing in guests come the weekend. Perfect place for some serious R&R.

Fabulous Modern Design ”
Usually we go to Hua Hin instead of Cha-am but decided to try out this hotel because of the stunning photos we saw online and it did not disappoint. Definitely 10 out of 10 for design. It's a bit hidden so whether that's good or bad is up to you. Very friendly staff and the Apple TV with all the movies in room was a very nice touch.

convenient location with spacious room”
the hotel is located in cha-am, which is neither too far from bangkok nor hua hin downtown. inside the hotel, the room is large and clean. in-room amenities are very savvy and completed. besides the facilities, the spa at the hotel is very confortable and worth the money. i highly recommend hotel de la paix for vacation and i defenitely looking forward to going back there again.

Relaxing Alila!”
Alila is a gorgeous hotel, a place to get away from it all and relax. A place to chill out and recharge your batteries. Complimentary mountain bikes allow you to explore the local area, fishermans village restaurants and Cha-am. Hotel is in a quiet area, but if you want a bit more "action" you can take the complimentary mini bus into Hua Hin about 25 mins away. Staff all lovely, I can't wait to go back!

Cool place to chill”
Hotel De la Paix always come up to my first choice when I'm going to Hua Hin/Cha-am. I like the design of this hotel very much and the food taste good with reasonable price. Staff are attentive but still they gave me high privacy. They just know how to do it well. I'll definitely go there again and again

The best hotel we've ever stayed at”
My fiancé and I stayed here for 5 days in April. We wanted a break, to get away from it all, and we certainly got it. The hotel is beautifully designed, everything works, it's comfortable and the staff are friendly, efficient and professional. we enjoyed everything about the hotel - great breakfasts, the two clean pools, the attentive staff bringing complimentary water at the beach, the comfortable loungers, the beachside menu (excellent burgers and wraps, and crab claw pizza is delicious!), the air conditioned library with books in many languages, sunset cocktails overlooking the lobby (happy hour!), romantic delicious dinners, a great rain shower in the bathroom, and the bed... Oh that comfortable amazing bed (very wide, high threadcount sheets, many pillows...). The beach is huge, clean, and deserted. We didn't swim a lot in the ocean, there are some small jellyfish about, but it's perfect for playing in the waves and lounging on the shoreline. There are complimentary minibuses into Hua Hin twice a day, but after one trip to see the night market and eat a big seafood dinner, we never felt the urge to go anywhere. If you want nightlife and bars, this is probably not the resort for you, as Hua Hin is about 25 mins away, but to get away from it all, really relax and feel pampered this is the place! We will certainly come back again!
