“Very good”
Stayed 2 nights at a pool access room and then moved to a standard room. PROS: - Staff is very nice in general, especially the front desk. - Rooms are nicely decorated. The nautical theme is nice and every room has a large couch that makes being in the room quite comfortable. - Breakfast is nice, and good value for money even if you pay cash (Thb 300). - Pool is clean and a decent size to swim around in. It also gets shaded in the afternoon, which makes it a nice escape from the scorching sun. - Pool access room is nice. You look out to the pool, and you have a ladder to directly access the pool from your balcony. NEUTRAL: - Location is ok. It's halfway up a slope but it's not far from the beach. The bulk of shops are around 10 mins walk. - The entire clientele is Russian. Depending on you, this can be positive or negative (neutral for me). There are grandmas with adult kids and grandchildren, honeymooners and LG couples, but pretty much all Russian. AWFUL: - Mosquitoes galore around the pool. This means you can't really sit around the pool for very long without getting bitten. I sat in the balcony and counted at least 5 bites within 20 mins. - Standard room was not as clean as the pool access room. You can walk around barefoot in the pool access room and feel comfortable, but the standard room just felt dirty and sticky. I requested for the floor to be cleaned, and the poor lady arrived with a broom (no vacuum cleaner). It was still dirty and sticky after she left. I ended up using slippers inside. - Toilet in the standard room was broken and the poor engineer sat in the bathroom trying to fix it for 30 mins. - Gym is a joke. Everything was rusting. One of the reasons why I chose this hotel is due to the pictures that showed a spinning bike. The problem is that the bike had rusted so much that the seat height could not be adjusted at all (even the staff could not do anything). The pedal straps were gone. You can still use the free weights though.
