Good location on Chiangkhan walking street and Khong riverside. Staff are very friendly. Delicious breakfast with nice view. Will return again!!

The best hotel in Chiangkhan”

In my opinion, it is the best hotel in Chiangkhan. The price is reasonable, green hotel. Love the rooms with the view of Khong River (room No. 1 and 2 upstairs, also 1 downstairs).

Great location”

Suneta locates right in the middle of walking street with free bicycle for guest to use. Nice and cozy room with amazing Mae Khong River view. Owners took very very good care of us and very helpful. Water pressure in our room (Room #2, upstair) was very very low. Owner offered us room next door to take shower.

Nice place to stay & lovely staffs”

I found Suneta Hostel very interesting... The room is nice and comfy. Great view and facility. The staffs are kind and generous.

Romantic getaway for 1-2 nights. ”

Suneta is a picturesque hotel in a picturesque town along the Mekong River. We stayed just one night though two would have been better. The hotel, the staff were all fantastic and just what we needed for a short break from the norm. We will stay here again.

Nice stay to experience Thai life”

The hostel is in great location on the walking street and next to the river. Very convinent to enjoy the night market and river view. The landlords are so nice and trying to offer help even though we do not speak any local language. My suggestion is do not choose the room with city view since it's bit noisy in the evening when you are going to sleep.

Great old day atmosphere”

We stayed the room with river view. The building is wooden and old, so someone might feel not very comfortable, but for us, very impressive how they coordinates furniture and interior. Since it is perfectly oldies Thai style and the town has very slow going. The auntie who takes care the hotel is greatly nice. Price is bit expensive for this no-gorgeous facility but we would like to come back to stay this hotel again.

Lovely”

I got the room downstairs facing the river. There's a good side and bad side to the walkway along the river. One is, you can enjoy the sight of river closely while walking or cycling along it. However, it's quite irritating when you stay on the first floor and see people walking by all the time. Also, there's a small grass lawn outside the room. Several leeches and slugs would crawl into the room after the rain. That was quite creepy. The uncle and aunt who take care of the place were super nice and friendly. They let us in much, much earlier than the check-in time because we arrived in the morning bus (around 6 a.m.). They are also flexible with the check-out time. You can also leave the baggage at the hotel after checking out. The place is located almost at one's end of the street. Which is a good location. There are also many bikes that you can borrow for free. There's a lounge on the first floor. It's spacey and has free water, manga, magazines for guests to enjoy. I'd recommend this lovely place to anyone (just hope you don't find the leech!)

Hotel need reno”

Best location but property is very old and need renovation. If you book the river view room, please call to reserve the room on the front as they have 2 river view rooms but same price and one of the room is blocked by next hotel so you cannot enjoy 180 degree of khong river. If you are looking for homestay feeling, Suneta us your answer but if you need small boutique hotel, this is not.

Very very nice”

Ive been there just a night but this small hotel fulfilled me with very warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. They have a private car park where is very near to the hotel. I think this hotel is very nice, good location where is in the walking street, staff were very very nice, the room is fine with full facilities of standard hotel and it was so comfy for me also it was one of a budget hotel in Chiang Khan. Recommended!

Great location and service”

Great place to stay. Our room was number two on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the Mekong river. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. The owner arranged a tuk tuk trip to veiw the fog and the rabbit Wat on the first morning of our stay. On the second morning she had food available for us to give the many monks who walked by on our second morning (cost was 100B for a tray of food and rice). Ask for room two when you make your reservation, definitely the best room in the hotel.

Staff is so nice and room is very satisfly. However hotel is located in middle of walking street and the room is not soundproof so if you want to stay at quite place you may not like it.

Good location ”

The location was great, with the main street being on the entrance side and lovely views of the river from our room at the rear. Its an easy drive to local viewpoints. Although the hotel was old and not what you would call high standard, it was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and very helpful, although I thought having to pay extra for a 10 year old child to stay in an already booked family room was at little cheeky !

You got what you paid..”

Good location but the room is good but not okay for something. The wooden door is hard to close and open so that many insects can come to your room. The blanket is so thin and bed a bit moist. Anyway the owner of hostel is so kind and helpful.

Very nice location, getting up and face the foggy”

Everything was great; the location next to the river which you'll get up and face the foggy all around, give alms to monks, various food along the road, old style night market, the cool weather, precious time with the special ones. Fortunately that the receptionist named "Uan" gave me the room that was unexpected. Because I talked earlier on the phone with a man which assumed the owner, he promised to give me the biggest room. When I checked in, "Uan" took me to the best room. Then we went out for dinner and when we return, she said that another guest made booking for 2 days, so she decided to gave them the biggest room instead of us (we booked only 1 day). I felt sorry that promise could not be true. She changed us to another smaller room next to the best one immediately. We had to packed and moved again, that was sad.
