fantastic hotel for families”
hotel has been taken over by swissotel on 1 april - so after our original booking. we were upgraded from a 2 bed appartment to a 3 bed appartment which was enormous. also had a huge wrap around balcony as it was on the top (3rd) floor of the hotel. kitchen is basically a fridge sink and microwave so no cooker. but it's so cheap to eat oiut we didn't or wasnt going to use that anyway. pool is great and the hotel was busy for easter weekend but quieter afterwards. lots of families and extended families on holiday so wouldnt recommend for young couple. beach is literally a 5 min walk away (if that). best part of kamala beach too as it's away from the main drag. beach was beautiful and wonderful for the children. there was a tsunami alert whilst we were there and we had to evacuate - but this was just a walk up the mountain/hill behind the hotel. we were very lucky and nothing happened. however just be mindful that this could happen and think what you'd need in a grab bag - mosquito repellant - wet and dry flannels - towels to sit on - torch and your valuables and passports (not suitcase just small bag. breakfasts were wonderful withy best poached eggs made to order i've ever tasted. children ate too many of the wonderful pastries though! happy hour (2 for 1) is between 4 and 7 and includes all drinks - even childrens milkshakes so worth having one (or 2) before leaving the pool to get ready for a night out. kamala - as most of phuket is serviced by what they call the taxi mafia - just over priced taxis. grab a taxi from the airport & it's baht. try to get their number to use again if possible. if not it's baht return journey from taxis near hotel.

Comfortable place to stay for families”
Our team of 11 (comprising 6 adults and 5 boys) had a wonderful stay at Swissotel Resort Phuket. The lobby was well laid out, the pool area was beautifully landscaped with a great pool slide for the kids, and the Kids Room is well stocked for the kids to spend a few hours. Service is good too, as additional request for towels and pillow were promptly delivered. Additional mineral water were given too. Breakfast can improved, as the spread is quite limited. But overall, the cafe is comfortable and not too crowded. Although Swissotel is located a little off the main road, amidst the greenery, there are some shops and eateries just outside the hotel. The shops conveniently provide basic amenities such as titbits, toiletries and mineral water. Baan Mai Restaurant just down the access road provides a variety of cuisines, ranging from Thai to Western. It provides a decent meal without having to go out far. Travelling by cab or van can be quite expensive to Kamala Village or Patong. Swissotel is also near to the beach, just 5 to 10 minutes of leisurely stroll away. The sand is fine, the beach is very wide, quiet and serene. The kids enjoy playing on the sand and building sand castles. A very good place to spend the morning. All in all, our family had an enjoyable time there.

Again a fantastic family holiday at the Swissotel”
This was our third visit to Phuket, second to the Swissotel...we love it! Large spacious rooms(we had a two bedroom delux suite)so the kids can get some decent sleep whilst the parents can have their own space. Not on the beach front but only a short five miniute walk to beautiful Kamala beach which is sheltered and safe for little ones, plenty of sunlounges available(200bht/pair). The price for food and drink in the hotel is reasonable although there are plenty of cheaper options along the beach, Smile bar I would recommend for food and drink. The resort pool was clean with plenty of towels/lounges available, the kids love the water slide. Great gym,I should have used it more. We love the breakfast buffet, plenty of variety and regularly topped up. See you next visit Swissotel thanks for another great holiday :)

Great fun for the kids, easy for the adults. Prompt and very helpful staff! ”
We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel staff were prompt and very helpful. The front desk especially helped us a lot in terms of planning activities outside the hotel such as shows, elephant rides, travelling to other beaches and other parts of Phuket Island. The location at Kamala requires a bit of travel to other parts of Phuket as Kamala is a quiet little town. Other than the extra bit we spent on driving around, the vacation went off superbly. Thanks to all the staff at Swissotel who made our trip a breeze.

Would stay again”
It was rainy season in Phuket (June) so going to the beach can be tough. Staying at the Swissotel made everything much easier. The pool was wonderful, the housing was large and clean. The kids room had a wonderful staff and plenty of activities for my daughter. Therefore even though it rained during our three day stay, there was always something to keep us occupied. I would recommend both Swissotel and Kamala beach for those with young children.

Relaxing family holiday”
We really enjoyed our recent 6 night stay at Swissotel, Kamala beach. A short walk to the beach with blue sea and fine sand. Room was a two bedroom unit. Clean and well laid out. Would recommend going for first floor unless you don't mind balcony on the pool side with less privacy. Pool bar and restaurant has children's menu, but staff very accommodating. Friendly service but sometimes slower on the pool side, but if you're not in a hurry then it's no problem. Gym perfectly adequate with free weights, machines, yoga mats and trx. Kids club next door can drop off the kids for free or pay to do some activities, no obligation though. Spa very nice for massage and facial. Good service. A free restaurants nearby the hotel and cafe del Mar where you can get a sun bed and go in the pool for a minimum spend. Short taxi ride (15 minutes) to patong where there's a shopping mall and lots of restaurants. Overall, relaxing and easy going. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Dear Susan Thank you very much for choosing to stay with us at Swissotel Resort Phuket Kamala Beach. I am happy to hear that you have had a fantastic stay and thank you for taking time to share your experience with us. I have noted your feedback about the slow service at the pool. I do agree with you this is still not to my satisfaction as well but we are working on it to improve processes there to make the service faster. I am sorry for this experience. Once again thank you for staying with us and I hope to welcome you back anytime soon! Kind regards Claudio Schibli Hotel Manager Swissotel Resort Phuket Kamala Beach
Great sized rooms, intimate and easy place to stay”
We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. It was a particularly easy place to be with young children if you can manage to secure a ground floor room. The 2 bedroom suites are a great size. I would definitely recommend the ground floor with young children. The food at the restaurant is good quality and reasonably priced. The cocktails could probably do with some improving but the happy hour from 4-7pm every night was still enjoyable. The pool is a good size but not massive however the water slide provided hours of entertainment. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk away but we got used to this and didn't mind it too much. Kamala beach was better than I was expecting. It is a lovely beach with deck chairs and umbrellas for rent a quite a few eating options. The service at the hotel was exceptional with the only negative ebing the staff at the kids club. They didn;t seem too thrilled to have kids there! On the whole I would definitely recommenc Courtyard but do keep in mind it is a small hotel so don't expect large lush grounds etc....

Beautiful Ambience with excellent service staffs”
had an excellent stay at the courtyard. was treated with excellent hospitality from the service staffs that will go all out to ensure a pleasant stay. as it was our first trip to phuket, the staffs assisted us with my locations to visit and what are the to-dos. the suites are spacious and the balcony have an excellent view of the pool area. it is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest kamala beach but is quite a distance from the popular patong beach where all the sea activities and night-life is. usually the hotel will assist with the taxi bookings and will advise on the amount needed. if you are looking for a quiet getaway with your family or loved ones, this is the hotel for you.

Fantastic resort and service”
We booked a one-bedroom deluxe suite for 4 nights. We were surprised upon checking-in that the room was huge. Room had a living room and a separate bedroom with 2 LCD televisions in total. Room had separate aircon controls for the living room and bedroom which was helpful. The room came with a balcony which I recommend staying on higher floors instead of ground level. There were no lifts in the hotel and it is a very nice and quiet location away from Patong. If you need to travel, I suggest renting a motorbike just outside the hotel or you can choose to take the taxi services as well. Breakfast everyday was very good with slight variation each day. One thing about the breakfast was that it was until 11am which is pretty cool. You could eat a late breakfast and skip lunch and have dinner somewhere else. The resort caters a lot to the family crowd from what we've observed. They had a decently large pool with a waterslide as well. Kamala beach would be quite disappointing unless you are a surfer. The nicer and cleaner beaches are still Patong and Karon from what we've experienced so far. All in all, I would definitely come back to stay here again. It was a great and relaxing experience. Just a last note, staff service was excellent in all aspects.

Excellent Stay”
Suite was very spacious and clean with nice wood panel floors. The hotel is dated in its decor but was very well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful, always available. Kids room was clean, fun and well staffed. Buffet breakfast had a good assortment and was always well stocked. Located at the north end of Kamala beach it is a little isolated compared with our other stays in Phuket. On the other hand the beach is less crowded and there are plenty of taxis and tuk-tuks at the hotel. The walk to Kamala city takes about 1 hour with a 4 year old. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Nice resort hotel that has seen better days”
This is a full resort complete with massive pool (+ pool bar) amazingly big rooms and fairly luxurious surroundings. The hotel is quite dated however and good have been better maintained as it is in obvious need of a renovation. The rooms are wonderful (although our bathroom had a bit of a wobbly sink and was rather small given the huge size of the room/living room), the pool is fantastic and has the best water slide I've seen outside of a theme park and gym is quite good too. Kamala beach is fairly nice for beaches on the north of the island (probably the best after the finer sand beaches in the south like Kata/Karon) and for Phuket is fairly clean, although there were works going on at Cafe Del Mar which were a bit intrusive. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is overpriced and a bit mediocre. Location is fairly remote and quiet but would definitely recommend for a family with a car (there are a few local shops/restaurants next to the hotel but the nearest ones apart from these are not really walkable)

Dear Daniel Thank you very much for staying with us at Swissotel Resort Phuket Kamala Beach. I am glad you have had an enjoyable stay with us and thank you for taking time to let us know your feedback. Yes I do admit that our bathrooms of our 2-bedroom suites are a bit small. Unfortunately there is little we can do at this stage about it. I have noted your feedback about the breakfast. We are currently working together with our F&B team to create a new breakfast experience which will be soon available for our guests. Our location is quite accurately marked here on Agoda, so all our guests are very well aware. It is only about 10-15 minutes walk to Kamala Beach and only 20 minutes drive to Patong. We are offering a daily shuttle service to Patong for our guests. Once again thank you for staying with us and I hope to welcome you back anytime soon! Kind regards Claudio Schibli Hotel Manager Swissotel Resort Phuket Kamala Beach
Relaxing in the Sun @ Swissotel Kamala ”
Hotel has a chalet and family oriented feel. The beach in Kamala is not as crowded as Patong. Beautiful place for families to rest and relax. Facilities like Kid's World and playground keep the young ones occupied. The slide in the pool was another added attraction for the children. There is a shuttle service to Patong beach at the hotel but restricted to 2 shifts per day only. Would have been better if there were more time slots available. Hotel food was good but should cater for Halal food as there is a sizeable number of Muslims in Phuket and Muslim visitors from SEA and the Middle East. The location is also very near to Phuket Fantasea which is great as visitors don't have to travel far after the show ended. Will come back again and recommend friend and relatives....

Good Choice”
It’s my first stay at Swissotel Resort. I have stayed in Kamala Bay over ten years ago before the tsunami struck about eleven years ago. The Swissotel is located up high on the ridge away from the sea. This is a safe location and I could sleep well at night. The resort provided transportation to Patong Beach twice a day. I used this shuttle since it’s much cheaper than a taxi. I liked the room up on the third floor. I walked down to the beautiful beach several times. I liked the area around the hotel for it's privacy. The pool is very nice with a water slide. The gym was also good and I used it almost daily. Pool bar and restaurant were both very good. It’s not far to Kamala Town with restaurants and shopping. The quiet area is very peaceful at night and lack of noise make it a good relax. The hotel is usually full of tourists. The rooms are nice and very comfortable. Room service is good and fast to respond. The bed is very comfortable as well. Staff are friendly and speak English very well. They always greet guests and do a nice job. Customer service is a high point. The best thing about this hotel is it's close to the beach area and not far from town. It’s sometimes booked to capacity due to large tour groups in Kamala Bay. The restaurant is very good and room service is good. Breakfast is good and they serve a large delicious selection of foods both Thai and western. I would recommend this hotel over many other hotels in Kamala Bay. An excellent location the relax and enjoy your family time.

Nice 2 BR suite for family stay!”
Stayed for 4 days with family of 5( kids ages 9,12,14). Front desk helped us to organize excursions . Pros- 2 BR suite with kitchenette. Big, open living space to spread out. Couch can be made into a day bed. Our room opened on ground floor with easy access to pool. Many daily activities for kids and adults Pool slide was fun for all ages. Bikes for rent on the property. Could not hear any noise from pool or next door rooms from our room. Local restaurants within walking distance. We tried Baan Mai- extensive selection of Thai food and pasta/pizza too. Taxi service located outside and was readily available at rates that were competitive ( and cheaper than using Grab app). Cons Had to cross road to get to Kamala beach. Sometimes there was a crossing guard to help with this. We didn’t have a problem. Bathroom was small for our family of 5( not much counter space). Overall, we made the right choice to stay here. Family friendly resort and town.

Great family holiday ”
Just had the best family Holiday at Swissotel Kamala Beach, the pool was so close to our room and loved the size of the resort you did not have to go far to use facilities. Loved the laid back vibe of Kamala Beach compared to Patong. A special mention to Kit at the restaurant he made breakfast great everyday.

Overall nice experience with some negatives”
We stayed here for 3 nights in 2 bedroom deluxe suite. Overall it was a great experience! Pros: Nice clean, big room with pool view. Good room service. Very good breakfast menu. Dinner buffet was good. Kids club, Swimming pool & gym facilities were nice. Outside the hotel there is a convenience shop, restaurant, tuk tuk & taxi service. Free buggy to Kamala beach. Very near to Fantasea. Very calm area Cons: The hotel does not have elevator, so it was very painful to climb 4 floors all the time. 1 bathroom for 2 bedroom suite.

Dear Ravindran Thank you very much for staying with us at Swissotel Resort Phuket Kamala Beach. I am happy to hear that you have had a nice experience with us and thank you for letting us know your feedback. Yes unfortunately we do not have elevators in the building due to the special architecture. The positive side is that all our rooms have pool and garden view on both ends of the rooms, always only 8 rooms share a private corridor/entrance and each room features a large poolside balcony. Once again thank you for staying with us! Kind regards Claudio Schibli Hotel Manager Swissotel Resort Phuket Kamala Beach
Almost a 4* hotel...”
I staid with my 2 kids for 4 days at this resort and had a fairly good time. What was good about this hotel are the size of the rooms, the relaxed breakfast/dining zone and the service. What was not so good are the location, the size of the bathroom and the darkness of the rooms. Check-in is only at 3pm so we had to wait 2 hours for our room, but were served refreshments in the lobby. We booked a pool access room but unlike other hotels this means just a room on ground floor level close to the pool not a room with direct access to pool. The room had 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a big lounge, 3 TVs but unfortunately the smallest shower room I have seen for a long time. Also the curtains of the main window had to be closed every time somebody used the bathroom. The room had very little natural daylight coming in, which made the room quite dark. The breakfast was good and quite extensive, but note that there was no smoked salmon, no muesli, no low fat options and a very limited choice of cheese. The hotel also has a very relaxed pool bar with 2 hours of Happy Hour every day. The location of the hotel is bad if you don't have your own transport because Kamala beach is not the most beautiful of beaches in Phuket. It has coarse sand and is not as well kept as Kata beach. However, the hotel is within driving distance of Laem Singh beach and Surin beach which are beautiful. Surin is also excellent for evening dining on the beach. Both my son and I got food poisoning whilst we were there, but cannot guarantee it was from the food in the hotel. We had to call a private doctor which was expensive. We paid 10,000 baht for 2 consultations with medication. The hotel also made sure they looked after us after they knew we were sick. The food and beverage manager came to the room on a regular basis to offer us light food options in order to get better. They really went out of their way to make us feel better. Overall, we had a pleasant and relaxed stay but I think Phuket has bett

superb”
We love this hotel and we would return back for sure. We were here previously in Dec 2012 when it was called Marriot at the Courtyard. Now it is Swisshotel. At check-in, staff received us as though we were here only last week. Our rooms were upgraded to 3-bedroom and we got a very nice 3rd floor unit near the corner of the hotel and our balcony faces the hills at Kamala. Breakfast were superb! The gym, the equipment and the ambience to work out at any time of the day is so motivating. Kamala beach as usual is ever so beautiful and relaxing to be. Check-out formality was done in seconds! We would come back again to this hotel for sure.

Family friendly hotel”
Stayed for 8 days. The hotel location is 5 mins to Kamala Beach. The beach is beautiful. The kids enjoyed themselves tremendously. There's food easily available at the beach. The staff overall are great except the F&B breakfast staff. The F&B breakfast staff were not as friendly except Leo. He was fantastic! The recreation manager Yahya was superb too! We felt welcome and will definitely come back again. If Swissotel could have some halal menu that caters to Muslim guests that would be perfect!
