Fantastic, Cozy, Affordable”

I stayed at the Thavorn Beach Resort&Spa for four days(my roomate booked for another two nights) with my high school friends. To be honest, the hotel truly offered me a delightful experience in Phuket. First of all, I appreciate the passion that the stuff there had constantly shown. Check-in and Check-out processes were both easy and efficient to manage. Most reception members can speak good English, so communication won't be a problem. Room service was impecabble I would say. Everyday when I returned to my room, it felt like it was the first day I stepped in. Laundry service was swiftly done. Whereever and whenever I walked in the hotel, there was always someone gave me a warm greeting. The environment that the hotel tries to show was also captivating for me. One landmark of the hotel is its gardens. There are different themes of several unique gardens, each decorated by various flowers and plants. More than that, the hotel also has a lot of precious and long-living Bonsais; they really gave some fresh marks to tourists living here I guess. The private beach made the hotel stand out compared with others. It was quiet but lively. We spent our afternoon time there, just enjoying the smooth sea breeze and chatting with each other. Couldn't think any better way to spend a cozy and lazy afternoon lol The location is also very nice. We frequently went to Paton's town at night, and it only took 10-15mins to the town. The hotel also offers vans to send groups to place they want to go. I'm really satisfied with my room, as it was so affordable and wonderful to stay. The view from my room is fantastic. I could overlook the entire beach from my balcony. If I ever had a chance to visit Phuket again, I would definitely choose the Thavorn again. It worthes it. Enough to say.

Beautiful Resort. Great customer service!!”

This is the second time I have stayed at the Thavorn Beach Resort and it is a beautiful resort. It has large pools a beautiful tropical garden and lovely rooms. Pool access rooms are very nice and the convienience is worth the extra $. The beach front cottages are modern and offer stunning views of the ocean and you can hear the waves from your room. I had a slight problem with noise from construction near my room but after speaking with management they sorted this out straight away. It’s only a 10 minutes drive from Patong beach and the hotel does offer a limited number of shuttles into town. They have an on-site massage spa and cooking classes. There are also activities through out the day, and you can rent snorkels to check out the beach life underwater. I would definitely recommend the Thavorn Beach Resort to anyone wanting a beautiful and relaxing resort stay!

Loved our stay ”

We loved our stay in the Thavorn Beach Village & Spa. Staff members are very cordial and well mannered - always ready to help. The location of the hotel is also very good. We were upgraded to a better spacious room and the view was simply breathtaking. We also enjoyed the spa facilities in the hotel. Thavorn is a good hotel, slightly (3-4 Kms) away from Patong and ideal for travelers who want to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Andaman sea. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxed holiday. On improvement front, the hotel needs to provide wi-fi facility in rooms. Additionally some times the tram journey to ferry passengers up and down the hill becomes cumbersome and boring because the trams move very slowly. Overall, we loved it and would love to go back again.

Best Hospitality and Brilliant Resort ”

Fantastic hotel in a great location. We stayed here as a couple in their Beach cottage. The room area was lovely with a really comfortable bed,TV, and lots of storage space. The bathroom featured a spacious walk in and shower. The room was modern and extremely comfortable with quick access to the beach. The staff were amazing, efficient and always smiling! Yanna was our personal companion and did a great job making our stay memorable. Food was fantastic as was the pool area. We loved our stay at Thavorn beach village resort and spa.

A Great Value, Good Service Oasis Near Patong”

I had a lovely time at Thavorn Beach Village- not a t all high end, but a tranquil green old world oasis yet modern amenities and accessible to Patong. There is a free one-way shuttle in 3 times daily. Be prepared to spend 250-400 baht ($10-12 AU/US) for a taxi or tuk tuk back, however or to nearby Kamala. The daily buffet breakfast in the main restaurant is ample and diverse, catering to both western and Asian palates. Staff almost all warm, helpful and friendly, help prompt and thorough.If you get tired of the restaurant food or prices, I recommend Paradise View Point cafe up the hill and the night market in downtown Patong, near where the hotel shuttle bus drops you off, is another great option for cheap, fresh and delicious food. I highly recommend Thavorn for couples, families and solo travellers alike.

Lovely getaway! ”

Thavorn beach village is a lovely resort with an amazing pool! We stayed for 3 nights and then an extra one as the plane home was cancelled! The rooms were great, we stayed hillside for the first 3, which was nice, the cable car is slow but it eases you in to being more relaxed. Then we stayed in a lagoon room for our last night which was incredible. Highly recommend. Staff were friendly. The resort restaurants are expensive but there is a free shuttle in to Patong for cheaper eating options and taxis are readily available to take you elsewhere. Breakfast was great, although can get busy so go earlier. Food was delicious, happy hour great and very comfortable beds! Can’t wait to come back.

Enchanting garden”

The pictures of Thavorn Beach Village and Spa don't do this place justice! It happens rarely to stay in a nicer place than one expects. The whole "village" is swimming in well- tended greenery, staff seem to love working there and they are relaxed and very friendly and helpful. Even the fact that our room got flooded (twice) didn't spoil our stay and I will happilly (and hopefully) return again!

Beautiful”

Thavorn is beautiful. The sculptures and landscape are incredible. A taste of both the jungle and the beach was amazing. Mosquitoes are a part of the jungle so that is not wonderful but they are well prepared with body spray and pleasant smelling deterrents for the pesky things. The morning breakfast was great as well as several eateries on property. The price for food is high especially compared to the wonderful eateries around Phuket easily accessible with the daily trolley into Patong. The spa is head to toe a fabulous experience. Spa was pricey, again, compared to in town but a full-body experience worth every penny.

Awesome Resort”

It was an awesome stay at Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa Phuket. The kids enjoyed their play at pool and beach. The food served were sumptuous. We had a great time there.

Best place to unwind and relax”

Our first time in Phuket and Thavorn Beach was the best place to celebrate our first wedding anniversary with their private beach and very quiet atmosphere. It's quiet far from the buzzing Phuket beach which we love. They resort provide a free scheduled shuttle ride though to Phuket beach. Love their very accommodating staff as well.

Fantastic, idyllic resort ”

Had an amazing experience at Thavorn. From the moment I arrived I was greeted warmly by the staff. The resort has fantastic facilities and my room was a definite highlight. I stayed in the Hillside Beach facing with Jacuzzi room. It was clean, spacious, had a massive comfy bed and gorgeous view of the ocean. The restaurants served up beautiful Thai food and it was wonderful having a private beach which was quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend!!! Will definitely return on my next visit to Phuket.

Perfect holiday”

We had 8 nights in a two room hillside room- the rooms were well appointed with a huge terrace with jacuzzis ( best to run any external jacuzzi to "clean" out the system - it may not have been used for sometime). The grounds, landscape and the animals make for a stunning setting. Fantail doves, rabbits, chickens, tortoise and goats along with some of the best orchids and other exotic flowers add to the overall impression. There is cable car to these rooms which we found nice and relaxing- it makes you slow down and relax. The location is not that far from Patong and the main shopping and nightlife. We would have given it 5 stars but one of the in-rooms safes never worked and they couldn't fix it- they did offer a move but as we had one safe which was working we stayed put, but it would be a big issue if we only had one room. The view from the terrace and the rooms was fantastic. The food and drinks are high for Thailand- but we had a tremendous dinner on the beach. The free form pool is huge and we had breakfast poolside every morning( Big selection) They run a free shuttle to Patong but the timings make it not convenient for a dinner in town but we had a hire car. This was our second visit to Phuket and we drove up to Phang Nga park and hired a longtail at a pier for a private tour around James Bond island etc. I must give a mention to Sunrise Divers and Jamie Monk ( check his blogs if you want to know anything about Phuket) my daughter did her Advanced Open Water with them and had a great time. We intend to return to Thavorn in the future.

Great place for children”

We stayed at Thavorn for 3 days only as it was fully booked for subsequent days. It's conveniently located at secluded beach and further away from the main road. There is a shuttle bus to Patong Beach (5-10 mins by car) unless you have your own transport. Hotel is located among lush vegetation and it's difficult to fully grasp the size of resort as roomsa are hidden away. A number of rooms are located on the steep hill serviced by small cable car which children enjoyed riding daily. There is plenty of activities to entertain the children at least for several days; orchid garden, chicken, rabbits, turtles and baby elephant (takes a stroll along the beach every afternoon). Kids loved the pool and spending time with animals. Service and choice of food is good. I'd definitely come back for longer next time.

Traditional, quiet and with the biggest swimming pool”

This hotel was built in the mid 80's. it is beautifully traditional - but that does also mean that it is not modern styled - more quirky. It has big rooms, some on the hill side needing a shuttle train / cable car to get to them. It has beautiful gardens and is secluded and quiet - yet just 15 minutes from all the madness of Patong or the quieter Kamala beach in the opposite direction. The beach is lovely at high tide but does show all the rocks and uneven surfaces when at low tide. Swimming in / getting into the sea is not so easy, but the pool is huge and works its way around the front of resort and amongst the gardens. Food and drink prices are typically above the street prices but not over the top - this is a hotel after all! The staff are excellent, polite and willing to assist. Rooms are huge and very well cleaned. Yes they may look a bit tired, but they are traditional and need maintaining (anything from the 80's does - including some readers of this note!) - but it is so much better than changing them to be be ultra modern style. If you are not in a hurry to get anywhere, or do anything, then this is the place for you.

BEAUTIFUL RESORT”

I loved my time at Thavorn. It is a beautifully laid out resort with an interesting pool design. Some of my highlights were: patio leading out directly onto pool (through private gate), monitor lizard that I saw twice during my 2 day stay, met some lovely people, beautiful garden areas, sweet, wild rabbit, excellent Mai Tai's, huge room and bathroom, with choice of spa bath or shower, great variety of breakfast choices, excellent views inside and out - could see the pool and the sea from where I was Downsides: every time I ventured out to the sea, the rocks/reef were covered with water so had to wade far out through that to get to a spot where I could float/swim - a bit challenging although it does mention the tides and the rocks on their website so I was aware of this; offers THB 150 discount if cleaners skip cleaning room for a day, but on checkout was told it was a voucher offered (which I couldn't use as I was leaving) not cash, so was a bit irritated by that.

Excellent, words can't describe the experience”

I have been visiting Phuket since last 10 years but this property i must say a GEM in Phuket. A true five star resort with excellent staff, big rooms, lovely thai food, beautiful private beach and an amazing mesmerizing old Siam style garden. This is not a resort but a small estate, beach cottages, garden cottages, even villas on hills that are accessible via in-house chairlift make it one of a kind. I have never seen such variety in one resort. Old Siam restaurant is a bit expensive but Thai food is lovely. They even provided an extra bed for my Son without any charge and booking,. The whole resort has wifi access even at the pool area and some outside area as well. No super market or restaurant nearby (use foodpanda), Kitchen is mentioned in Hill Side 1-bedroom suite at Agoda website but hotel is no more providing Kitchenette in any of the rooms now. No complain, one point for improvement is to include some Indian food in breakfast to favor lot of Indian subcontinent tourists.

Excellent stay”

We had a lovely time at Thavorn Beach Phuket. The staff were lovely and made our stay very enjoyable, the location of the resort is perfect and the food in the restaurants were great.

Beautiful resort”

Choosing to stay at Thavorn Beach Village was a great decision. The hotel has beautiful landscape and gardens. The service was also very good. I would definitely recommend this resort and would return here in the future.

Great Facilities”

It's our second time staying at Thavorn, first time we stayed at the Beach Cottage. Outdoor shower was fantastic, and it was very close to the private beach. This time we stayed at the Pool Access Room as we had a seven year old child, the pool access was great. There were hens/ rabbits running around the resort, frogs at night & daily sessions with parrots and turtles offers a bit more activities for children (and adults too). Food & Services at the restaurant was great, staff are very attentive and efficient. Food was pretty good, except I ordered this creamy seafood soup, they've added cabbage in there. Taste was good however wasn't expecting veggies in a creamy seafood soup. Tried to take a bath and then realised there's no hot water for bath-tube (room 2119 on Nov 13-15), bit annoyed, and can't be bother to ring up the room service to report the incident in the middle of the night. In general, we enjoyed our stay at Thavorn and woudl recommend our friends to stay.

Quiet, relaxed hotel. ”

This was the third time I'd stayed at Thavorn Beach Village and was quite a let-down compared to my past experiences. Upon checking in, I was told I was being 'upgraded' to an ocean view room. i requested a pool view as I liked to be close to the pool area however I was told this was not possible. To access the ocean view villas, guests are required to use a precarious cable car that traverses the hill at the rear of the resort. Besides the annoyance of having to wait for the cable car every time you wanted to leave your room, the trip took at least 10 minutes to traverse the hill. I ended up walking the 500m up and down the hill each time to save the hassle. Service seemed to be lacking from previous times I've stayed, however the overall experience was still very good. Thavorn is a relaxing, quiet stay in Phuket if you want to relax. However the location is about a ten minute drive from Patong.
