Hidden treasure on Koh Larn”

I had an incredible stay at The Castello on Koh Larn. It is off the beaten track, which provides a quieter stay. Great free breakfast, super helpful staff, and very clean rooms with balconies. Thought it was a pretty good price considering all of the amenities, including a restaurant (although I didn't eat there outside of breakfast). Has a great outdoor space, including a garden and a large seating area out front with lights hanging from trees. Although a little farther away from the main town on Koh Larn, it is still walkable, and The Castello also provides shuttle services to both the town and one of the beaches. Other option is to rent a motorbike. Highly recommend for families, couples, and other solo travelers!

Staff is really friendly”

Initially was hesistant to book as read a review regarding the toilet. But nevertheless still went ahead with my guts. My friends like it too. For a small place like this to offer breakfast was really sumptous. And staff are really friendly. Don’t worry about your language barrier as the owner speaks really good english. Give some time to wait for the shuttle. It will come but really take some time. Also the hotel cares for the guests. Me and my friends sign up for the squid fishing and it actually ended 1hr early and left us stranded at parade square(some scam by the tour company). Castello actually called the tour company to fetch us back! Kudos to castello

Not too bad.”

Warm welcome appreciated, a quiet place with good environment but not too easy to access regarding the construction around the resort. Nice place with theme decoration but overall facilities is not too good; small toilet and shower room and no hair dryer. Castello Resort will be my first place of consideration if I have a chance to stay at Koh Larn next time. Thank you very much.

Pleasant Stay with Good Environment”

I stayed in The Castello for 3 Nights, had a pleasant stay and the place though situated a little further away from the Pier which walking distance is around 8 Mins to 10 Mins, but I think is worth it as the place looks good with the well kept garden and has good breakfast served. Staffs are good and can speak quite good english. Best advice, get a bike so that you can explore the whole Koh Larn.

Lovely hotel”

The hotel was nice, good interior, clean and cozy plus the staffs were so friendly. The breakfast included and it had thai food and american food that they were so delicious. If you have a chance to stay in Koh Larn so don’t forget to list this hotel in the first list.

Enjoy my time at castello”

My friend and I stayed for 1 night at the castello resort and the experience was great. The staff are all very nice, the service is good (they picked us up at the pier and took us to the sawaen beach free of charge). The decor is vintage and quite girly and we love it. The breakfast choices are limited but for me it's ok. Overall, a definitely recommend the castello resort!

hotel is nice, rooms are small but good enough for 2 people. but the best part is staff's behavior and helpful nature. also, the food is really good. A must visit place (Koh Larn), and preferred place to stay!

Watch out stray dogs!”

Room was clean, with hot water, AC worked well. Reception is helpful, speaking intermediate English. Breakfast was acceptable, buffet-like arranged in the hotel's restaurant. The best part is the territory of the hotel, which is somewhat Toscana styled. In terms of design, a lot of small details in the landscape design make it quite unique for such a place as Koh Larn. Moto bikes for rent on the premises at the market rates. (The service is not part of the hotel) The disadvantage is the location - it is situated in the middle of nowhere. If you do not rent a bike - you gonna stay in after 10 pm as there is noway to walk anywhere and you will be eaten alive by the dogs. Google maps are useless there. If you drive motorbike - watch out stray dogs, which are human size there, running around and attacking everyone passing by. There are 2 small sois(streets) leading to the hotel,each of those are infested with huge, disgusting, ugly, sick, itching stray dogs. I struggled each time on my way back to the hotel, being chased and attacked by that dogs. Forget about walking there with your kids. For this very reason, as a Pattaya expat and a regular traveller to Koh Larn, I really doubt I will come back, unless the price will be well below market or the dogs problem will be solved.

A relaxing place and near to all nice 5 beaches”

I stayed with my almost 6 yrs old daughter and a nanny. The Deluxe Double room that we got was big enough for 4 adults. The room has two queen size beds. The A/C and hot water worked great. The bathroom is small but it works if you just need to do your daily bathroom business. The room comes with small fridge; no safe. The staff were all very friendly and always smiled at us. The shuttle was free from hotel to Naban Pier and back. I just called the hotel when we were close to the pier and we did not have to wait for it for a long time to come on variety of times that I called. We used the hotel shuttle everyday at least twice a day for 5 days. From Naban Pier, we just took the truck taxi and the cost for each 5 beaches that the island has was 30 bhat each one-way. It was easy to get truck taxi from/to any of the beaches. The breakfast buffet was great. My daughter ate breakfast everyday and she enjoyed picking fresh flowers from the garden to give to me. She also enjoyed walking around the gardens and explored. The hotel is very clean but I highly recommend to bring lots of mosquito sprays. The hotel is conveniently located to the main town. We walked it many times from the hotel to the main town where the Naban Pier is. I will stay in this hotel again and I highly recommend for anyone who's traveling with kids and wants a quiet place. I felt relaxed in this hotel. I felt like it was more of a retreat place than a hotel because of it's nice gardens and overlooking a top of a mountain. The facility is a Tuscany kind of decor and the gardens.

Good Breakfast, cute room, scary alleys”

The Castello was difficult to find with Google Maps, google maps told us to take a local alley that did not go through so just stick to the main roads and you will be find. Our room was super cute once we arrived with great AC, a fridge and good windows. I love dogs but a dog in the street right outside tried to bite me and then the dogs in every alley there after were a bit frightening. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the smoothies you can buy looked amazing (but we didn't try) The shuttle to the beaches are kind of a joke and ran on awkward schedules and didn't actually drop us off anywhere near where we wanted to be. The staff was relatively friendly, not super helpful and there was only one girl with good English. Overall we did enjoy our stay.

If you ever stayed at neighbouring Pattaya and all the riffraff, this is a very welcome escape. Actually friendly staff, anywhere near Pattaya? Wow! (seriously, these guys are amazing) Not being ripped off for rides, by the hotel? So great! (yes, these guys give you rides) Very chill place, cute, good breakfast? Check, and check. Recommended.

Lovely hotel with romantic garden”

not so far away from the port, you can contact the hotel in advance for the transport service from the port to the resort and vice versa. It is more easily to move around the island with a motorbike from the hotel. the room is big, not the breakfast was satisfactory, the garden is fantastic. Staff is very friendly and hospitably.

Fine for a night or two”

When we arrived at the pier we called the hotel and they immediately sent the van to pick us up. We struggle a bit to understand exactly where to meet the driver, but eventually, we spotted the branded van and the driver with a branded T-shirt. We arrived at the hotel early, but the receptionist was kind enough to allow us to leave our bags there and relax in the breakfast area. He also helped us to sort out some issues we had with our transport for the next day back to Pattaya. There were, however, other staff members we were very rude and unhelpful. One lady literally walked away when she didn't understand us. I realize that English isn't their first language, but I think she could've handled it better. The hotel from the outside is colorful and stylish. The decor at the reception and in the room is also lovely. The garden, however, is a bit run down. The white towels in our room looked very dirty. It could be because they are white and old, but we didn't use it. Other than that the room had everything we need. The bathroom had a terrible smell though. Still can't figure out what it was, but it was almost unbearable. Na Ban pier (the closest restaurants and shops) is a 5-minute walk away from the hotel, but I won't recommend that at night. You have to walk through a dark alley to get there which to me didn't feel safe at all. During the day the hotel has a shuttle that goes to the beach every hour, so if you don't want to walk at night be sure to have dinner before it gets dark and catch a ride with the driver. The smell in the bathroom made my stay less enjoyable and I was happy to only stay there 1 night, but it still is a nice hotel.

One of the best hotel in Ko Larn”

I booked this hotel for my aunt, but I saw the room and the hotel, it was much better than ours, very cute room, even better looking than on the pictures. Free shampoo and shower gel, according to my aunt review: free breakfast was better than average. Not close to the beach, about 15 minutes walk (if you're not driving) but the area around is good, a lot of cute hotels and cafes around, its quiet too.

We booked The castello Resort on 2018,May 29-30. but why we have got Sukkee Island Resort? (next blue color building) We want to stay The castello resort, not Sukkee Island resort. We stayed at The castello Resort. and we love this resort. But this time, why? Really liked the environment in Castello，great atmosphere， it's not far from the pier so you can either walk for a few minutes for a dinner or take free transport offered by the resort. However, the hygiene of the toilet is somewhat unbearable, you will not like the smell...

Nice little hotel on island”

When i arrived the island, i called the hotel and they sent a shuttle to pick me up, free of charge. The hotel was not in the beach area and the road was not quite smooth, surrounding area was underconstruction but the hotel itself was very charming, flowery and warm decoration. The front staff was very informative and helpful, however the maid didnt finish her cleanning by leaving the previous guest's wet pants in the toilet. So, i'm not sure if she did clean my room or not. The internet signal was weak and the cable tv had 3 channels. The breakfast was good, nothing else can say. The room was in good design, no hair-dryer but it was not a big deal if you have prepared yours. I was satisfied with this hotel, but next time i will try on new one.
