Amazing! 5 star experience”

Usually stay in beach bungalows in Thailand but the weather turned into a monsoon so we decided to check into a hotel with WIFI and a pool and gym for 4 days to have some creature comforts! That's exactly what we got. Before we even arrived here Fair House reservations team rescued us from our previous hotel in a monsoon with one of their taxis through 1m high water. We were hugely grateful! From the moment we arrived we were treated so well by the friendly reception staff and a buggy organised to take us to our beautiful spacious room (8502) near all the facilities. The room was very clean and had a huge bathroom. A fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar, TV and safe. It was serviced daily and even a lovely oil burner set up to make it smell fresh! Free beach towels and umbrellas provided. The restaurant manager is wonderful. So helpful, thoughtfully reserving a table close to the food stations for us as my partner uses crutches and can't walk far. The food is lovely. Make sure you get breakfast included and have the omelettes! Delicious. The gardens are lush and very well kept with hidden tables and a pagoda to sit in and read etc. The beach is gorgeous and kept clean and the bar is really nice to relax in. There is also a pool table. The gardeners work very hard to keep everything perfect. The WIFI is fast and works perfectly at all times in all areas and the room. There were a few power cuts due to the weather but power was restored within 5 minutes each time and torches provided in each room anyway so not a problem. They've thought of everything in advance! This hotel is well managed with friendly attentive staff and lots of smiles all round :) There's a 7/11 and pharmacy 1 min walk for supplies if you need. And a reasonably priced taxi service on site. A nice place to unwind”

We are just back from our 4th stay at the Fair House Beach Resort. The fact that we keep going back says something. The beautiful clean beach here is the big draw. The Fair House is quite inexpensive compared to some of the other nearby properties. Staff is helpful and pleasant and the restaurant serves good food, especially at dinner. There are a number of good local food options nearby as well as 7-Eleven and Family Mart. Most of the other guests were German and Russian. Breakfasts are decent, not spectacular, but there is a good variety of options. I don’t care for their coffee – so if good coffee is important to you, bring your own. You may also want to bring mosquito repellant. The rooms are getting worn a bit, but are pretty acceptable for the price. We love being able to get a spot right on the beach. We don’t go there to sit in a room. We did encounter a bit of an issue on this trip, which has now been resolved – but it is something that anyone booking here with Agoda should be aware of. I had booked a Grand Deluxe Bungalow (which is beachfront.) When we were checking in, the clerk showed us on a map where our room was located – and it wasn’t beach front. I explained that there was a mistake, and we started to compare notes. It turns out that my confirmation from Agoda was indeed for a “Grand Deluxe Bungalow” but through booking.com, Agoda had told the hotel I had booked a “Deluxe Bungalow.” I was shown the email from booking.com to the hotel. We got a manager involved. Mim called Agoda on our behalf and it was worked out that we would get the Grand Deluxe Bungalow, but that I would have to pay for the upgrade from the Deluxe – and then send the receipts in to Agoda and they would reimburse me for the extra cost. Getting the receipts to them turned out to be a hassle, but I am now able to report that the refund has gone through. In my opinion, the hotel handled this well and made sure we were satisfied. Restful, beautiful location and grounds”

We prefer to be out of the nightlife area and in natural settings. Fair House provided just that--a quiet place with older clientele where you can relax, listen to the waves, walk through the gardens and smell the wonderful scent of plumeria flowers in the air. The facilities are a little older, but well cared for. We highly recommend one of the bungalows near the beach. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous at the Sea Paint restaurant right by the sea. The supper fare was a little less "wow," but the French fries are the best we've ever had. The tour coordinator was very helpful and informative. We would definitely return here when visiting Koh Samui again.

Best Place in Koh Samui”

Best place to relax and have fun in Koh Samui. Hotel is located right on the best beach of Koh Samui. Vegetarian food is an issue but gets compensated by nearby restaurants available. Key attractions of this island are located in a vicinity and can be explored by hiring a bike available at a reasonable cost in the hotel itself. To enjoy the best part of thailand you need to stay here for 3 Nights.

Nice hotel complex ”

+ big hotel complex with its own private roads, 2 pools and Fitness + direct access to nice and clean Chaweng Noi Beach + quiet and relaxing location + long ways on areal can be done by free golf cart + got a free Room Upgrade + nice Restaurant o average breakfast buffet - miserable and expensive laundry service. Normally you pay 40/50 Baht per kg. Here you pay per trousers etc. They have managed it to make a trousers dirtier then before and destroy an underpants and a bra!!!

Very good hotel with great accommodation”

we stayed at fair house beach resort and the accommodation was wonderful. we had free upgrading to the superior rooms at the new building, which was fantastic. the hotel is huge and in the middle of beautiful and well treated garden. the only problem we had was that the restaurant is not prepared to serve meals after lunch and dinner time, the kitchen was closed and we had to opt for simple sandwiches. anyway, this is a recommended hotel where anyone will have a pleasant stay like we had.

Great beach for little children”

Pluses: + Excellent beach, probably the best on Koh Samui. Shallow enough for kids. + Huge hotel territory, very green and well designed. Minuses: - Lost of mosquitoes in the evenening. There is a little dirty river between Fair House Resort and the next hotel First House. I guess mosquitoes come form there. - Many homeless dogs on the beach, swimming togethere with people and peeing under the sun beds and sun umbrellas. And stuff doesn't care. - Stuff is friendly but speaks very little English. Even senior managers on the reception are generally not helpfull because they simply don't understand what you are asking for. Rooms: Main Building: very old and very far from the beach. Keep away from Main Building. Bungallows: are quite old but still very spacy and comfortable. All are well located. But be cautious of doubled bungallows which accomodate two families separated only by a thin wooden door. You hear everything that you neighbours are saying and doing. Garden View Building: quite old rooms but very spacious and close to the beach. New Deluxe Grand Building: new and comfortable rooms, not far from the beach. Most expensive.

The Fair House Hotel Resort is located just out of town. You can either walk to town or grag the local tuks to town. The restaurant is right on the beach and breakfast views in the morning are fantastic. The pool area is very well maintained and the beach is foot stepts away.

Spacious, clean extra large king bed, the best service & staff located on a beautiful beach! Our pick up & return to the airport were prompt, and the staff made us comfortable and pampered. We loved our stay at Fair House Beach Resort!

Fantastic place, coming back for sure”

we loved this hotel so much that´ we booked it 2 times. The hotel terrain is insanely beautiful. Like a beautiful jungle resort lined with flowers and plants. We stayed in a bungalow and in the standard room and were impressed by how clean, comfortable and spacious everything was. Breakfast was an absolute hit, offering everything you could desire. The restaurant food here is OK but much too expensive. Thats the only negative thing, but there are many other delicious and cheap restaurants in walking distance. The beach which belonging to the Hotel ist amazing. Perfect water for jumping in the waves and not too shallow. also with a playground for kids and sandtoys. We loved it here! came here in april and the hotel wasnt crowded at all. The staff is also excellent but could speak better english. Coming back again for sure.

The resort is part of Chaweng Noi beach which is abt 15 minutes during from Chaweng downtown..”

The resort is very large consisting in few main houses with 2 floors each and several bungalows, it is on uphill and require an electric car for transportation from one side to the other, car provided by resort reception located at the main street. The restaurant and bar are on the beach and the food it's for a 4 star hotel, it was a very pleasant time to serving breakfast and dinner so close to sea. The beach is provided with free sun beds and umbrellas, it is large and with coconut trees on the side. The sea is quite quick deep for the smaller kids and with medium to large waves in the period where we visited (Jan). Outside of resort it's almost nothing to visit, few hotels are up down of the main street on the walking distance but w/o a pedestrian way provided. 5 minutes walking outside of resort can be founded a small "7" store, pharmacy and few local street restaurants. The resort is in a very charming uphill garden and has 2 nice swimming pools, no pool entertainment provided!

Fair house is located at Chaweng Noi which was a lovely beach for families with young children and for those who like a quiet beach vacation but still be near town.

Resort with pluses and minuses”

The environment is really cool (pools, restaurant, beach, etc.) The neighborhood is really terrible and dangerous to even cross the road. It is still far from a lively Chaweng beach/area and you should pay for the transport. Everything is charged with "Western" prices, like a small plastic bottle of water for 80 B. However, the staff is really nice and attentive with just some few misunderstandings. No baby cot and extremely difficult access to your building with a family room, quite far from the beach. It was a real hill steeply elevating, stairs everywhere, no elevator. We would probably come again, but not with a small kid.

Tidy Paradise ”

My boyfriend and I were extremely satisfied with our overall stay here. We were really impressed by our first room which was clean, stylish, and included a large bathtub in a modern bathroom. We extended our stay and had to settle for a less posh room nights two and three because the entire hotel sold out. The second room was also nice, but it was more standard and the bathroom was far from modern. Thus, there was a large discrepancy between the two rooms but they were both kept tidy and clean and we would stay here again. Also, the hotel grounds are gorgeous and there is private beach access with lounge chairs and a bar at your service. Lastly, the breakfast buffet is top of the line and the dinners were top quality and highly affordable.

NICE PLACE, BUT COULD BE BETTER AS USED TO BE”

I stayed in this place in past 20 years few times, the hotel is in beautifull location near Chaweng beach, hotel beach is large and nice, horrible thing is smoking permited on the beach, expecially russian turist love to smoke on the beach and of course leaving the cigaretes in the sand - horrible matters.... hotel should post NO SMOKING signs as other hotels do, if no should clean the beach daily, next door is the mariott hotel.... look how they beach is perfectlly clean. Only one non understable think is fruit selection on breakfast banana, melon, pine and lime... very poor for tropical island where the fruis cost almost nothing. very sad for such a nice place

Great hotel in a great location, with friendly staff”

Location was great a walkable distance from the busy chaweng beach strip. Right on a beautiful beach and pool was a great size. Staff were extremely friendly and food and drinks were great at the bar and restaurant. Hotel itself was clean and in a beautiful setting.

Ok hotel, good location for Chaweng,good breakfast”

We stayed in a superior bungalow, the bungalow needs an update, the room was ok for us, But I didn't have too big expectations since reading the comments.. I had actually stayed here 10years ago and then the hotel was better. They have renowated the big hotel buildings and the more expensive bungalows, But the superior bungalows are in not so good shape, The batroom especially. Cleaning in the room could be better. Otherwise the surroundings are beautiful and the beach is clean and good. The breakfastbuffet is good and the restaurant facing the beach is so wonderful in the mornings. If you want to live around the Chaweng, the Chaweng Noi, where this hotel is located, is a good choice. This is a reasonable price hotel for this area.

Nice but busy resort ”

Been here 15 years ago. They done some renovations and overall the resort is on good condition. The cons... all towels were probably 15 years old, all had holes. Same the age of the AC, super noisy. Be aware, this hotel is listed in many European travel agencies, thus it was fully with Germans, Russians and especially on the beach it’s pretty busy. Otherwise breakfast is great, upper pool mostly empty and great to relax.

Beautiful Resort. clean, comftable rooms, lucious landscaping with 2 pools, a restaurant on the beach with a great breakfast buffet. The beach is clean and great for swimming. walking down the beach to other bars is nice. It is not a good neighborhood for walking. you have to take a taxi. The reception is not very helpful. No activities at the resort. No nightlife.
