Good location & friendly staff except tour desk person”

It s a nice hotel, very clean, with helpful Front office team even if they have difficulty expresing in english. They make an effort to attend to you. The housekeeping staff are also very good. We just didn't like the person at the TOUR DESK when we were asking for a taxi to the airport. We jokingly asked "No discount" He/ she said "YOU BOOK OUTSIDE" and ignored us. (FYI, There are other taxi offers across the hotel or at the main road. They also offer tours). The hotel should take care of their people because they represent the hotel PEOPLE ARE THEIR BEST ASSET!. 1. When we were booking, the filter was for 3 nights/ 3 persons at the Gig Hotel but the finalized booking was just for 2 pax. The system should have an Extra bed rate, so we can immediately see the Total PRICE. It was a bit confusing. (In the system, it also says that the De Luxe room has 1 bed and 1 Queen,) 2. There is a van shuttle service from airport to Patong Beach 180 Baht per person. They have to fill up the van before they leave. Fyi, on the way, they will stop at their office and try to sell you tours. If not interested, just say "We will not do any tours" 3. They have a pool, gym and sauna. It is nice to just chill at the the pool area.

Fabulous pool and spacious clean rooms in the center of patong area ”

Hotel is very close to mall and Bangla road. it is also with small walking distance to Patong beach. The rooftop pool is facing the sea with fabulous view and it is the best added value to the hotel. the staff are friendly and very helpful. One day, I have left the room in hurry to catch the tour while forgetting my money on the bed and also i forget the safety box open having my passport and credit cards. i came back at night to see every thing as is non touched with a message printed by the hotel management encouraged me to keep my valuables and money in the safety box closed. I wanted to thank the GIG cleaning staff and management for their integrity and keeping my valuables safe. I do trust that anyone can not make a mistake by choosing this great hotel. Please accept my appreciation GIG hotel. Small note: wish if you give more attention to the cleanness of towels and breakfast quality.

Awesome service - you'll never regret booking this hotel”

This was my 1st time to Phuket and The Gig made my trip super awesome, . Fantastic staff, super clean hotel, awesome breakfast with multiple options to eat and USP of this hotel is it's location and swimming pool at terrace. Patong beach, Bangla walking street everything is walking distance from here. As soon as you step out,you can find all the facilities. They also have one person to assist you for your taxi, bus, shows and other bookings. 100% value to money. I will definitely chose The Gig again.

Best Value hotel in Phuket”

The front desk staff is super friendly. The guy who carry’s your bags from the taxi to your room is super nice and very helpful. The Gig is a hidden gem in Phuket. The location is very close to Patong Beach (2 minute walk), the pool on the roof top is peaceful and you get a great view of Phuket. The gym is a little on the small side but it gets the job done. Each room has a MODERN easy to use and set safe in the room. This is the only hotel I stay at when I am in Phuket because I feel very welcomed, safe... and the location is PERFECT!

Needs Improvement”

We had a chance to recently stay at The Gig Hotel in Patong Phuket. The facility has only been open 4 months and you can see the staff doing the best they can but struggling with the little things as you would expect with a new complex. We stayed in 1404 the Junior Suite which had a terrible grey water or sewage smell which was shocking. Quoted on websites are the square metres of your room and you think wow this is big (this include you outside balcony), The Junior Suite is certainly not worth the money, you have a huge entrance area with a sink and a micro wave, (totally useless and a huge bathroom which takes up nearly half of the internal space, an absolute was of space. It took 3 days to get 1 chair for the balcony. The most disturbing thing was there seems to be a major security issue (no security), at this The Gig hotel, we were in the pool (which is lovely), and Thai’s (not that I have anything against Thai’s), from the street just started rolling up with a guest (1 guest), from another hotel. One of the male Thai’s made a call and more stared rolling up, drunk locals fully clothed started to jumping in the pool and screaming at the top of their lungs. The hotel guest that were there seemed quite disturbed and one women frightened. No one feel they could leave their personal belongings around if they were in the pool. Even the cleaning lady looked put back. I know the hotel has a 1 guest policy and I have no problems with this, but this was obviously something quite different. The situations was reported to reception 3 times but they did not seem to act. Having said that The Gig is in a great location sorting out the new facility but it’s not anything like a 4 star hotel, it’s a 3.5 star at best, if you want to see what a true 4 star hotel looks like, have a look at the Banthai. At The Gig the Superior room is more than sufficient, Deluxe and Junior Suite and not worth the money and the hotel in general is a bit unclean.

Hidden Gem”

Pros -we were only in the island for 4 days 3 nights. I looked for a place close to the center of activities, beach and food but quiet. I was pretty amazed Gig hotel hit my criteria. Place is very close to the food market, Bangla Road, and Patong beach . This is a commendable place for your money . Cons-no bath tub but we didn't care. The shower room was left with a pool of water. It was not dry after cleaning. This was the whole time we were there. Had to be careful not to slip and injure ourselves . This is my only reason for deducting a point. Otherwise , I'd give it a 5 star if not for the minor bathroom issue.

“The Gig hotel is located in a centric area where you can access leisure and transportation easily. It was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast service was wonderful. The pool on the rooftop is really nice and the workout room too. The staff are very nice, from the information desk to waiters and cleaners, they always have a smile and they try their best to help. I would like to thank Run in particular for answering our many questions and helping us everyday. Even at busy times, Run was diligent and solved immediately every situation we needed help with. Overall my experience at the Gig hotel was a very happy one and I wish we could enjoy it again in the future.”

It is the best for this price ”

Perfect location within the heart of Patong. It is just a street away from the Bangla Street (Patong walking street), behind is the Banzaan Fresh Market (it transforms into a food market at night where you can taste seafoods and other local cuisines there) and next to it is the Jungceylon shopping mall. It is extremely convenient. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staffs are incredibly friendly and helpful. Me and my family liked the swimming pool at lot. It is located at the top floor and you can glimpse at the sunset while you swim. I will definitely stay here again next time!! Cons: Food at the hotel is not that great. But it is not a big deal as there are numerous restaurants nearby. There are a few puddles on the road before arriving the hotel which may get ur shoes dirty. But hey, you are in Thailand! Tip: Do try the hotel’s massage located at the next block. It is awesome and worth for its price!

Nice New Quiet Hotel Close to Beach and Night Action”

A very nice hotel that is situated an easy walk to the beach and the Patong nightlife without being in a noisy crowded area. The breakfast buffet was very good as was the pool. Highly recommend - but don't make the mistake I did when I extended my stay. I thought I would save a few dollars and book a room at The Gig's sister hotel The Gu right across the street. There is a night and day difference between the two and the The Gig is well worth the extra $19 a night.

Location, Location, Location!”

First time staying in Patong area. Picked this hotel at random for one night, and immediately extended for an additional three nights. The place is great! Staff was friendly, room was spotless and well maintained. Rooftop infinity pool is amazing (take your camera up there at sunset). Lobby and rooftop bar with reasonable prices and happy hour specials. But it's the location of the place that is the icing on the cake. Hotel is a half block down a quiet street just 2 minutes walk to Bangla Walking Street, shopping center, fresh market, or gay walking street... 4 minutes to the beach. After this visit, I can't imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Phuket!

Best Hotel ever”

We move from one other to the GIG Hotel cause we let see us the Room and the Hotel Pool before and we said we to chance. The Hotel is nearly new, nice, clean, comfortable and our room has a amazing view of the city and ozean. The Roofpool was nice as well with the poolbar, a bit music, everytime some funny nice other guest how you can meet and you can have in the pool the best sunset when it is not cloudy. The Staff on the bar, counter or the cleaner or whereever was very nice and friendly. Thank you for the good time. We will be back soon again...

Exceptional”

I am from the Philippines i had 10 days stay @ The Gig Hotel the staff were accomodating and nice special mention to Ate Emily their Supervisor she spoiled us ,everyday . Their room is neat and clean. The breakfat buffet was awesome they had different variety of servings everyday. Above anything else the location of the hotel is accessible to beach and night. I definitely come back @ The Gig Hotel

Good value for price paid”

Big rooms. Great location. Pool on the roof is awesome. For the cheap price it’s a clean and tidy hotel. Breakfast isn’t a huge spread but there are enough options there to find something you like and again, for the price it’s what you would expect. Staff are friendly and very helpful. If you are looking for a luxurious hotel with all the extras, the Gig isn’t it. But if you are after a clean and tidy hotel for a cheap price then this place is great.

Excellent ”

Great location right in the middle of the nightlife and restaurants especially the Bazaar just behind Jungceylon shopping complex on third road. Every night there is a food market everything from seafood to Thai street food. you want is there especially the seafood and I would say cheaper than closer to the beach restaurants, and about hotel I could not fault it, the staff from housekeeping to reception and especially the reception they made you welcome as if you a regular customer and not firsttimer I will be coming back Thank you Gig hotel

Meets expectations”

Agoda's prices on this hotel just like many hotels can be variable depending on when you look. I was able to book for a rate I think somewhere around 1400 baht. With that being said I think it is an ideal price per night given the fact that the room I had was large and clean, huge shower/toilet room. The bed, which is most important in my opinion for most travelers, was comfortable but not the most comfortable mattress I've slept on. Still a good sleep though, don't worry. I didn't check out the pool but I'm sure it was nice also. But more importantly if you come here to Patong, you will probably be on Bangla Road. It's super nice to only need to walk home 200 meters yet be far enough away where you hear no noise at all from the night life. If you see a rate around this price or even cheaper definitely book, you won't regret it.

It was basically my second time to stay at the Gig and I am always impressed with the over-all experienced everytime I am there. I always feel comfortable with the hotel's ambience and staff. I would definitely choose to stay in the Gig for my future visits in Phuket.

Best bang for buck!”

This gem was recommended by a youtuber when i was researching for hotel to stay in Phuket. Of course, seeing is believing with the price you pay with what you're getting. Staffs is very helpful, polite and friendly , from reception to bellboy to housekeeping staffs, I booked the standard superior room and i absolutely loved it 1) Very spacious! 2) Large bed! i think it's 2 super single beds joined together. 3) Spacious walkways from bathroom to the bed. 4) Bathroom is very spacious as well 5) Balcony view is great though tends to have quite a number of pigeons coming around. 6) Cleanliness is there though not perfect. I tend to be able to see footprints on floor tiles despite after housekeeping. 7) Great swimming pool with great Patong view at rooftop! 8) Great location and it's very near to Bangla Road. 9) No partying noise from Bangla Road despite being conveniently near to it. Would come back again to this Hotel if I return to Phuket again.

Another great stay”

Our second time at the gig. Very enjoyable. Hotel requires a 1000 baht deposit at checkin so be aware. Reception staff very welcoming and friendly especially pop and kun. Stayed on 5th floor. Room cleaning was exceptional, never missed out. We love the location close to banzaan market and jungceylon. Also bangla road. Swimming pool, sauna, gym if you want to use. Rooftop bar is pleasant in the evening.made a great hamburger for us on our last night. We enjoy the balcony, tea and coffee making facilities. Room safe, toiletries. All good. Cant wait to come back.

Location was ideal. Right smack in the middle of patong. Staff was really friendly and tentative. Breakfast was simple but nice, fits the price. We booked at the gig hotel for a 3N2D vacation in Phuket. The hotel was in a good location and the facilities were nice. The only letdown was the breakfast buffet which was not readily prepared and was served cold. Apart from that the experience was satisfactory.
