Exceptional Stay”

Our time at the Shell Sea was amazing. The staff was warm, accommodating, and friendly The rooms and grounds were immaculate, and since it is a boutique luxury resort, we didn’t have to deal with large loud your groups. There was at least one, 20 person tour, and it seemed to be an ideal setting for a group of that size. The fitness classes were great, and the bicycles and canoes were nice options, too. The beach is completely private, and was appreciated after having spent an afternoon on Raleigh Beach. We enjoyed live acoustic music and fire shows a couple of the evenings. We’d definitely stay here again.

Fantastic tranquil hotel and truly attentive staff ”

- The staff made us feel special and were so friendly and polite with any requests we had - We really enjoyed having the space within the hotel grounds, with a wonderful pool area, hammocks, beautiful subterranean spa (with excellent service and treatments) a poolside bar and the hotels own private beach! - The breakfast buffet was a real feast, ranging from traditional Thai delights to good quality European style dishes - The room was lovely - spacious with modern, natural furnishings - Despite being located slightly away from the Ao Nang and Krabi we felt very well connected with regular shuttles to and from the hotel free of charge and a Grab Taxi never far away We will remember the hotel very fondly and recommend it highly! Thank you to the team at ShellSea who made our first stay in Krabi so memorable and welcoming.

Friendly and super helpful staff, gorgeous views and sprawling lawns. Two swimming pools... loved this place. Must go to Godle, the restaraunt a short two min walk out of the resort. Amazing food! If you book an island tour through the hotel, think about asking them to NOT use Wang Sai as the operator. There must be a better one. But Shell Sea is an awesome place, we were a group of 7 with two small children, and simply loved our stay here. Don't miss what we called the "sweet spot", a little alcove of trees with a spectacular view of the ocean in front and lounge chairs laid out under a gorgeous umbrella of trees. You can order a cocktail right from your chair!

Great luxury hotel - a nice treat at the end of our trip! ”

Great luxury hotel - would rate 5* for room, amenities, staff. The prices for laundry and at the bar and restaurants were significantly higher than most of the hotels we stayed at during our trip but it was a nice treat. I did like the location as although it was further from Krabi Town and the piers, there was a shuttle you could book and you did have the Shell Cemetery and Fisheries in walking distance.

The hotel is located around 30-40 mins drive from the airport. Around 15 mins drive to Aonang town. Hotel provides daily shuttle to and fro anonang town and krabi Town. Th e hotel is quiet and beautiful. But not very suitable for too young kids. Couples or kids at age 6 above is better. Basic continental breakfast. Lots of activities provided by the hotel that u won’t feel bored if u choose not to go out for fun. Very near to the zip line fun park which only 2 mins drive. My son enjoyed it so much. Yet, I enjoyed the quiet and friendly environment of the hotel. Room service is perfect and they kept maintaining my room always in a perfect condition! Highly recommended if u choose to stay in krabi of your next destination!

Beautiful resort, Brand new facilities, Spacious room”

This beach-front room has an amazing view, located on the more secluded side of Krabi, it is for those who prefer peace and quiet. When we visited the resort had just opened its doors, so all the facilities and rooms are literally brand new. Very clean and nice decor in the rooms, our friends loved it! The only downside is the location. If you want to explore liveliness in Ao Nang, you would probably need to hire a car or some sort of a ride as it is not within walking distance.

The ShelllSea Krabi is an amazing hotel! The staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. It’s a very quiet hotel where you can really relax! They provide a free shuttle bus into Ao Nang. The rooms are very spacious with an amazing shower. We were VERY pleased with our stay!

The premises is only 2 years old, well lay out, well maintained. Have 5x per day 20 mins shuttle ride to sister hotel in downtown Ao Nang Villa Resort; & 1x shuttle to Krabi City in 30 mins. If you are escaping from contaminated coronavirus in high density cities. This place offers you fresh air!

Exceptional”

Awesome place! so relaxing for my short holidays! I was staying for 2nights in Deluxe garden view room. Room was very good and tidy. We also got a surprised decoration in our room. It was touched and thankful. The location was okay if you want to stay for relaxing. It is far from Aonang beach and Krabi town however if you rent the scooter or take a taxi, it takes about 15-20mins to reach there. I love this resort. I would like to stay here again if I visit in Krabi next time :D.

Homely Stay”

Room was superb, big and clean. Direct pool access made it even more perfect. There are free classes provided by the hotel staffs such as Aqua Aerobics, Muay Thai etc. throughout the day. Return shuttle service to Aonang and Krabi Town is available too. But what we were most pleased with is the excellent hospitality provided by the staffs. Thank you for the great stay!

Traveled from NYC To Kravi march18 to 23. GROUP of friends, We read all the reviews and comments from previous travellers, We were not disappointed. We walked the beach, seeing something different everyday. Enjoyed the street vendors is about 12 min ride on taxi staff call the taxi for us to go to aon nang. My friend did thai clases, yoga, and more , was up early up amazing buffet breakfast, spectacular view, 24 hour room service. Service at the pool bars was always fast and friendly and we never waited. The restaurants, staff and the food was awesome everywhere.The hotel staff arrange boats to 4island(But paid like 52usd),Friendly staff, The landscaping throughout the property was the most beautiful I have seen. The people, the sounds, the smells, the sights, the lobby bar, the wildlife, unbelievable. I want to go back to Thailand. Can i gooo back please!!! And all my 4 friends and spouse agrees!! Oh and the room was super, huge bathroom, great balcony. Cons: you need more shuttles

Beautiful Resort away from hustle and bustle but with easy access to it!”

Everything was beautiful and convenient... I recommend taking the ride to Ao Nang Beach its about a 10-15 min drive and about 300 Baht (approx. 10 bux each way or their free shuttle that runs a few times a day) for night life, restaurants and a downtown area with live music and massages. There is a local restaurant about 2kilometers away (5min ride) the hotel will rave about and it is honest. :) I don't like being in the middle of hustle and bustle so I like that the hotel is tucked away but isn't far. The breakfast that is included has tons of options. I would def recommended eating lunch and dinner outside of the resort for best bang and flavor for your buck.

A peaceful Oasis”

This hotel has class in abundance! The location is peaceful with stunning views. An amazing breakfast and wonderful staff. The rooms are beautiful and immaculate. They provide a free shuttle into Ao Nang several times a day - but once you’ve explored other areas - you’ll be so glad to return to this peaceful and stunning oasis.

A tiny limitation can be absorb if you have car rent. A worth place, you must stay if visit Krabi.

We had one of our best time in Krabi because of the hotel. The staffs are very friendly. Hotel provides a lot of fun activities. It is a great hotel to be away from bustling city. Will definitely visit again

OK but who likes to live with a constantly wet bathroom floor”

This 3 hotel could be anywhere in the world and it is visually attractive but lacks the Thai warmth and welcome. It has nice well maintained gardens and pools. The black concrete around the pools was not well thought out as it generates and reflects significantly more heat than non-black surfaces. Tip to guests - take shoes to wear in the pool for you and your children as the concrete burns the feet. Having a separate adults pool is a great idea. I feel that in designing this hotel, the architect was working to his design ego and not to a practical hotel design. There are some lovely aspects but also some disastrous areas such as the bathroom floor water waste. The rooms were nicely designed and well presented BUT the bathroom was a nightmare for the guests as well as housekeeping staff. As in other reviews, the bathroom floor due to the design does not drain away the water and the floor is always a pool of water. Food & beverage expensive - A$ 23 for a poolside sandwich is mad.

This place is perfect!”

Enjoying my sweet retreat at the ShellSea. It's perfect for couple and honeymoon. The facility is outstanding. Everything are clean, staff are really friendly, they gave us towel when we were swimming, explained their facilities and offered the Yoga Activity. One thing that struggled us is the location quite far to town, luckily there are scheduled shuttle to town and Aonang. We got electricity blackout when the second day, but they already told us a day before because of the maintenance. Room really spacious, the beach is private so it is quite clean but really quiet.
