Favorite Hotel in Thailand - Exceeded Expectations”

I've lived in Thailand for 4 months now and have traveled all over from Mae Sai to Ko Ngai. Resorts, bungalows, hotels, airbnbs, condos - of all this, Tama is my best find. This hotel is clean and modern. I saw complaints that it's location is bad but it's away from the noise unlike most hotels in Ao Nang. Just rent a motorbike anyway(the front desk will give you keys for 300b per day)! It's the best way to see the area. Staff is nice. Included breakfast is great. Swimming pool is top class. Rooms are clean, modern, comfortable. Everything I need. Highly recommend.

Perfect stay”

This hotel is one of the best hotels i have stayed at, especially for the money. The location was just a scooter ride out from ao nang, so was more quiet which was just what we wanted. Everything with the hotel was perfect...too good for the price!Thank you to all The Tama Team!

good for muslim customer.....hotel very nice n superb.....good for the people who's have own car or bike..anyway there's is tuk tuk waiting outside the hotel....anyway this is my place to stay if i come to krabi... 5 time already i was in THE TAMA HOTEL

First guests”

We were amongst the first guests to stay at The Tama Hotel. Some of the rooms were still having a final clean after the building process. The rooms are big and comfy. We felt the staff were still training, as they were not aware of certain things expected by travellers. The first day we had to ask them to make up our room. They only replaced towels and made bed. They did not clean up coffee cups or restock toilet paper during our 5 day stay. We had to ask for toilet paper on 2 occasions. The staff had very poor English, however there was one male staff member who was better, and would often be called over to help translate. While we were there, there were some very rude Russian guests who would put their towels and bags on the pool lounges at 7am. They would then go and have breakfast and go back to their rooms, and come back down to the pool at about 10am ready to sunbake. There were often other people wanting a pool lounge, but could not use them. The Hotel should state that unless you are at the pool, you can not leave belongings there. There is a laundromat right across the street where a lovely lady will wash and dry your clothes for about AU$3. We would highly recommend staying at The Tama. It is great value for money, and although there were a few issues, the staff are very friendly and willing to help.

Recommended for Muslims travellers”

This hotel is a brand new hotel with industrial design layout. The room itself is big, spacious and comfortable for 5 of us. Parking is safe, easy and plenty in the premise as we travelled by car. They have salt water swimming pool and good halal buffet breakfast (nasi goreng, mee goreng, scrambled egg, bread and jam, cereals, fruits ). The only regret is they do not refill the food so u really have to go early for breakfast. It is located about 15 min to Ao Nang beach, if you have no transport this could be a problem although they do provide shuttle services. Overall, we loved our stay here. Can't wait to do another road trip to Krabi next time.

Excellent”

Usually we don't stay at expensive places like that, but we got it for 20€ per night (rainy season), so we stayed for 9 days at the end of our SE Asia travels. Of course, the rooms were luxurous and clean. The only thing that bothered me was a loud low-frequency humming sound during the night coming from within the building or from the roof (?), I guess that was some sort of pump/generator/aircondition machinery... Sometimes I slept with earplugs. The saltwater pool is really great, but the gym facilities are a bit dated or damaged. Location was good for us, because we wanted a quiet place away from the crowds. The beach nearby (Ao nam mao) is not so appealing for swimming but we went for a nice walk there. We went to other beaches by motorbike. There's a local market every sunday afternoon just across the street which was a great surprise for us on our first day! Along the street you can find 7-eleven, family mart, pharmacy and local shops selling fruits+vegetables+groceries.

the Tama hotel isn't in the heart of Ao Nang. but you can find it easily and it's near 7-11, freshmart and local market.( but not sure there would have local market everyday) The hotel's spacious room but no soundproof. So, 4th floor room in the corner will be good choice. the hotel has a little pool and fitness also. lf you have car,there're parking lot enough.

Quiet place ”

We stayed one night at Tama hotel. The hotel is located a little bit far from the town but that’s not the problem. The pool is really nice and clean and the staffs were friendly. But the wifi always kick off and we had to log in again. Overall everything here is really good and we definitely come back

Good place but not without flaws”

Pros: - Very clean place with nice pool. - Quiet location with lots of places to eat. - Friendly staff and good vibe. - Rather tasty food. - Free transport to Ao Nang Beach (3 times a day) Drawbacks: - Buffet breakfast only on weekends. - On week days you have to order a breakfast. Every time we ordered a breakfast there were multiple mistakes made. - Very poor internet connection - Muslim hotel, so no alcohol in the restaurant menu. Not really a problem, but it was not mentioned in the hotel listing. - Hotel listing claims that the staff speaks English but that's not really true. Apart from some basic phrases it's rather hard to communicate. But still the staff is very friendly.

Great hotel, need new staff”

Booked anot her hotel which we just couldn't stay at, but booked this hotel online an arrived 2 mins later. Was then told that the room would cost nearly double the price I paid however when I told her I had paid already she back tracked. The internet was not the best...however the room was beautiful and clean. They have a electrical trigger which automatically takes the air conditioning off which is terrible when you fall asleep at night and have to keep waking up to switch it back on. When I spoke to the staff about it they said they did not understand. They only give one key which was not very convenient for us. They have a beautiful salt water pool which we spent half a day in...however they staff have strange customers so I would be vigilant when using the pool if staff are present. It a clean new hotel if you need to stay for a night as an emergency fine but there is work to be done especially with staff training.

just a transit hotel but a great one”

we stayed 1 night as we landed in Krabi late and didnt want to go on a longboat to Railay bay at night. the hotel is very nice, looks new and has a cool design. room was good, bathroom was great and breakfast was OK. the staff was very nice and they have a free shuttle service to the ferry. overall, a good stay and great value for money if you are looking to stay in that area

Good hotel”

Good and clean hotel, very nicely furnished with loads of details everywhere. The pool was nice and cosy. It is a bit far from the beach in ao nang but they do have shuttle bus in the daytime. If you want to go out at night you need to take a taxi or rent one of the hotels motorbikes at about 250 bhat. It was a nice hotel but I think I would want to stay somewhere a bit more central next time.

Beautiful hotel with a great swimming pool and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly. Quite hotel and about 10 minutes away from the busy Krabi. Great to stay here when relaxing.

Nice, pleasant stay.”

Very clean maintained hotel, breakfast was very good, saltedwater pool, gym. What's convenient 7-11 opposite the road. If you looking for a quite place to relax, this hotel is for you. It's about 10 mins drive from Ao Nang. Last shuttle service from the hotel to town is at 3pm and back from town 6pm. I do recommend.

Worth the price, nice view”

You should pick room on 4th floor with mountain view. It was nice and relaxing. Good environment and facilities. It's located a little far from the town and beach. The hotel provides free shuttle to Ao Nang but would be better if you have your own car or you rent a car if you want to stay here.

An adequate hotel outside Ao Nang.”

The Tama is a very nice building, has good quality rooms and finish details, and a beautiful salt-water pool and sunbathing area. I should have looked at the location more closely before booking. The Tama is kind of inconveniently far outside both Krabi Town and Ao Nang. The hotel does not serve alcohol, and has very early hours for the pool area. They did agree to let us use the pool and deck late at night on New Years, which was nice of them. The restaurant is very expensive and not at all remarkable, and very few of the staff had any command of English. Nice facility, but otherwise unremarkable.

Value for money”

A bit far from the main beach area, Ao Nang. A good hotel with a good services. Clean room. Spacious bathroom. Not many variation for breakfast. They served halal foods. You can rent motorbike @300 THB a day to explore the area, which is very convenient.

Somewhere in the middle of Railay Beach and Krabi Town”

Lcoation was not the best, you would definitely need a car, bus, scooter or taxi to get to the beach or to the town centre. Besides that, the hotel was a really nice stay. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. They even had a small gym next to the pool. Room was very clean and bed was comfy. There are some small restaurants next to the hotel and 7-11, so you'll have everything you need. Best would be to come with a car or scooter or use the bus stop which is just a couple of hundred meters away.

Exquisite hotel near Ao-Nang”

Classy hotel has been located in Ao-Nammao and plenty of the car park. The room is spacious and uncluttered. Additionally, the Coffee A Day situated at the entrance is great taste coffee.

Beautiful, new and clean hotel.”

Location is in Ao Nammao, which is too far from Ao Nang to walk. The nearby beach is not good but feature a pier with boats to Railay. The rooms are large and very nice but have difficult showers. The pool is wonderful and while we did not try the room service the prices were reasonable. One of the best hotels in the area for the price now in Low Season if you have transportation.
