Best hotel in Ao Nang”

I’ve stayed at the Verandah in 2010 and loved it so much, I came back again in 2012. This hotel has it all. The staff are very friendly and efficient during check in. The rooms are very big and clean, a big plus is that their sink is separate from their bathroom so that was very convenient. While someone was showering or using the toilet, another person could brush their teeth and wash their clothes. Each room also has a balcony and clothes rack. Given how sunny it gets in Ao Nang, it was very easy to wash your clothes and hang them to dry in the balcony. The hotel is very clean and fresh bath and facial towels are provided daily. You also get a pool towel to use the huge pool next door at Peace Laguna. The Verandah’s beds and comforters are so comfortable, you really get a good night’s rest here. The free breakfast buffet in the morning is one of the best I’ve had in Thailand. It consisted of eggs, porridge, bacon, salad, fruit, toast, cereal and an abundance of coffee, tea, milk and fruit juices. The hotel is located on the main road (Nopparat) and is a 5min walk to the beach and long tail boats to Railay Beach. A 7-Eleven, Starbucks, McDonalds restaurants, bars and various food stalls are all steps from the hotel. There are two high speed computers as well as a bathroom and maps/tour information in the lobby for guest use. If I return to Ao Nang again, I would stay at the Verandah again.

Small, cozy hotel with a fantastic location”

Stayed in a deluxe double room at the end of Sep/early Oct 2015. Paid low season prices for a fantastic room and breakfast. So for what I paid, it represented exceptional value. Airport shuttle bus (150 Baht) drops you on the main road, you look up and the Verandah is right in front of you. Walk for a minute and you would have arrived at the lobby, where the friendly and attentive staff will process your check-in in the shortest possible time and eventually usher you to your room. Room might appear small to some but its stocked with the essentials - TV, electric kettle, bottles of drinking water, sachets of tea and coffee, and a safety deposit box tucked away in the cupboard. TV has about 12 channels - CNN and an english movie channel among them. Toilet is undeniably small. Bed is very comfortable with very plush pillows. My room on the 3rd floor with its nice little balcony, offers an excellent view of the karst hills and a neighbouring hotel. I think the breakfast fare was satisfactory - they would change the main dish daily. Daily staples are bread, cereal, some pastries and fruit. Hotel only serves breakfast; really precious when you got an early morning pick-up for your islands daytrip. Later in the day, exlore the many gastronomic delights of Ao Nang's main drag - Thai, Western, Italian, Indian...there's even a Macdonald's and a Starbucks across the street from the hotel. For really great Halal food, walk up in the direction of Ao Nang Mosque for maybe 5 minutes or so, and the choices of eateries there will really tantalize your tastebuds. Just relating my personal experience, and brevity has never been my strong suit.

Best location and staff”

The hotel was so charming with lovely decor and cosy atmosphere. Although the facilities in the room weren't the most modern/new, the room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. The location is great, just a 5 mins walk to Ao Nang beach and in the heart of the main shopping street, near to many Halal restaurants as well. Even though the hotel didn't have a pool, we could use the pool of their sister hotel (just 2 mins away) and it was great for tanning with a beautiful scenery. The staffs were polite, friendly, courteous and ready to help us with our every need. The breakfast buffet was great too and the menu changes every day. Highly recommend the pancakes and eggs! Special thanks to Bee for being so helpful throughout our entire stay. Would love to stay in The Verandah the next time we return to Krabi.

Best facilities, worth for money and excellent staff”

This is my second time in Krabi after the first one in January 2016. There were 3 of us during the trip this time. We purchased a room for three that consist of one Queen Bed and a Single Bed. Arrived at the hotel at 6:30 in the evening and we were welcomed by a soft-spoken young lady that demonstrates high level of excellence. She briefed us perfectly and clearly mentioned that we could borrow towels from the hotel to bring to the tour packages on the next day (this really made me happy since our last trip to Krabi, the hotel did not allow us to bring towels from hotel, embarrassing!) There are few things I would like to highlight. Firstly, amazing facilities. The hotel's facilities were clean and not obsolete like other hotels we stayed. It was comprehensive. Drinking water provided, hair dryer, large bed, television, mini fridge, closet, hot shower, shower gel and shampoo all are provided. Secondly, strategic location. Few steps away from McDonald,s and Starbucks, which means this hotel is located just along the Ao Nang street. You can just walk from your hotel to a nearby cafe, or even Family Mart. You can walk to the beach too since its too close from the beach. Lastly, the best service we have ever received from the staff. We initially booked the hotel for only three nights, but we ended up staying another night making it four nights in total. The staff kindly make manual reservations for us even we informed them few hours before actual checkout time. We rented the taxi (van) from the hotel which costs us 500 thai baht and departed from the hotel at 5:30 in the morning. The staff made it possible. The were on time and even ringed us for a wake up call at 4:45 am. Overall, i rate this hotel EXCELLENT!

Best value in Krabi”

Despite that there's no elevator at this hotel and most of the hotel staff are women, so you have to bring up your own luggage... This hotel is a real bargain, best value in Krabi! Located very close to Ao Nang Beach (5-10 minutes walk), close to McDonald's and small shops. The room is clean, they have nice beds and if you order a triple room, there's actualy 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. So one of the person doesn't have to end up in extra bed (which usually is unconfortable). Would recommend this hotel! And I will definitely go back to Verandah on my next trip to Krabi.

Best hotel we had in all of Thailand”

my husband and i spent three weeks in thailand, and our experiences at ao nang and the verandah were the best by far. the staff were unbelievably nice and helpful, always with a smile on their face. the room was cozy and clean with a comfortable bed, cold a/c, warm shower, delicious breakfast with variety and decent view with a balcony on both front and back of room. there was a little ruckus from the bar street close by, but not bad enough to keep us from sleeping. the location could not be better - tucked amid little shops, bars and restaurants, but just a few short blocks to the beach. we had access to the resorts pool next door, but never went. why would you when so close to such a beautiful beach? not to mention, the room is dirt cheap. i am still smiling from my memories of this beach and hotel and friendly staff. i would definitely recommend and will be staying there again on my next trip to thailand.

No regret of choosing The Verandah Hotel ”

I just back from KRABI on Wednesday and I chosen The Verandah as our short trip shelter. I don't expect so much from the visitors reviews and pictures. My heart feel that it's not a very comfortable hotel with blue light coz its hurt my eyes. I was quite satisfied when got into the hotel. The lights is soft to eyes. Room are very spacious and quiet. At 1st I was worry of some reviews said the bar are noisy and annoying. Maybe I was lucky was given a quiet room 206, facing the shops but no noise at all. I wrote my request through Agoda but unlucky the request does not reach Verandah management. Everything was good. Especially cleanliness are up to my satisfaction. When come out from the hotel, just within 5 minutes walk to many restaurants. Ao Nang beach very near too. I will come back again with my children next year. I hope when I return in 2017, The Verandah Hotel management still able to provide me with comfortable stay and clean environment. Thank you and keep it up.

very nice room, quite large”

The Verandah is a great place to stay for the purposes of crashing after a day elsewhere- the main point of Ao Nang is to use it as a 'home base' for day trips to the nearby islands and beaches - go down to the bottom of the hill to get tickets to go on boat excursions. There's a little stand of hostess bars next to the Verandah that is hit or miss depending upon the time of year you go. I'm also a big fan of the street food (especially the grilled chicken) available nearby if you are on a budget. Starbucks across the street is handy too.

Awesome place to stay in!”

Location of place was 5-10 minutes away from Ao nang Beach, and for halal options, travelers do not need to worry because there are plenty, and also a mosque nearby. Our hotel room was the best ever, we were upgraded to a bigger room and there is a balcony with 2 chairs and a table, overlooking the mountains. It was beautiful. Also a mini fridge, hairdryer, shampoo, showergel. The downside of this hotel was that they DO NOT PROVIDE TOOTHBRUSH AND TOOTHPASTE. yes its quite a basic thing but they do not provide. So please bring your own, or else you will have to buy from nearby 7-11. Room is super duper clean (im not kidding!) great for clean freak like myself. Staff in the noon was great (a very sweet and young lady). She was also helpful in advising where we should go. I would love to be back some day!

truly living up to "luxury hotel at a budget price”

stayed in the verandah for 3 nights (2n under tour package and 1n extension). conditions exceed the expectations of my husband and i. service staff recognises its guests and are polite and smiling at all times. located within walking distance to ao nang beach yet quiet hideaway from the buzz. street hawkers add to the local experience. awesome view of mountains and seas. will surely stay here when i next visit!

Verandah Hotel Review”

My stay at the Verandah hotel was fantastic. Although I informed the hotel late regarding the airport transfer, the hotel staff was already there to greet me at the airport when I landed in Krabi. The room that we booked was a superior room (2 single beds) but as we checked in, we were given a free upgrade to deluxe suite which was great :D The location was great and the hotel staff was fantastic :D

Value for money”

The hotel location is perfect only minutes walk to the Ao Nang beach. Although this is not a new hotel, but very well maintenanced, has nice room, very spacious, very clean and comfortable. The receptionist girls are friendly and helpful, the service was excellent. The breakfast is also great. We only stayed for two days but we had a great times. Highly recommended. We love the hotel and definitely would stay there again next time we back to Ao Nang.

Nice place to stay”

We r couple and stayed in Verandah hotel for 4d3n! The moment i saw the Verandah hotel facade, i looks very small, but when i entered the room its wow, very big for 2 persons! Its like family room with 1king size and 1 super single bed! The location is very good near to the beach, and many shops outside! No need to go to the mall! The staff are all kind, helpfull and approchable! The breakfast is good, mini buffet! The only problem is the shower like what the rest commented! Only hot & cold, struggling when bathing but The toilet is clean and big! Overall im happy and i will comeback to this hotel again!

Beautiful Arabic-inspired Interiors Boutique Hotel”

We made a last minute booking for this hotel when we missed our flight back. I fell in love with the decor when I saw the pictures on Agoda. To our surprise, the room was even better in real life than the pictures. Very spacious, with a big balcony, and we had the view of one of the limestone hills. Everything is white and clean. Its location is also perfect in Ao Nang, with many restaurants and convenient stores around. It is also a walking distance (2 mins) to the main Ao Nang street. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. :)

Lovely hotel close to the beach”

I ended up sick on my holiday to Ao Nang, but fortunately this hotel was really lovely to stay in. Very close easy to walk to the beach and plenty restaurants/bars on the doorstep. The room was comfortable and a nice size for myself. A lovely pool with the scenic Krabi mountains behind. I would happily stay here again!

Best bang for the buck”

Location wise, the hotel is situated very close to the Aonang Centre. Everything great in Ao Nang town is basically within walking distance. The only issue was at night, the Violin Bar right across the street in my opinion is making a tad too much noise. Luckily my room was facing the opposite side. Quite sure other rooms get to hear the loud music and whether or not you like it depends on you. Hotel was equipped with proximity card access. Had some trouble to communicate with the staff but rest assured they are more than willing to assist you. Free 4 bottled water and coffee daily. Toilet condition is so-so. I was allowed to store my belongings after checkout while waiting for my transportation to airport. Wifi was great, the speed was good enough for social media browsing/ uploading. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody

Monaco Jewel @ Krabi”

Verandah Hotel offers great access to the main F&B eateries, massage palours, tourist attractions in Krabi. It is safe to roam around even at late night. The Monaco hotel rooms are newly refurbished with attractive lamps. Do bring your own basic amenities like toothbrush set & bathroom slippers. Ms Dada is efficient & offer excellent service. She went an extra mile to decor our room with kissing swans towel decor & even wow us with a birthday cake for extra surprise to perk up our short holiday 😊👍🏻👏🏻

Great option in Ao Nang”

Spacious rooms that came with a balcony. The hotel is about 3 minutes from the beach. The daily breakfast was an amazing value. We did not really care for Ao Nang (crowded, rude tourists, a McDonald's on every corner) but we really enjoyed our stay here nonetheless. You can see amazing sunsets from the balcony. The hotel does not have its own pool, but you can use any of the three pools at the hotel next door. The staff was always very accommodating and helpful.

Little Hotel That Could”

The location of this hotel is truly ideal. Its right off the main drag in ao nang beach. The hotel has various size rooms. I stayed in a small but nicely renovated room and then moved to a larger room that was clean but in need of a renovation. Not bad but a little face lift could help. A nice albeit pricey breakfast every morning at 200 baht. Im used to eating from street vendors so 200 is a little high. The staff is excellent. I must give a shout out to Bee who is excellent. She is incredibly professional, helped me with any issues and has helped me with learning thai as well. She acts like an owner not just a manager. I would stay again.

Good time in Ao Nang”

I have been staying at The Verandah on every visit to Krabi for the last 6 years. The size and quality of the rooms is excellent and the staff very friendly. The free breakfast is very good and persons not staying at The Verandah come in to enjoy the breakfast.The situation of the hotel is very convenient.
