"we were totally 6 adults and 2 children,booked 2 garden view rooms. Pros :- 1) Room - the room was very spacious and was good with the bath tub. 2) Morning break fast was good. 3) Staff's care for the Guests was very much appreciated. 4) Location - Very calm place to relax. Cons:- 1) House keeping - they should check the rooms before handing over to the Guests. There was problem in the Phone they provided. so we have to use the phone in other room for everything. In the evening the lights in the garden area was not working. Kids could nt enjoy the garden area in the evening. 2) Costs of the Food. its very much costly and we tried to order a cup of Rice and Dhaal for my 1yr kid, and the cost they said was Rs. 450/-. 3) They did not refill the water bottles in the next morning. and the room toiletries was not changed. place we can enjoy for a day and not more than that. NOT WORTH. "

"My husband and I stayed here for two nights after a visit to Chennai and had my 22 year old daughter and a friend with us. Our room was 609 and was set furthest away from the sea but a more modern room, very comfortable. The girls were in an older style room closer to the sea front (521) but it was still a good standard. Had very bad experience in the restaurant on the first night. It was valentines night and they were putting on a special buffet for 650 rupees per person. We were not very hungry and had asked earlier if we could have a table and order from the menu and were told that was ok. Once we were seated the waiter insisted that we have the buffet and was rather rude when we declined. He eventually went off for the menu but only after many requests. He was obviously not happy after this time and was quite rude to us throughout the meal. We were given a customer satisfaction form and when we ticked the "poor" box for service he was very angry and brought it back to us saying "Change It". We were concerned about eating in the restaurant on the second night but it was much quieter and the service that night was really good (we had a different waiter). They are definitely trying to upsell all the time on food and drink so be prepared for this. They organised us a car for a half day sightseeing in Mahabalipuram (well worth a visit) and also a car for the airport. Prices were reasonable and drivers good. "

"Its a value for money trip for us when we booked Sea La Vie to celebrate our daughter's birthday.. Had a great short getaway..Location wise is good in terms of being very close to the beach. This helped us to have the great campfire in the night where the entire family enjoyed with dance and singing. ..the dinner & buffet breakfast were awesome.. the chefs were great! Entire staff were very friendly and helpful. All of them treated us as a family of theirs..no expectation of any tips..it was purely service and it came from their bottom of their heart.. Starting from the key management people like Dinesh, Shankar, Chef Carmel and his entire kitchen team was fantastic. Client Service manager Danavel provided us with a lot of personalized care and service. His attention to us was commendable. he ensured that our safety was important thing when we wanted to go to the beach side late in the night. The security guards were really vigilant and they were very alert. Chinnaiah was good too"

"First the negatives.. Delay in allotting rooms almost we checked in after 2 hours after our arrival. No welcome drink (Don't know whether its their custom of welcoming guest with welcome drink) No one helped in taking luggages to the room or from the room while checking out. No hair dryer in room. and the positives : Really well maintained garden,lawn,swimming pool. basket ball net to be repaired. Our children enjoyed the most. Morning breakfast was simple but tasty. Though balls / shuttle bats given it will be better if the guest bring it along with them you have good play area where volley ball,foot ball,mini cricket can be played.Better to bring safety rings for children to play in swimming pool we did'nt take it with us and hotel also did'nt have any to provide us. Overall its a wonderful outing we all enjoyed though there were few hiccups.. Also they offer team 1 day outing corporates can book. Dear Management please look into the negatives and if corrected it would be great. "

"Green coconut resort is the best Choice for family stay. Pros - frdly staffs, tasty food, complementary break fast above the expectations, clean rooms and swimming pool. Green atmosphere. Cons- rest room heater not working, TV and ac remote not working, rooms allocated outside the ring which made us to walk long but it's good to walk with kids. If going with elderly people think twice or look for option to book rooms inside the premises. "

"It was a horrible experience staying here. Arrived 1AM and they said they haven’t received the booking from Agoda. They asked me to contact Agoda. After Agoda sent the booking details again, they said it is not the correct format and asked me to pay one day rent. I refused since I had paid full for 3 nights at the time of booking. Finally they allocated a room. Real horror starts here. Rooms were not clean, dust all over, bathroom was atrocious. To make things worse no towel in the bathroom, no wifi, no tissue box, just one pillow and most dangerous one of the balcony door was not getting closed. Didn’t receive bath towel till morning after at least 5 follow ups since 1 AM. Didn’t wait for the breakfast since I packed all my stuff and checked out. I called Agoda to cancel reservation for rest of 2 days and they did. Thank God I survived one night there. Never ever think of this hotel."

"Being asked to leave early coloured our experience. Although they offered an alternative room in a hotel opposite (not great) or a Villa 35 miles south of Chennai (lovely, but in a compound in the middle of nowhere) we couldn't just stay where we had booked. Which was sad, because the staff were very friendly - even if there was a a few hours delay between something "coming right away" and finally turning up. The food was good, although some things on the menu were never available. The location allowed us to walk out and see the real India - which we liked, but others may find too intense. And the Indian Ocean was just 10 mins walk away. So we wouldn't recommend because we're not sure what other people would experience."

"The shower towers need more cleaner and during my stay other guests were boisterous and politely need to be educated to respect privacy of other guests staying in the room. I am a frequent traveler of resort type of lodging and privacy of other guests should mindfully be respected I believe in India due to cultural settings and is quite challenging but tactfully "
