Large and clean. Have kitchen, fridge, oven, and even a capsule coffee machine with capsule. Have a large dinning table for 4. Located at the centre of town and there are restaurants within 50 meters which close late.
The location right on the main street of the old town, it was great. It was a walk up, no elevator, so we were lucky to only have smaller bags to not have to worry about bringing large bags upstairs. The room was very nice with the additional sitting area and kitchen and table and view of the street and the mountains. it being June and summer, we were surprised that the bar across the street only really got busy after midnight, and continued until 3 AM when people came out into the streets loud and drinking. Ended up being very noisy and kept us awake, our only disappointment.
We booked the attic unit, which is the largest one, with a small terrace. The place is very beautiful, but the attic is on the top floor with no elevator, so we have to climb up 5 flights of stairs. The stairs are very narrow, and we are struggling while dragging our large suitcases. The ceiling of the attic is slanted, and we are not used to frequently hitting our heads.
No on site staff, but they weren't necessary. I did find the main light fixture in the room to be not bright enough.

The road was closed and I wasn’t able to get to this place. This situation happens very often in Iceland and this hotel is ready to take advantage of it if it happens. Be careful with your money with them because I had a hotel that was willing to adjust to my plans. But this is NOT one of them. The girl who picked up the phone was NOT even able to speak English well. It’s fine. My dog will just skip a meal for you.
