Stayed in this property for 4d3n and it felt like home. Rooftop jacuzzi was beyond awesome as it was a huge and sophisticated model. A gas griller and washing area are available on the rooftop too. Quiet environment as it’s nestled a little far in from the main road. Our property was facing the mountains and sunset which offered lovely scenery every day, be it rain or shine. Lots of natural lighting and breeze in the room which made the entire stay pleasant. Personally, I loved their super soft and bouncy bed but my husband had a hard time getting used to it. Location is a little far off compared to other resorts but for the serenity and view, I would stay here again. About the jacuzzi: Upon checking in, we spotted some debris and sand in the tub and asked if they could change the water for us. However, we were told that the water is changed weekly and it would cost us 500 baht to change the existing water at our request. So, we settled with them cleaning the jacuzzi for us which didn’t help much. Room amenities: Some basic room amenities such as hand/face towels, bath robes and tissue boxes were not provided in our room. We had to call the housekeeping to send us a hairdryer as well. Not sure if it only happened to us as I saw some guests wearing bath robes by the pool. Toilet: Would suggest the management to have a shower door to block out the water and work on the plumbing system as it smells pretty bad when we came back after a day out. (Note: Although I do know this is common in Thailand) Balcony: An insect screen door would be useful for guests who would like to be keep their balcony doors opened at night. Overall, I enjoyed my stay but I wouldn’t know if we would feel the same if the resort has higher occupancy.

This resort has all the makings of a 4-5 star resort just that i always seem to be lacking of minor changes. I stayed there for 2 nights in a 2 bed room with private pool villa. The rooms were good except that there were quite a number of houseflies in the area so maybe they should provide some form of repellant. The pool was good and the staff were courteous as well. However, they was hardly any hot water from the showers be it from the bath tub or the normal overhead showers. Having a hot shower was important for me after a long day and i couldnt get it at black lotus. Next, I also rented 2 bikes from Black lotus at 300 bht per day which is more than normal from other motorcycle rentals. I was willing to pay as the resort was located quite far off the main shopping district and I did not want to travel to and fro returning my bike. When i received the bike it was running low on petrol and the horn didnt work. I mean i already paid a premium for the bikes the least u could do was provide some petrol and fully operating bikes. The next was the rental was for 24hrs and we wanted to extend for another 4 hours. Initially after some bargaining we were told they would extend for free which i tot was very good of the hotel. In the end they charged me an extra 100 per bike for extension -_-. I wasnt in a mood to argue over 100 bht so i just paid. Overall it was a good experience but all these nitty gritty details left a sourish taste. I would consider going back to black lotus but only if they offered better service for customers who are willing to stay off the main areas .

one of the best (if not the best) hotel experience i've ever had. pretty new (opened on aug 2017) so everything are fresh. the part that i like about X2 is the services more than the hardware, it was excellent. more than enough drinking water provided, golf cart from front door to reception even it's just 30 m away. there are bicycles to borrow if you want to look around, we asked for a two seats bicycle after check out and the staff took the brand new one from the warehouse! the location of X2 is about 15 mins away from the night market, but you can have hotel to arrange pickup and delivery (with fee) if you are not driving.

This is a fantastic location as long as you have your own transport. Only 10-15 minutes drive to Hua Hin Centre or Kao Takiab beaches. The Clay houses are beautiful to stay in, spacious and private with either views of the lake or more private views of the river behind. There is a loud music party every Sunday at the next door temple that goes to around midnight but apart from that it is a very peaceful place. The bikes and kayaks are free to use for guests. Unfortunately the bikes were a bit rundown when we got there - lots of flat tyres and chains coming off - but the manager came by and quickly got things sorted out and provided us with brand new Trek bikes which were big enough for me and my husband to use as we are both very tall. The ATVS weren't working but again the manager quickly got them all towed away to get fixed when we told him of the issue. He was very generous and gave us further nights at a discount for the inconvenience so great customer care. The best thing was that we were able to take our dog. We stayed at one of the Clay Huts on the River (OVal Romance) and it has a private terrace at the back which the dog could sleep on. They say they don't take big dogs but we rang them ahead and they said it was fine. Its on 100 acres so lots of walks to take dog on. Paddling up the river - although not a long stretch is great fun. Pool was fantastic - had it to ourselves most of the time and food pretty good. We will definitely come back - best of both worlds - countryside with day trips to the beach. The owner can arrange transport for you to if you need it.
