Ok so we are an older cpl and had a top floor room. If you have walking difficulties, it might not be the room for you but if not, the view and location is worth it. So, let's be honest... We loved it, the terrace to the front of our room, is covered and big. Table and 2 chairs available to use per room. We had an unobstructed view out to the sea, and it was great for the sunset.. we had the inclusive breakfast, which again was excellent and cooked to order. Being English, we had the full English of course..sorry, but also on offer was cereals, toast, fruit, etc. hot fresh coffee and served by very helpful and smiling staff.. A downside, of it bothers you, there is a cockeral close by, behind the hotel. He of course decides to give his lungs an outing for about 5 mins first thing.. Didn't bother us by the way. There is live entertainment on in the bar at night (a very good female guitar singer) who plays until around 10.45pm. There is the compulsory 7/11 across from the hotel and this is where the walkway is down to the beach, 2 mins at the most. The beach and sea is used by surfers, so as you can imagine,the sea has large waves,, but again not a problem if you don't mind. It's good people watching anyway. There is a fire show on the beach, again just behind the 7/11 near to the beach bar called the Scar Bar. The guys did a show for over 30 mins and just ask for tips. Great if you have never seen one before(we hadn't!. ) We had to leave early on our last morning,so would have missed out breakfast, but staff asked if we wanted a pack up to take away.. Thankyou it was lovely. So, all in all, a great place, close (5 mins walk) into Kata main area, bars, street food court etc, and Karon, the next resort is only a short local bus ( 40 baht) ride away. We would highly recommend it.. G and D..
