The Best Place to Stay while in Patong Beach - A+”

U Zenmaya Phuket Resort is the best place to stay while in Phuket, Thailand. It is located a few kilometers away from Patong Beach, overlooking the Andaman Sea and Patong Bay. And the views are simply breath-taking. Imagine waking up everyday to the picturesque view of the Andaman Sea and Patong Bay is truly amazing. Definitely paradise right from your room. I understand all of the rooms in the hotel take advantage of this magnificent scenery -- even the resort's restaurant, pool area and lounge bar have amazing views as well. This is definitely one of the resort's strongest point. And should you decide to go to Patong Beach to check out the night life or do some shopping, transportation is not a problem. The resort has free shuttle service to Jungceylon Mall in Patong Beach twice a day. Would have been better if there's pick-up service back to the hotel.. but going back to the hotel or getting around the area isn't really a problem as there are a lot of taxis and tuk-tuks plying the area, even at night or even in the wee hours of the morning. We got the Junior Suite Seaview Pool Access which comes with 1 Hour Spa treatment for 2 persons per stay. Truly, great value for money! The resort staff are ever friendly, helpful and speak & understand English very well. Kudos to the resort's F&B Manager Pom who made my friend's birthday extra special by whipping up a surprise creme brulee birthday "cake" during our stay... and to Chef Garfield who make sure everything was ok and checked too see if we have the best stay possible in the resort. Definitely, highly recommended for those who want to get the best of the both what Patong Beach has to offer and the best of a 5-star resort!!!

Relaxing and rejuvenating trip from work stress!”

We had a fabulous stay at U Zenmaya! When we first arrive, we had a personalised check-in service by one of the friendly staff who walked us through the resort. We were also asked to choose the type of pillow and soap of our preference. Most hotels have a check-in time of 2pm and check-out time of 12pm. However at U Zenmaya, we have a full 24hr use of the room as the check-out time depends on the time you check-in. Our room comes with a Jacuzzi and a small private pool shared amongst 3 rooms, facing a stunning ocean view. Their main pool is an infinity pool overlooking the Andaman Sea, but it is kinda small. Our room also comes with a complimentary spa service everyday, so we don't even have to go to the massage parlour at the Patong area. Even the complimentary breakfast provided is of good quality. Besides a continental buffet spread, we ordered our main from an ala carte menu during the weekdays. (Normal American breakfast buffet on weekends). The only disadvantage is that the resort only offers shuttle service to Jungceylon twice per day and is a single trip. But it is easy to get around as the resort is situated between Kamala and Patong beach. It offers free rental of bicycles, but you can also rent a motorbike to get u to Patong area and the Main shopping malls at Jungceylon. It is only about 10 min ride. This resort is newly opened and only have about 50 rooms, so it wouldn't get too crowded or noisy. It is a perfect getaway to recharge and rejuvenate. If we come to Phuket again, this is the hotel we will want to stay again for sure. Excellent service and friendly staff! Thumbs up!

Our stay at U Zenmaya Phuket Resort was almost perfect from when we stepped in to when we left the hotel. My partner and I were on a vacation to recharge from our stressful daily routines in Singapore and we were more than satisfied with our stay. The service by the staff were impeccable and despite a slight language barrier, the hospitality shown by them made our experience very fulfilling. The location of the hotel was ideal with its close proximity to the sea and being some distance away from the bustling Patong beach, it offered us a tranquil and zen experience that served the purpose of our vacation. The only regret we have is not being able to spend a longer time at the resort and will definitely be returning to U Zenmaya during future trips to Phuket.

Relaxing stay”

It was my 1st time in Phuket, it was a pleasant and joyful stay in U Zenmaya. Starting from the airport transfer pick up at the Phuket airport i felt being a value customer to them. The driver has prepared cold mineral water with cold towels pack in a ice box and gave it to us immediately after we board the car. Check in staff was friendly and informative, cleanliness of room is good for the suite i stay, hotel area cleanliness is considered well kept maybe because the hotel is still quite new. The common swimming pool is decent enough for a swim and sun bathing outside the busy patong beach. Price of the mini bar is considered as reasonable and acceptable compare to some big names hotel in the town. Tried almost all the room service menu as the room is too cosy and relaxing for me to go out, the food prices is acceptable for its portion and nice display especially the desserts. Only minus point of the room service menu is its a little bit limited choices but the taste is delicious. Wifi network is strong enough to cover throughout every corner of the hotel. Over all the hotel is considered good for couple stay with nice view and facilities, only minus point is no amenities eg 7-11 or shops around the vicinity so has to rely much on the bi hourly hotel transport to the town. I will stay in U Zenmaya again if i am back to Phuket.

Best hotel”

U Zenmaya is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The hotel is clean, the room is beautiful and the staffs are super friendly :) This hotel has fabulous concepts such as 1) the timing we check out will be the timing we check in (for eg, if you checked in at 5pm, you are allowed to check out at 5pm, instead of the usual check out timing, 12noon, for all hotels). 2) They allow us to take one drink per person of our own preferred choice from the minibar as our welcome drink! Awesome :) 3) if you are unable to make it for breakfast in the morning, you still maintain your daily free breakfast entitlement; just choose a breakfast dish from the room service menu and ask them to send to your room when you feel like eating. How cool is that!! I am truly impressed by their concepts and flexibility.. For this, I give 2 thumbs up!! The staffs are always smiling and greeting us + their service is prompt! You wake up to beautiful scene of the ocean everyday and the pool has breathtaking view too! I am impressed and in love with their hospitality. My bf and I feel like a king there and thanks for allowing us to feel great there! On a downside, perhaps U Zenmaya can improve on their housekeeping attentiveness (for eg, other than replacing the towels, do take note to replenish the cotton buds and tissue box too). Other than that, U Zenmaya is definitely an amazing and worthy hotel to stay, to be returned upon and a great hotel away from the bustling city of Patong. Excellent job U Zenmaya! See you soon again :)

Awesome place to stay”

The hotel policy was awesome. They have a 24hour stay policy. I booked for 2 night stay in U Zenmaya. I reached at 6pm that Friday evening and they allow me to check out Sunday 6pm. The timing is just nice for me to catch my flight at 9pm. Staff is super nice that I can't resist to tip them. This resort is super new that you can hardly find any dust in the room, even at the back of the TV. They have a widespread of food for breakfast that I kept eating until I can totally skip my lunch. Their dinner menu is even greater. Quality food with right amount of portion to keep the ladies full. Room is fantastic with the outdoor jacuzzi. Hearing sea waves 24/7 while soaking in the hot tub. The toilet is open concept with full glass window. You can pull down the blinds if you are not comfortable. My room was on the top floor and I have a very clear view day and night. It is so relaxing to sit at the balcony drinking my wine and just relax with my mind blank. Very awesome that it hard to describe in words. You will need to experience it yourself. The only setback is that the resort has only 2 one way trip shuttle service to the nearest mall Jungceylon in Patong. You will need to spend 300baht one way trip (be it a Tuk Tuk or taxi) from Patong to the resort. And they do not screen world cup in all the rooms. You will need to make your way to their bar to watch it. If i am travelling to Phuket again, I will stay here. If you stay 4 nights in a row, you can arrange with the resort directly for free airport transfer. This will help you save 800baht one way trip from the airport.

A wonderful and relaxing stay”

We are so lucky to book the room with flash deal 50%!!And What a big big surprise is that our room has been upgraded to the suite one because our room was under maintainence. Although the suite has no pool assess, the size of it and view from the living room is great(but the privacy is a bit concern as our suite is just above the restaurant and guests and we easily saw each other, luckily it is not crowded while our stay.)The infinity pool is a bit small but just fit us and the Andaman sea view is perfect. Also, the Spa is good and relaxing too. I recommend Sunta(massage with the coconut oil one)after trying three types. The variety of food for breakfast buffet is not many as I expect but I found it was enough at last and the taste is good such as mushroom, chicken, yogurt, cereal. And, you can order eggs from kitchen and I think the cook can use less oli to cook the fried eggs). Further,people may concern the location is a bit far from Patong(15 mins by tuk tuk, 300 bhat, you could try to bargain a lower fee^^), but I think the location of U Zenmaya can stay away from busy and crowded streets, the quiet and calm are what we desire. Of cos, it is suggested to increase the frequency of free shuttle(one way to patong only)and to provide the return bus. All in all, we love this resort and have a splendid trip in these 4 days 3 nights!! Hints: ask the staff to help reserve the SPA and shuttle by email before coming to Phuket if you want to enjoy the SPA with your partner/friends/family members at the same time slot and room.

Perfect for a quiet getaway”

Spent two nights at the U Zenmaya Phuket wth my wife and it was the best two nights we've ever spent in Phuket, having already been here on 4 occasions. The view from our Deluxe Sea View room was phenomenal. Falling asleep and waking to the sound of waves crashing into the rocks was therapeutic and calming. The staff were extremely warm and friendly, and were never too far away to provide help when needed. Breakfast selection, although limited, was delicious. The free shuttle to and fro Jungceylon is very useful for traveling to the bustling streets and alleyways of Patong, but for a quiet getaway, one will be hard pressed to find a better option than U Zenmaya Phuket.

Amazing and fantastic hotel”

This is our second stay at U Zenmaya, Phuket this summer. An amazing hotel in all respects. Lovely setting with a nice view over the sea. Big, comfortable and very well equipped rooms. The best buffet breakfast you can dream of and a very friendly and helpful staff. This time with younger family members and pool-lovers, we stayed at two Deluxe Seaview Pool Access rooms, each 50m2. Lovely and well worth the extra price, if you are pool lovers. Not the cheapest Phuket hotel, far from. But with the exceptional quality, it is well worth the price paid. We have already bboked rooms for another stay at U Zenmaya in November and once more look forward to their amazing facilities and services.

Excellent and amazing hotel”

We stayed three nights at U Zenmaya Phuket and we loved every minute. The location is fantastic (overlooking the beaches around Patong). Excellent big and comfortable rooms (and each room has a lovely jacuzzi on the verandah overlooking the sea). Big and very well assorted buffet breakfast. Lovely infinity pool with a fantastic view. Friendly and very helpful staff. Not the cheapest hotel on Phuket, but with all the qualities, it adds up to very good value for money. On a scale from 1 to 10, we award U Zenmaya a 12.. We will be back, for sure

A great posh escape from busy Phuket”

We stayed in a Jacuzzi suite with sea view, I could be wrong but I believe all rooms here have the sea view. I love the posh simple clean design of our room. Very spacious and great vista of the Andaman sea from every corners in our room. Great infinity pools all around the property. We included spa sessions with our 4-night stay. It was such a great escape from the hot and busy Phuket. The hotel locates very close to the road (though most hotels here are close to every road), which could be noisy if you're outside. But once we entered our room, it blocked out the noises, very zen. Breakfast and room service were great. This property is away from rowdy Patong but not far, only 10-15 minutes away. It was a busy trip for us visiting Phuket, but we blocked one day to just enjoy ourselves at the hotel, and I'm glad we did. I'd gladly recommend U Zenmaya resort to anyone.

The rooms are huge and spacious and very comfortable. The food at the cafe was also very good. Ocean views were beautiful and it really makes a nice place to stay away from the crowds. They do have shuttle service into Patong so theres no need to worry about that. For the price, U Zenmaya Phuket is an awesome place to stay for those who want to be away from the crowds and to wake up to sweeping ocean views without busting the bank account. Service at the cafe also deserves special mention.

We stayed in room with private pool shared with another two rooms. The hotel has helped arranged the room next to us for our friends so we could share the same pool. Sunset was beautiful here. The wave hitting the coast sounds so peaceful. Breakfast was great with a variety of food and warm hot food. The spa service was great but our friends said it's not as good as in Patong center. Overall, I'm very amazed by the resort and I'm planning to come back again to U Zenmaya in the sunny days! Little problems: Water temperature in our Jacuzzi was hard to adjust. It was cold after a while so we gave up. Ventilation of the shower room is not good that it gets misty easily. The interior design of the rooms can be better / more thai authentic. It's very spacious and I think the hotel can make better design on using the space.

Paradise in Phuket”

This hotel is a real 5 star hotel. The staff is amazing! Their customer service skills are remarkable. They helped us from the very beginning. Made us feel welcome. They provided us with all the necessary things we need. I like the part where they asked us to choose the scent for our toiletries and the type of pillows we want. The duck feather is the best. A must try! The pool and the view is exquisite. I love the jacuzzi in the balcony overlooking the sea. It was so relaxing. We stayed at room 344. It was beautiful and the room was well kept everyday. The hotel wasn't crowded. It was in a good spot. Not too far from Patong Beach and Jungceylon mall. But not too close as well. The shuttle were always on time. Just hope they add more timings in the afternoon. The breakfast is definitely worth it. They have a selection of different types. They have freshly cooked eggs station and serves not just coffee or tea but also latte, cappuccino and espresso at no cost at all. So if you're staying here, I suggest you don't skip their breakfast spread. I didn't get the names of the staff as all of them were really nice and helpful. Jekki, Carla & all the ladies at the reception were always ready to help with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It's truly a paradise in Phuket. Thank you U Zenmaya. We will definitely come back again.

Relaxing Paradise”

U Zenmaya was the last hotel of our honeymoon in Phuket and it didn't disappoint. We booked the ocean view room and the view was special. The beds are big and comfortable and the room overall is clean and modern. The food at the hotel while a bit pricey is very good especially the breakfast buffet and they will deliver to your room at any time if you miss it. The infinity pool and the view of the ocean from it is amazing! The hotel while somewhat remote is close enough to patong and there are provided shuttles to and from which was great. The staff are wonderful and accommodating and really made our stay there enjoyable. The only negative of the hotel is that it can be loud in the room due to the main road and the rooms are close enough to each other that we could hear our neighbors when they would come back from a night of partying. Beautiful Boutique Resort”

Tried many hotels in Phuket. Decided on U Zenmaya for its seaview room n jacuzzi with seaview - no regrets. All the good reviews r true. We loved the attention to details n additional value such as free drink of your choice from the mini bar, choice of buffet breakfast or in room breakfast set, free shuttle to n from Junceylon in Patong, 24 hour check in check out policy!! Dessert n ala carte menu was much better than their buffet. Romantic ambience. Very professional friendly hotel staff. Definitely will return again.

Best view from infinity pool”

The first thing that inspired us was that we could choose the type of pillow and the flavour of soap to use during our stay. The room was very nice, clean, modern equipped with the astonishing view to the seaside. The jacuzzi in the balcony was especially good to use at night. We had some problems with jacuzzi (it sometimes turned on by itself during the night and the water started to pour above the edge of it). The first night we came we decided to have a dinner at the beautiful terrace above the seaside. There was plenty choice of food, especially seafood! It took them a little bit long to prepare the meal, but they apologized with the free course of huge shrimps and when we came after dinner to our room there was a delicious chocolate cake waiting for us. I don't know if this was part of their apology too, but all in all, it was a nice gesture. Oh, and I have to praise the waiter that was very entertaining, smiling all the time, always knowing what to say. The infinity pool is really magnificent during the day and also at night with a beautiful seaview. They provide fresh towels there, but no free glass of cold water (as we were used to in our previous hotel). When it was really hot they had a nice gesture to come to you with the cold spray of water to refresh your face. The food (U Zenmaya sandwiches) we ordered at the swimming pool was really tasty but a bit expensive. The breakfast was nice with a lot of choice, although we missed the real coffee that was hard to find anywhere at Phuket (they all provide some instant mixtures of it). We also tried the cocktails at their bar during the happy hour (buy one, get 2), they were all very good! Location is close to all the entertainment at Patong and the hotel's shuttle drives there and back 3 times a day (but the last one goes back at around 3pm, which is too bad). Hotel is in between the main road and the beach, so you can sometimes hear the noise from the road while swimming at the outdoor pool.

Nice new hotel with potential”

U Zenmaya is a nice new hotel with beautiful, big rooms. We had the Seaview junior suite with pool (and big terrace). The room was huge and we had our own Jacuzzi in the room. Bart at the reception was really very kind and friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we entered the lobby. The hotel has a nice infinity pool and a beautiful in- and outdoor restaurant. The food was good. We loved the spa. The only down point of the hotel is its location. There’s nothing there, not even a beach worthy of the name. We knew that before we booked, so we are not complaining about it. After all it is only a short drive to Patong or other beaches, but we don’t really understand the choice of location. U Zenmaya could grow out to be one of the better hotels in Phuket if it wasn’t for its location. Another minus: we tried to have a late checkout (around 4 pm) but we had to pay more for the three extra hours than the total price we had to pay for the room (we booked our room as a special offer!). But for the three extra hours they charged 50% of the rack rate (which was more than double the price we paid for our two days stay!) So we checked out at 1 pm had to sit at the terrace to wait for our transport to the airport at 4.30 pm. That was a little regrettable, since there were not so many rooms occupied, and otherwise we could have enjoyed the pool a little longer and have a shower afterwards before heading to the airport for a long flight home.
