Second Time Around at V Hotel Lavender”

We again enjoyed our stay at V Hotel Lavender. Since this time around we had a less hectic schedule, we were able to spend more time in our hotel and enjoy more of the facilities available to guests. As before, the location is our number 1 reason for staying at V Hotel Lavender. While in general V Hotel Lavender is “clean and tidy”, our rating for cleanliness is a point lower this time primarily because when we checked-in early, it seemed that the bed linens had not been changed prior to our arrival (i.e., they didn't look and smell fresh); as such, we had to request housekeeping to have the bed linens replaced with fresh ones. Housekeeping responded quickly (i.e., within 5 minutes) and in a few minutes we had fresh bed linens. The hot water availability was OK this time, the in-house/local numbers of the hotel worked this time (e.g., housekeeping, room service, etc.), and as before, the hotel staff were very courteous, friendly, and helpful. V Hotel Lavender may want to consider the following: (1) installing a shower head with adjustable height, so that the height of the shower head can be raised or lowered; (2) opening the breakfast buffet 30-60 minutes earlier; (3) providing free & secure in-room WiFi with password; and (4) providing more channels in the Cable TV (e.g., Discovery Channel, National Geographic, History, HBO, Star Movies, Cinemax, etc.). Other than that minor glitch with the bed linens, we are happy with our stay at V Hotel Lavender and when we visit Singapore again, we would like to stay at V Hotel Lavender again.

Unbeatable location!”

Stayed in V Hotel's triple room for 4 nights. Loved that the room had an entire wall with a fantastic view - even better than other 5 star hotels in City Hall area. Staff were punctual with requests, trash bins were emptied and we always come back to a clean room after a long day of touring. Had a little problem with the air conditioning though. Seems to be set at a certain temperature which is a bit warm for our taste, considering Singapore being hot and humid. Would have been great to be greeted with a cool room to rest for the night. Hotel sent someone to fix it but the temperature was still regulated. Aside from that, could have used more toiletry products in the bathroom. There were three of us in the room and they only give 1 small shampoo, lotion and body wash containers. Shower enclosure was too snug and there was no exhaust in the bathroom. Other than that, water pressure was good, hot and cold water was available, and they were very generous with bath towels. MRT, food court, money changer, bakery, and a souvenir shop were all walking distance from the hotel. Old Chang Kee (fried nuggets on sticks) and Kopithiam (SG and Malaysian food court) are a must try. Staff were very helpful when checking out. You can also leave your luggage at the hotel lobby after checking out. They'd give you tags so you can collect them later in the day. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay in V Hotel Lavender. Will book here when we visit Singapore again.

Great December in V Hotel Lavender”

We enjoyed our stay at V Hotel Lavender for the ff. reasons: 1.Location. It is right "on top" of the MRT Station; very accessible (even to & from the Airport). 2.Clean & Tidy. In our 7-day stay, our room was cleaned at least daily, our linens/towels & the complementary bottled water, shampoo, shower gel, etc. were replaced/refilled daily. 3.Buffet Breakfast. Given our limitations in what we can eat for health & other reasons, there were more than enough of the dish we could eat. 4.Hotel Staff. Mr. Faizal(?) was the first one who greeted us as we entered the hotel lobby, he was more than happy to help us w/ our luggage, & he even helped us find places we wanted to visit. The housekeeping staff were very courteous whenever they would enter our room to clean it, they greet us every time our paths crossed. The restaurant staff were also very courteous as they continue to keep our table free of used plates/utensils during the buffet breakfast. Miss Gwen (Reservations Officer) was kind enough to answer our emails promptly (though we regret not having met her personally during our stay). The front desk personnel were also very helpful whenever we would have questions. For consideration: a)There would be times when the hot water is not hot enough. We experienced this a couple of times between 8am-12noon & 8pm-12midnight. b)It would be better if the height of the shower head could be adjusted (higher or lower). c)It would be better if the buffet breakfast could be started earlier ending at the same time; that is, 6am to 10am (instead of 7am to 10am). d)It would be better if there are clearer instructions on what numbers to call for room service, front desk, etc. When we tried it a few times, our call would get disconnected, so we just assumed that we may be dialing the wrong numbers. In any case, we plan to go back to Singapore for more trips & when we do, we will stay at V Hotel Lavender again & book it through agoda.com!

Fantastic Stay at Lavender V”

I visited Singapore from 9th to 13th June, 2017. Our choice of hotel V Lavender proved to be a very good choice. This hotel is centrally located and commuting from here to Marina By the Bay, Singapore Flyer, USS, Santosa, Orchid Garden etc. is very easy. There is also an MRT Station just beside this hotel. Independent tourists will find it very helpful. Plus there are several food options which also add to the comfort of the stay. Kopitam is also there and I think it is open 24 hours. The hotel was clean, staff was prompt and courteous and the facilities are good. We had booked a triple room and the view from the hotel was equally good. The hotel gives one phone with Singapore SIM to every hotel guest I guess. I tried to use the one in my room but it was proving to be slightly difficult with little battery back up and unfamiliar interface. So I didn't use it outside room. We had taken a SIM from Airport and we used that throughout our trip. There is nothing that went below our expectations at V Lavender and we were quite happy with our stay. In fact my wife and daughter occasionally say we are missing Singapore and Lavender V.... I also have same feelings quite often but Vacations cannot continue forever and one has to get back to work....

The perfect location in for budget travelers”

ok first off, good luck at finding a decent cheaper priced hotel in the center of singapore. my boyfriend picked our first hotel in singapore located in chinatown called the chinatown hotel and it was awful. thank god we only spent one night there. so our impression of singapore hotels was not so good. we prayed the v hotel would be better- and it was! don't expect a huge room, but do expect a nicely furnished, clean room with more than 1 channel on the tv, a safe, and plenty of hot water. they are like upscale dorm rooms, but with a nice pool in the middle courtyard. also i didn't see any roaches like i did at the chinatown hotel. i also can't say enough about the location- you could not be any closer to the subway than this! lavender is the metro stop. once you leave the station make a left into a food court and walk past it. once you get to the corner you will see it on your right- v hotel! also some of the food places in the food court are open 24 hours and are very tasty. plus the station is in direct route to the sia airport, raffles hotel, raffles mall, etc. we were only spending the night so we took the train from sia, spent the night, then took the first train the next day back to the airport which came at 6:30am. we arrived to the airport around 7am. it was so easy! i highly recommend this hotel to budget travelers, stop overs and short stays. there is no comparison to the price and value of this hotel. i will definitely stay there again!

"Beautiful hotel in a convenient location"”

the best thing i like about v hotel lavender is the reasonable price but you get 5 star accommodation. the rooms we booked: triple room and superior room were both clean and beautiful especially the triple room at the 5th floor which gives a beautiful view of the kallang road and victoria bridge and nearby vicinities. the bathrooms are clean although the shower room affords very limited space. anyway, it is compensated by a strong, warm water.the front desk staff are accommodating and efficient.our family had fun at the hotel's swimming pool at the 4th floor sky terrace garden. it is also an added point that the hotel is just on top of the lavender mrt station.

Great location, but small rooms.”

V Hotel Lavender is a great hotel for short stays in Singapore. If you are wanting a modern, clean, comfortable hotel with good customer service and ultimately just a place to sleep, then this is the place to stay. I've now stayed there twice, and for the purpose of my travel, it ticks every box for me. Compared to other hotels in Singapore, the price is quite good, particularly with the buffet breakfast included. The only minor concern is that the rooms are quite small and if I had a travelling companion, then it could have been a bit squishy. As I was on my own, and out of the room most of the time whilst in Singapore, it didn't really matter. The staff were helpful and friendly, and I will be staying there again next time I visit Singapore.

Fourth stay at V Hotel Lavender”

This was my fourth stay at V Hotel Lavender. I keep returning to the hotel, mainly for the great rates (Singapore is becoming increasingly expensive) and location.It is located above the Lavender MRT station (on the EW line) so very accessible to/from Changi airport and the rest of the island. There is also a 24hr Kopitiam, Wendys, bakery, beverage outlets etc downstairs, so you'll never go hungry! Yes, the rooms are rather small,but you are only there to sleep, so it's really not an issue. The pool (and very small gym)is located on the 4th floor (between the two hotel towers)so the pool water is always cool as it doesn't get much sun on it; quite refreshing after a day of sightseeing! As our flight back to Australia wasn't until 11.35pm, we approached the front office to enquire about a late checkout. We had no problem in organizing checkout until 6pm (it cost S$20 p/hr to keep the room), which was great. All in all, another great stay at V Hotel Lavender and I will keep returning.

Great Location and Clean Room”

My family love the hotel very much and we really enjoyed our stay with V Hotel during our visit to Singapore last week. The hotel has a great location, few steps away from the restaurants, food stalls, bakery shop, and a 24 hours kopitiam (Food Court). The hotel just right on top of Lavender MRT station, makes our travelling easier. Just 1 minute walk, and will reach the MRT station. We travelled from Changi Airport, took an around 26 mins MRT ride, and reached the hotel with only few Sing dollars. Although we came early, but there are available rooms, and the hotel arranged us to check in earlier. Really appreciate the helpful and friendly staffs, they fulfilled all my room requests. I will definitely stay in V Hotel Lavender again if I come to visit Singapore again...!!!

Very nice hotel with great location”

My flight was delayed, so I only arrived at the hotel nearing to 8 p.m. As I have a prior appointment at 8 p.m which I was already late, I'm thankful that the check-in process was done quickly. I arrived back at the hotel around midnight and immediately prepared to sleep. I have to say the close proximity of the hotel and the Lavender MRT Station is the one thing I appreciated very much as I relied heavily on the train service for my transportation during my stay in SG. Another thing, after exiting the Lavender mrt station, on my way to the hotel, there's a variety of food I can make a selection from. There's even a small souvenir shop between all the food corners, which is a great thing for last minute buying if you forgot to buy some before. One thing that I found unexpected is a safety deposit box inside the wardrobe. Even thought I'm not using it, I still find it convenience to have. It gives you a sense of security and comforts any uneasy thoughts of having to bring along your valuable items. Overall, I have a very good stay at V Hotel Lavender.

a surprsingly great hotel. i can say so many good things about v hotel lavender. 1. super friendly & efficient staff. from the moment you get off the cab all the way to your room. in 5 minutes i was in my room. i breezed through check-in. unbelievable. 2. clean triple rooms. smoke free hotel. house keeping, they make sure everything is new & fresh everyday. 3. location. location. location. conveniently prime. mrt right below the hotel. 24 hour food court. bus stop right across. taxi on stand by. just 1 drawback for me. the price was a bit high. (well, aren't most hotels in singapore?) overall, highly recommended.! i would definitely use this hotel again in the future. edmund from jakarta & manila

2nd stay at the V.”

We have stayed at the V. Hotel Lavender twice now and find that it suits us because it gives us access to all the major sites in Singapore. We particularly enjoy trying all the different food at the food outlets around the hotel. The room is small, but comfortable. The only negative that we have is that of the breakfast deal. The food is not up to the standard that we have experienced at other hotels in Singapore and is quite expensive. If you get that right, then the V. Hotel Lavender would tick all the boxes. We shall choose to stay at this hotel next time we are in Singapore.

Location, Local Food Options, Nice Hotel”

I've stayed in many budget hotels in Singapore but I tired quickly of the awful experience of these cheap hotels. For a few dollars more I stayed at the V Hotel Lavender and now I won't stay anywhere else. The location is excellent, directly above the MRT Lavender stop. To get there from the airport follow the signs inside the terminal to the "Train to the City" pay the fare, transfer trains one time just outside the airport property (everyone must transfer to the main train line at this point) then continue on this train line (called the "Green" Line) directly to Lavender MRT -- then go up the escalator or elevator, and the hotel is right there. The staff are attentive, the room was very clean, and the staff at the front door are EXCELLENT (the guys in the black jackets). If you have any question about Singapore, how to get to places, how long it takes, how much a taxi costs, where local places are to eat, how to find a grocery story, -- these guys at the front door are top notch and excellent. The hotel has at least 12 places to eat local food, at everyday prices, within a 1 minute walk of the hotel's main door. Walk one block away and there's a well stocked grocery store with fresh fruit and everything else you'd expect. There's also a (very small) 24-hour mini-mart just to the right of the hotel's main door where you can get water and small essential items. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. I did not get the breakfast option so I cannot comment on this. I found the internet to be slow when loading sites outside of Singapore, but when I used my own custom software that pools the bandwidth possible from their WiFi services I discovered that they have a 20 meg download and 20 meg upload speed available via their WiFi connection. I'm guessing someone needs to reconfigure their routers to optimize traffic outside Singapore.

Improved Service”

The last time I went here is 3 years ago. During that time, V hotel Lavender was already OK however they made some improvements when we visit the hotel such as Free use of Mobile Phone (Handy), provision of toiletries had a nice packaging, the staff were very courteous and polite from the hotel reception to house keeping. The location as well is strategic because the last time we went here there were no supermarket (Fair Price) then lots of food shops opened across the hotel that made my choice of V Hotel Lavender more favorable. The next time you visit Singapore, V Hotel Lavender is strongly recommended

Only hotel I ever returned to in Singapore”

I stay in Singapore usually 2-3 nights a week and I've been booking different hotels every week in the $80-$110 price range. So far I've stayed at over 10 different hotels in Singapore and I've got to say, V Hotel Lavender is the only hotel that I look forward to returning to each time I stay in Singapore. Location - Excellent. The entrance to the MRT is pretty much at the door step of the hotel. There are plenty of eatery including a 24 hr food court right at the ground level of the hotel. Cleanliness - The linens they use for the bed are great quality and are clean as well. Highly recommended for the business travelers who need a nice clean place to return to at the end of the day.

Quiet surroundings”

I'm at V Hotel Lavender 3 nights I felt very comfortable, the staff is very enthusiastic, the hotel is located on Lavender MRT station, it is very convenient for travel. ung around the hotel has a restaurant serving Asian dishes with reasonable prices, then there are fast food restaurants and convenience stores as well. but the room was a little small. If I have the opportunity to return to singapore. I will choose V Hotel Lavender.

Great value for money hotel”

when we travelled, my wife was 5 mos. pregnant and i wanted to avoid making her walk to the nearest bus station. taxis are expensive in singapore so i was glad to find this hotel which literally sits on top of the mrt station on lavender. one just needs to go to the back of the hotel and take the stairs down and you literally have access to the entire city (changing trains at mrt stations in singapore is easy). another thing i liked about this hotel is that there is a food court located just off to its side called kopitiam. mostly serves local cuisine (chinese and malay). cheap and clean food center became our breakfast and dinner place every single day. the hotel also arranged our tours adding only very minimal charges on top of what we would incur if we did it ourselves like booking a tour to universal studios and the singapore zoo which included an all-day pass and shuttle from/to the hotel. friendly staff and very new building (so new, most cab drivers may take you to a different v building if you don't say the address). appears to be very popular with a lots of travellers (extremely busy during our stay).

Good Value and very close to MRT”

We booked this hotel for 2 nights. Arrived there at noon, i was expecting that i wont get a room till 2 pm or so, but.. less than 1 minute, they gave me the room card-keys! What a very good surprise. My room was in 15th floor, with a very good view. The cleanliness is not questionable.. it was perfect. This hotel is actually... exactly connected with the MRT Lavender. This is a huge advantage. With the price we paid, I guess, this is one of the best value for money we ever paid for a stay in Singapore! The next time I visit Singapore, this V hotel will always be my top choice! The only 2 things I would "complain" about this hotel are: 1. The shower facility in the swimming pool is not adequate. You just get: swimming pool and shower. no changing room, no locker, no etc. 2. No free Wifi. Ok, no Wifi in room, but Wifi in Lobby wouldn't hurt, would it?

MRT station just below the hotel building”

Very satisfy that once again I choose V Lavender hotel to stay for 4 days. It easy to go everywhere with MRT station which just below the hotel building, or mall accross the hotel and place to eat everywhere. The room is so clean and comfort although the size is small for big people, even the bathroom is too small. But their staff are awsome, I found mr. Ramadzan very helpful when he gave us information about Singapore and where to shop. With reasonable price for singapore's rate, this hotel is great deal. I choose this because near from bugis, suntec convetion and mall also just walk few minutes to mustafa shopping center. MRT station which below the hotel is the plus point of this hotel.

The hotel is clean although the rooms are small”

first thing everyone needs to understand is that singapore is expensive for hotel stay .. after a lot of research we froze on the v hotel primarily because of its location. travelling by a metro (called mrt in singapore) is one of the wisest choice as its economical and connects every corner of the city. and v hotel stands right on top of the lavender mrt station making commuting very convenient. also, it has a food joint just under the hotel so grabbing a meal isnt too tough. my first impression of the room as soon as i opened the door was that of ' god, this room ended even before it started!' .. the place may seem reasonable for a couple that is travelling light and dont care much about the luxury of the hotel. the bathroom is small again but nothing that is unacceptable. the room has basics like a lcd, water kettle, safe locker, cupboard, mini fridge. all this makes the deal quite good as u dont really find anything really missing in the room except from the size. but thats what you get for this price in singapore! the front desk attendants dont quite believe in customer centricity and are quite straight faced at all times and seem quite worked up at all times. was hard to find a smiling front office rep! the bell boys opening the door seemed much better and would offer help when needed.
