Great gem in the Nimman district”
I must say I was a bit worried after booking due to the relatively low price for the stay but my worries were immediately erased after arriving. Neighbourhood: the hotel is situated from a 5 minute walk off Nimman Road in a quiet residential area. I would say its close enough to the action/traffic but far enough to the noise level. If you walk to opposite way from Nimman Road for 10-15 minutes, there are other hotels and convenience store. It is a block and a half away from some bars which offer entertainment and drinks at night or The Ring, which is a restaurant with an open area for live performances. Rooms: Brightly light and lightly decorated, hot and powerful shower, comfortable and large bed with a balcony and flat screen TV. For the price we paid, I couldn't ask for more. Service: very attentive and personal. The first night we arrived, we called the reception asking for hot water, the next day when we returned to our room (without us asking) it was equipped with our own electric kettle. Staff was friendly and those at the front desk were able to communicate in English. Food: Breakfast was made to order with a choice of 6 varieties. The hotel has their own Italian restaurant equipped with woodstove for pizzas. The food was authentic and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is relaxing and perfect for gathering after a long day of fun. Downside: for those who are super sound sleepers, this area may not be the right one for you. Despite reading previous reviews that planes only pass by above at certain times, I noticed it passing by early morning and late into the night although infrequently (about 1 flight an hour). There was also a stench which I've come across in other reviews and it was evident in the hallways of the top floor where I stayed but not inside the room. I believe it might be a drain issue which is not easy to remedy but since it was outside the room and in the short elevator ride, I can easily let it pass.

Comfortable stay ”
Vulcano Hotel is a newly built hotel with nicely designed and equipped rooms. Due to the assistance of friendly and attentive staff of Vulcano Hotel, we were able to get a free upgrade to the Vulcano Suite. They also allowed us to change our room for free due to a lingering stench that was persistent in our first room. There are many kinks that need to be worked out in this new hotel, but with the presence of the very helpful staff, our stay has proven to be more than enjoyable. The rooms are big, well-equipped, very nicely designed, and the toilets more than wonderful. Location slightly far from central area of Nimmanhemin, but the walk to and from the hotel to the central area was more than enjoyable with the availability of many restaurants, pubs, and cafes. Thank you very much to the staff of Vulcano Hotel Chiang Mai. You have made our stay very enjoyable.

Awesome Clean Boutique Hotel”
Really well located hotel, which was exactly what we were looking for as a couple (close to the city, yet a very quiet area away from all the backpackers and the hustle and bustle of the city centre). It was only a few minutes via tuk tuk to all the places we wanted to go and a short walk to good shops, restaurants, and massage places. We actually decided to try another hotel in the area which was also highly rated however, after comparing the service and cleanliness of that hotel compared to Vulcano, Vulcano hands down was way better. If you're visiting in Chiang Mai, stay in this hotel and you won't be disappointed!!

This Place is so UNDERRATED!”
The staffs are amazing especially the housekeeping ladies. The location is just perfect. Been travelling back and forth to Chiang Mai so many times and stayed at several places but Vulcano knocked out all previous places I've stayed. Definitely would stay at Vulcano the next time I'm back in Chiang Mai.

Charming, Elegant and Meets Many Tastes”
The Vulcano Hotel was a very pleasant surprise! With an amazing staff eager to please, well-designed, clean rooms, thoughtfully Italian-inspired and delectable dishes complemented by great wine supplied by their own wine store, followed by a soothing Jazz band performing on the second floor of their exquisite lounge room, this charming little boutique hotel may be only two months old but hesitating to book this little gem would be a mistake.

perfect stay!”
The hotel is absolutely amazing starting from the design up to food served in the restaurant by an extremely talented chef! We loved the Moroccan style of the interior and exterior of the hotel and beautiful details and materials in the room. But the most outstanding thing in this hotel is its restaurant where the food and wine (and Belgian beer) are incredibly delicious and served so nicely and with a twist. Once we are in Chiang Mai again we'll definitely stay in this hotel or at least visit this fantastic restaurant!

Good hotel, great chef shame about the departure”
I must say that we were pleasantly surprised by this brand new hotel in Chiang Mai, it was clean, elegantly designed but I agree with other reviews that they still need to iron out the creases. Firstly the receptionist, although she helped us out by changing dates for our stay, did not have a very good level of English and had to call the chef, who was excellent, both as a chef and giving assistance, Mr Oh, I think his name was. The very disappointing event was when we were leaving at 7 am to catch a flight and had to wait until our room was checked. We are in our fifties and I think this is the first time this has happened. Being treated like a criminal was not what I expected.

Honeymoon”
Booking Vulcano I was worried about all the negative reviews but once we got there and stayed for 5 days we really wish we stayed there the whole entire trip we were in Thailand. The place was pretty, the staff were so nice and helpful and the location was a huge part of why we loved being there. It was walking distance to all these local cafes, spas and restaurants and just minutes to downtown. I definitely will stay here again!

helpful staff, super stylish hotel, good resturant but no more parking”
I would like to say "Thank you" the staff very lovely and helpful when I arrival until check out. I stay only one night but everything perfect and the price is reasonable. This hotel have restaurant in front of the hotel and location in Nimman street so very comfortable. One problem is don't have parking, was it's street parking. 这个酒店很安静,然后位置好,住在宁曼海敏路所以更方便有很多饭馆和咖啡店在酒店的前面也有饭馆。“整体很好”

Great place in the middle of Chiang Mai”
Super cozy. Near all the attractions in Nimman. We literally walked to all the restaurants we aimed to go to. And quite cheap compared to other hotels. The staffs were super friendly. I accidentally dropped the hotel key into the sewer and they don't even charge me the money, and quickly provided me with the new key set. Strongly Recomended.

Perfect base to explore Chiang Mai”
this hotel is situated amongst a influx for small boutique shops and coffee shops. You are a stones throw from any number of these as well as world famous iberry ice cream shop next door. Plenty of tuk tuk and bench buses come by so you don't have to wait long for one if your want to get into Chiang Mai City centre. Expect to pay anywhere between 90-150 baht each way. The only thing that let the hotel down was the uncharacteristic attitude of the staff. Not the normal, polite, welcoming Thai's you'd come to expect from everywhere else. Don't let that put you off though. Breakfast was included and is served downstairs from a preset menu not from the restaurant book. Rooms were comfortable and monsoon shower is always a winner by me.

Good location, good breakfast”
The location was great for walking to Nimman and exploring, and I enjoyed the included breakfast (even the vegetarian spaghetti). My room was clean enough to be comfortable, but there was some leftover hair scattered in the bathroom. Good shower. My main complaint was lack of communication about the hotel shuttle. I never received confirmation whether it was available (or existed?) and had to take a taxi from the airport. Not a huge deal, but the service is being advertised and it was one more thing I didn't want to deal with after traveling

great location”
I've been there for only 3 days and i have a great experiences visit. It's close to walking street. I walked everyday from the hotel to walking street. Also, I'd recommended for Kao Pad(thai food) at the restaurant downstairs. over all it's nice place to stay and reasonable prices.

Value for money but heater problem”
This hotel is value for money and moderate location. Its at Soi 17 so need further walk to central of Nimman. Heater is the main problem as cannot control the temperature , too hot or total no hot water. No swimming pool or any common area. If you just look for a comfortable room to stay with budget, this is a satisfactory choice

Nice hotel in a quite zone of Nimman road”
I booked a junior suite room with expectation that I would get a bigger room and nicer interior. However, once I entered the room, i needed to call an operator to confirm that they put me in the right room type. No moroccan feeling interiorin the room (as described in a hotel description), and, the room is quite small even I got a cornor room. The door lock was too hard to close and open. A door for connecting room didnt close properly so I could hear a thing from the next room (wall wasnt too thin but door was a problem). No kettle in the room. Apart from these, everything was fine. Staffs were very friendly. Room was very clean. Sexy toilet with curtain cover outside. Good bed, nice sleep.

A really lovely hotel”
This is a really lovely hotel where the owners have obviously made a huge effort to provide high class accommodation and dining in a beautifully designed environment. The hotel is brand new. Its 5 minutes walk from Nimmanhaemin Road's attractions like Warm Up Cafe, shops, restaurants etc., and only 3 minutes walk from the ever-popular Drunken Flower bar. The only small problem was that the hot water was a bit up and down. One minute hot, the next minute cool. We managed, after a bit of juggling with the controls. Being so new I guess some small problems are to be expected, and hopefully they will get it sorted out quickly. We'd definitely stay there again.

Good location, no parking”
Just a short walk to Nimmarn street. The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean. The issue is that our booking through agoda (cash at hotel) is actually booking through booking.com so the receptionist wasn't able to find our booking. Our fault on this one since we didn't read the fine prints. Our first room was on the 4th floor. The air conditioning didn't work, but the room was fairly new and clean. The staff was quick to change the room for us to 3rd floor. Our 3rd floor room has different design, clean but older. The description says that they have parking, but it's street parking, unfortunately, when we arrived, it was raining so we weren't happy about it. We were able to find parking after driving around the block once, but cannot imagine able to find parking during high seasons or long weekends. So yeah for everything, except for the lack of parking.
