“Riverview, close to city centre, good value ”
Positive (+) - Nice river view from the room (see the photo) - Reasonable rate even in the peak time while booking just two days before, for new year eve night (***) - Breakfast included in the room was ok, considering the price - Relatively clean albeit the hotel looks quite dated with interior, furnishings, etc. - Hot water adjustment worked (I am just comparing this with other hotels where there is either normal water or too hot water and nothing in between) - THe neighborhood is good and clean. There is walkway leading to the bridge and to the city center. - The new year fireworks was just 5 mins walk away. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a hotel in Phitsanulok with quick access to new year fireworks plus riverview. Negative (-) - Dated building. Maintainence needed, perhaps an interior makeover too. - Cleanliness is ok but needs improvement. There were hairs on bedsheet from previous guests. - The area just outside the window is very dirty (see photo), windows also not so clean. - Breakfast is Thai so not much of variety if you are not Thai. - The AC was too loud even with minimum fan settings adjusted. I ended up turning off the AC. - Wifi incredibly slow (see the photo of speed test). I ended up buying a data pack from my mobile service provider. - The noise insulation in the room. I was able to hear outside and neighbour's noise. - In the bathroom, the wet and dry area are at the same level and wet area only half enclosed- causing water to easily spill over to the dry area/toilet.
