Lovely hotel, Nice decor. All the staffs are friendly and helpful. This is my first time to travel in Thailand. This hotel and staff adding lots of happiness in my trip. Plus Yesterday hotel is in a good location, nice neighborhood, surrounded by malls, cute shops, Spa. Almost all the Chiang Mai locals I met know this hotel, it is very easy to find the way back to Yesterday. The only thing that need to add is a full length mirror in room. ladies want to look good from head to toes. lol Apart from this. my friend and I really enjoy stay in this hotel, highly recommend to everyone.

Great stay close to University life in Chiang Mai”
This is my favorite botique hotel in Chiang Mai. The theme, as the name suggests, harkens back to the "good old days" of Thai life. Some rooms have old copies of "Mana, Manee" elementary school books as art on the walls (ask any Thai over 30 who went to a Thai primary school about Mana and Manee, and you're sure to get a smile, as they recall how they learned to read and write following their adventures- yeah, I learned to read and write with them too :) As for the rooms, they're about the most comfortable you're going to get for a great price. You're not going to be in the luxury of the Shangri La, but you're also not paying the price. The rooms are quaint, spacey, and the service is friendly and good. As for the TV in the room? Who cares? You didn't come to Chiang Mai to watch TV. Get out! Go see Doi Suthep, walk over to the University of Chiang Mai and see student life, take a "song taew" inside the city walls and go on a walking tour of the beautiful wats...

Great old building transform to a hotel... ”
Yesterday hotel is a old building that transform into a hotel. The rooms are lovely and oldie worldie! Such a classic style that I love. Bed setting and the bathroom are great! The staff are very helpful especially at the front desk. Even though the room is lovely with a no-view balcony, I would prefer a room with the view though. The advertising does not mention about the view! Anyway, I was on the business trip... doesn't have much time to enjoy the view anyway. The location of the hotel is great. It is in a young area of the town (next to the Chiang Mai University) Which is great by me!!! lots of cool stuff happening there!

A cute boutique hotel perfect for a city stay.”
Looking for a place located in a busier part of the city, Yesterday was perfect for us. We were eager to stay in a more local and mixed area with a family/travellers vibe and this hotel being located on the very trendy Nimman Road is perfect for that. The hotel is exactly what it is advertised as, classic antique design with a feeling that you have been whisked into the past. Yesterday also has a lovely cafe situated at the front of the hotel facing the main hustle and bustle of the road, with a clean and convenient massage centre next door which has fake grass instead of a carpet! We used both the cafe and massage centre quite often, in-between our day and night explorations of Chiang Mai city and old city. Perfect for the younger traveller looking for a busy and less dingy (sleazy) area of the usual tourist areas.

Had A Great Stay”
Enjoyed our stay in Yesterday Hotel. Beautiful room and comfortable bed. It is well located outside old town in Nimman area with lots of interesting boutiques, shops, eating places, bars, spas etc. It is usually the last stop for tour pick up and fast stop for drop off making it really nice for us when we join local tours. This hotel is highly recommendable. Just one point to note is that the staff is not so helpful in providing guidance on tour, travelling, restautarant recommendation etc. Other than this negative point, the service is good and staff are attentive. If the staff can be more knowledgeable about the surrounding and places of interest, this would be a perfect place to put up in Chiangmai!! Nevertheless, we still enjoy our stay and would recommend this hotel!

Boutique Style, Spacious, Nightlife”
forgot the name of road but starts with N, which is what Yesterday is situated on is full of cafes, bars and nightclubs that will cater to young travellers and young couples alike. I have found in my experience this area is very popular with Chiang Mai's younger generation as most venture to the nightlife scene at Monkey Bar, Warm Up Etc. The hotel was very good, large rooms, sound cleanliness. Bed was a bit creaky. YOU do have to contend with the sound of passing planes because of the proximity to airport but really it didn't bother me and my buddy in the penthouse suite. Very good hotel, Will stay again!

Swa-eeet Hotel”
This is a pretty cool hotel. Something really different than the "same-ol..same ol" kind of place. These folks put a lot of thought and work into this place and it is fabulous. The details just amaze you. Thanks so much Yesterdays! Chiang Mai is fun, but your hotel is the best part of the trip.

Great Hotel”
Yesterday Hotel is in a great location in one of Chiang Mai's most exciting entertainment / holiday areas. Despite being only a few meters from the busy street, it is surprisingly secluded, quiet and romantic. It combines old-world charm with modern facilities, helpful staff and adequate car parking space. The four poster beds provide the final and irresistible ambience.

Hidden gem in Chiang Mai”
Loved my stay at the Yesterday Hotel. It's a little tough to find at first (set off Niman Road), but it's a hidden gem. Not one of the big new monoliths popping up all over, it's an old hotel that has been carefully renovated with attention to details. The rooms I stayed in were large and comfortable. They offered breakfast at the coffee shop in front of the hotel and it was very nice - freshly made with lots of options. Plus REAL coffee!!! The staff was very helpful with suggestions and knowledgeable about the area. Niman (abbreviated) Road is filled with lots of shops and little restaurants, I liked it much better than the other side of town.

centrally located, proximity to everything”
We stayed in Yesterday hotel for our last day in Chiang Mai. It is centrally located , where so many cafes, restaurants and little boutique shops nearby. Would suggest to spend half day or one day doing some shopping nearby and trying out local food. The hotel is generally simple and neat, with friendly staff and all the necessity you will need in the room provided.

Quiet and comfortable, close to the centre of town”
A nice old building set back from the street, with clean rooms and friendly staff, and breakfast at the café next door was excellent. What made this hotel special were all the little things. They had really thought through the design of the rooms and what would make a pleasant stay for the guests. They even gave us a bowl of fruit as a welcome gift and a small toy when we left (though mine was a spinning top with a big metal spike attached to it, which fortunately I discovered before going through airport security). The location was good for us – on a street with bars and restaurants, but on the opposite side of the old city from the nightlife area, so there was no noise. I would definitely recommend Yesterday if you are looking for somewhere quiet and comfortable close to the centre of town.

Delightful Ambiance & Friendly Staff ”
I was delighted with the well-done ambiance and decor of Yesteday as well as the friendly, helpful staff. I interacted with the team at the front desk, housekeepers, room service and technical team (my wifi expired and someone was at my room to remedy it within about 60 seconds of my calling the front desk). They were all very kind and eager to help. The only con to location was the proximity to the airport. The airplanes taking off overhead was quite loud, but I was thankful that there seemed to be a quiet time between about 10pm and 7am. This must be the case for all hotels on Nimmanhaemin, and even despite this I'd still be pleased to stay at Yesterday again.

Small, lovely and super convenient hotel”
the hotel is located at nimmanhemin area which is very convenient to go anywhere in chiangmai. in that area, you can find lovely coffee shop and restaurant as well as pubs and bars during night time within walking distance. the hotel room is nice and clean with the smell of old time like described in hotel name "yesterday". breakfast is at coffee shop in front of the hotel, so you can see life of people in chingmai during having breakfast which i realy love it.

Very pretty, retro style hotel. Nice location, but a bit dark, and dusty. ”
'Yesterday" is a nicely decorated retro style hotel. So pretty and nicely done. Although there is a balcony, there is no view or room to enjoy the space. But better than nothing. There is a very nice salad restaurant right across, and transportation/location is fantastic. While I very much enjoyed my stay at the hotel, I decided to move to another hotel because of the following reasons: 1. very noisy: literally I felt like I was at the airport. I think the hotel is right on the landing pathway to the airport, and once in a while, I could hear very loud airplane landing sound. Loud air con. 2. dusty: the bed mattress seems old. Very dusty. I had to open the window from time to time to circulate the air. The balcony door has a screen so it worked okay. 3. breakfast - if they had the basics right then it could have been an okay breakfast but I have to tell you that the coffee is horrible (powder coffee boiled and kept aside in a thermal pot for I don't know how long), Juice is also powder juice and the salad on the side of the omelet was a real garnish. 4. Dark - while some rooms were brought and spacious (there were 2 stories flats), but I've stayed at two different style - Delux and Suite, and both of them I felt a bit claustrophobic. Dark and dusty.... Some rooms, depending on the location in the building has better light, and condition could be better.
